  1. Something made me remember this thread, and right now seems like a great time to bring it back. Here is pic from a visit from this past July when it was a balmy 85 degrees outside!
  2. I didn’t go to grad nite when I was a senior. I can still remember seeing my classmates getting “ready” for it by packing their trunks with beer for the trip. Fast forward a few years and I chaperoned at grad nite very early in my teaching career. Oh my. I understand why they got away from it.
  3. This is the kind of winter we had when KI brought back Winterfest in '05, whenever I had a free weekend, it was miserable weather. I wanted to go really bad because I had missed out on the previous iteration of WF - I had missed a couple opportunities to go during the the last couple years of it (early 90s) and when it looked like I was finally going to be able to go, they ended it. Luckily, I've been able to go every year since 2017 (except 2020, of course).

  5. ^ I just looked that up on YouTube. That’s almost exactly what I’ve always had pictured in my mind of what I wish would go in that spot!
  6. Wow, that’s crazy. I just rode it this past Sunday!

  8. Thank you for sharing your trip report as well as the photos. I'd love to visit KD someday, but I think my brain might melt after going to Kings Island all of these years!
  9. I would love to see any of the shops from the first couple years Kings Island was open. I was actually there, but was too little to remember. There seems to be virtually no pictures out there from the inside of the shops back then.
  10. I knew I went to a PP night a few years ago, and just found the pics...April 15, 2016...a few shots from that evening:
  11. I had the day off and wanted to go to PP day, but when I saw the forecast, I knew it would be insanely packed. I'm happy for Kings Island, but going to wait a little while for my first visit. I appreciated everyone that posted updates/pics of some of the new changes.
  12. I didn't start going to Kings Island regularly until I was in college (early 90s). I was (and still am) so impressed with the people that worked there. I thought they seemed so "with it" and sophisticated. When I grow up, I want to work at Kings Island.
  13. For many years, it was always RT LaRosa's. Then I switched to Coney BBQ, then Brewhouse the last few seasons.
  14. I've always had a soft spot for the one in Rivertown.
