  1. The prices are just as bad as the regular stands. I have only been in there once in the past 2 years, and the burgers are soy burgers. Wages were lower in the 80's, but your money went a lot farther then too. How about 2.50 copays on drugs, gas for 50 cents, rent as low as 150/month, etc. Even when I moved out at 20, I could buy a carton of cigs for 5 bucks, my grocery bill was 25 per week, my electric-get this-15 a month. If I took all my maintenance meds like I was supposed to now, it would easily be over 75 a month, and I'm one of the lucky ones. I still think times are harder now than in the past.
  2. In the 80's, season passes were 30 bucks, and me personally, I didn't have any bills except for my car-big difference between now and then. Those were better times for me.
  3. I can't afford to eat in the park, period. I eat before I go, or I leave. Perhaps if I was still living at home or what not, it wouldn't matter, but it matters alot now.
  4. That burns me up. All the bad events at SF lately, really make me wonder what is going on with that chain. Throwing them out of the park is one thing, but they ought to have their birthdays taken away among other things.
  5. Yeah, I remember lighting up at a hospital-nobody gave a second look. Only trouble I ever had was appearing to be underage-which stopped about 2 years ago.
  6. At 10 am, the traffic was backed up on 741 all the way to 42. It was the busiest day so far this year.
  7. Sounds like the fairs I grew up with. Let me add I would not want to be caught alone with any of them either...
  8. Sure do...bigggg mistake
  9. One word of advice-dont drink beer before getting on tempest
  10. I remember when we used to get dressed up just to go to the movies. Could you imagine that today? I remember doing that somewhat...things sure are different now
  11. Adrenaline is a funny thing...I confronted a group of kids that took parts off my truck years ago....thinking back, not the smartest thing I've ever done. They were so shocked they handed them to me on the spot. At the time, I was furious.
  12. Professionals I guess. It can be done. And yes, locks keep honest folks out-but not as much in this economy!!
  13. Saw a skunk year before last under the tower, last year I saw a deer standing by the path before the second lift on beast, cats, and I even took a nap at the theatre during haunt two years ago-I woke up to a girl stating there was a possum-I sat up and there it was beside me...yuk!!! Oh, and I saw a hawk in the parking lot. There are chipmunks who regularly hang out at the front gate and are bold enough to run over your feet-but they're cute.
  14. God, what a mess. Frankly, I'm surprised with the heat that things didn't get out of control.
  15. I enjoy the ride, and was sorry to see it closed last night. I missed the ride two weeks ago because of a protein spill.
  16. You're a mess
  17. Or a cigar in an enclosed car in the winter.....with a beer in the cupholder..yep!! much different
  18. Ok, so now you just admitted you didn't know what you were talking about. Good. Dude, your arrogance is showing. You want to confront someone smoking out of the area, be my guest. You may get away with it a few times, but eventually, a little alcohol and a hot temper and you may reconsider that wisdom when they retaliate. I'd like to know why Kinzel Sr and Jr feel the need to be surrounded by an entourage.....
  19. So is Tempest....I got a lil sick on it, and yes scrambler is great!!

They need to bring them back. Some of the elders are worn out when they get to the gate. Let's see $10 for parking, $4 and change for a Coke...yup-its doable.
  21. I can't believe she had the strength to go in today-god bless her-I know I couldn't have.
  22. So do I. The real cherry Coke from the fountain...yum!!
  23. I am stunned. When I was there memorial day weekend he was in the station at pilgrims plunge actually helping out and greeting us as we came back. I would have never known he was ill. Very sad.
  24. I havent seen a lot, but what I have seen is that associates are friendlier this season, and I felt terrible about the way that guy was talking to that poor kid. There was no excuse for him to be an ass, period. And I'm not whining about the parking lot, it truly is in horrid shape. The potholes can only be patched so many times, and the second weekend they had one direction with an orange cone sitting in the hole in the associate lot-it was big enough to swallow half my forester. If parking fees were being used to maintain and repave the lot, I wouldn't have a problem with the fee even if I was GP-it is very obvious thats not where the funds are going.
