This whole discussion is just a reflection of the public's mentality these days-I'm right, you're wrong, gimme gimme and to hell with you. Before anyone flames me for it, I think I have enough experience dealing with the public to know what I'm talking about. Because of a lot of the behaviour on the board, I don't come here nearly as much as I used to. Would love to go back in time about 3 years before everyone started slinging **** at each other. On the time issue, a simple solution-how about putting the blue "the park closes tonight at ......" sign back up right by the turnstyles? It's been gone about 2 years, and was more reliable than the Kings Island drive sign or anything else. The confusion happens because it starts at the top-some of my work days, I can be emailed the night before with a completely different start time than what was scheduled. If it happens to us, I can understand the public being confused. Instead of getting ****ed at the guest, just listen to them-they usually just want to vent or what not.

What are a lot of you complaining about? At least they're doing something, which is surprising considering the events of the last year. There are some who aren't happy no matter what-i think it's an interesting concept-what the hell, I'll even give it a try.

Are you saying people jumped out of the train as it approached the top of a hill, push the train over the crest, and get back in while it's starting to accelerate down the hill? I'm not saying you're lying, but I'd have to see that to believe it! Go on you tube and watch The Beast test video-its about 6 odd minutes long. If you look closely, you will see workers standing to the sides of the tracks as the train goes by after the second drop. Things were different then, and I believe it. The windstorm knocking down the section of the rose bowl is a perfect example of why it should be torn down. It's just not "right". I don't advocate removing any coaster-except this one.

My biggest irritation these days are those (insert favorite profanity here) basketballs. Every time I go anymore, there are a bunch of kids playing in the middle of midways, and I am sick and tired of having to dodge them. Not to mention the time my daughter was nearly hit in the head on Beast because some idiot took it on and thought it would be real funny to throw it behind him going down the second hill. Give the balls outside the park if they win, and don't allow them back in-simple solution. Guess they'll have to learn the hard way when someone gets hit and the park gets sued.

Never been to Magic Mountain, but when I lived in California, it had a reputation of having a gang problem. Not something I would want to handle alone-tell security who can have the cops throw them out if you can get to them. If they have that big of a line jumping problem, sounds like the thugs have gained control. Never approach a group on your own-that could end badly.

There's a trick to riding a stand up-you bend your knees a little and just stand against the back board. I like them personally-they are adjustable to height and weight and very accomodating to most.

I've had mine checked for jobs and insurance-has nothing to do with my ability to do the job. But hey, you know what? I dont' feel so bad-most of the country has bad credit right now and if they go by that, it will eliminate most of the country. At some point you just say **** it, and I'm there

If the older employees were grandfathered in and allowed, wouldn't that be discriminatory to the ones hired after the rule? I avoid smoke, but the powers that be have their fingers in our lives too much as it is. The caffeine ban would never fly.... I also think the higher insurance premiums for smokers is bs as well. I had one policy that said I couldn't ride a motorcycle-I dropped it and went without insurance for 4 months.

Have to agree with ya there. Even for us relatively young uns, it is exhausting to be on the feet for 8 hours working, and then having to walk to boomerang bay from the front gate. It's to the point I am having trouble, personally.

Instead of worrying about whether that pos of a coaster ever reopens, I would rather see the parking lot completely repaved-now that would be a sensible investment. Some of the holes are big enough to swallow my forester.
