  1. The fact that the kid waited two hours to tell his mom says to me that it very well could have been. I imagine he was confused, scared, and ashamed. I can relate. I had a teacher lock me in a room in 7th grade, all because I couldn't get a musical piece right. I never told anyone about it, and I just recently told my mom about the incident. Had my father known about it, he would probably still be in jail. There are those out there who will make accusations for quick cash. This is known. It deserves a real thorough investigation and if guilty, the perv ought to have the maximum sentence out there. I am hoping the kid comes out ok as well.
  2. Seriously guys, this is no laughing matter. This bothers me. There are more predators out there than you think, some can be right under your nose and you don't know it. My question is, why did they wait so long to release this info? Like a comment that was posted on the article, the guy could be out of state by now. Release the info when its fresh, when a difference can be made. I hope they get the creep.
  3. It's a money pit, pure and simple. Like I've said before, beautiful structure, bad coaster. After the first hill, it is mediocre-and the helix is just plain awful. The amount of money poured into it already has been a waste, and I can't see another 20 million going into it, only with the same result. Plus it's been sitting for two years and the weather is taking its toll. It's time to let it go.
  4. I'll say it again-there is no way I would be a ride op. Imagine living with this tragedy for the rest of your life. Prayers for the family and the employees involved.
  5. Sorry for the double post...this compy is being grumpy tonight.
  6. I can't really give an opinion on Maverick's queue music-I haven't been on it. Shocking, right? Anyway, on the subject of loud music, I loved it when I was younger. In the past year or so, I have noticed hearing loss to the point it's affecting my job, and my phone conversations with people. There are times I compensate for this by piecing the words I do hear to form the idea. I hear someone talk to me, but it sounds like mumbling a lot of the time. What I'm getting at is loud music is enjoyable, but there may be long term consequences. I had trouble hearing the radio at work, and even now the music at the front entrance is so loud it hurts. Maybe they should check the decibel level and go from there?
  7. That looks pretty awesome. I would like the laser pointers. Sometimes I can do very well at KI, and other days I can't hit anything. I guess it depends which gun you get.
  8. Green water? Ick......
  9. I wonder if the weather had something to do with it?
  10. Not good. I don't normally go to water parks, just because I am not a fan of them, but anyone who travels a distance should know before hand what is open and what isn't. I think I would have been a little upset too-information is not an unreasonable request, and you could have rescheduled your trip had you known.
  11. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the trail-and personally, I would like this attraction to be kept out of haunt simply because of the shenanigans that go on during that event.
  12. It's a deal-but let me know when and I'll be there.
  13. Very well done. I found myself feeling sad that they are gone-the movements and all were very life like.
  14. I like what I see in there. Looks like a good place just to relax and escape. I might have to check it out tonight. Heh heh-as for the dinosaur poop-I have some in a box around here somewhere
  15. I have been in the position to put an end to skanky people in the park; however, once they go in they either turn their vulgar shirt back out for everyone to read, or they unbutton the shorts again. As far as being thrown out of the park-perhaps the two vulgar parties should be the ones getting kicked out. There once was a thing called public decency which hasn't existed in the past few years.
  16. This x 1000. In two visits this year, I have noticed something that I never saw all of last year—a complete and total disregard for the dress code. What p***es me off the most is girls walking around in bikini tops. In the two days I've been there this year (one of them not a full day) I have seen at least eight—EIGHT—girls in bikini tops. And I haven't even visited when the waterpark was open yet. Last year, in eight visits, all on days when the waterpark was open, I saw all of one bikini top girl outside of the waterpark. It's ridiculous. I've seen it bad in past years, but I'm just tired of it. About two weekends ago I was standing in the DB queue, and got the treat of being behind a couple who couldn't keep their hands off each other. Next time, I will waste the 4 bucks on the pop machine and dump my Coke over their heads.
  17. Better late than never. I'm sure they have to find out what caused it and prevent a repeat. That will take time.
  18. Important thing, no one was hurt. That's what really matters. The rest can be repaired or replaced.
  19. Probably. Maybe all the moisture shorted something, who knows.
  20. Current cam shows its clear now-must be out. There is a trail of fog over the river.
  21. I wasn't going to comment, but here goes. I wish to heck Cedar Fair would enforce the dress codes. I am so sick of seeing skanky girls with their low cut shorts unbuttoned and their belly rings hanging out, and pants so ill fitting that the guys have to hold their crotches to keep them up. Call me old fashioned, but when I am sitting in festhouse eating, I don't want to see someone's *** crack exposed and nothing on their top half except a bikini top. That's just plain inconsiderate and gross.
  22. Today is packed-cars as far as you can see. The bus lot is full, and cars past the north tolls. Gonna sit out today.
  23. I'll spend the $5. I just hope people don't deface and vandalize them. Seeing how they had to paint over the fencing in the queue on DB makes me worry a little.
  24. Fridays are usually a great time to go. Problem with me is I'm tired after work and miss a lot of them. I had planned to go this past Friday, but we had a crisis at 10 til 5 at work, plus it was raining and after all that I let it go.
