  1. Kentucky Kingdom or Ed Hart uploaded 5 new videos. They plan on adding a coaster better or almost better than chang. The plan on reopening twisted twins or double trouble lola and stella ( they may rename the ride) they also plan on keep the 10 acres that they were going to give back to the fair board. http://www.youtube.com/user/thekentuckykingdom
  2. Hopfully some of these rides are not demolish. I bet some of these rides are stil in good condition, like the Boomarang Coaster and maybe the wild mouse and a couple of flats.
  3. I was thinking something like a major dive machine or a b&m 4th Dimension type ride. Like Ed said, he likes putting things in the park that no other park around this area or in the United States don't here have.
  4. If Kentucky kingdom gets a new signature coaster if the park reopens, what do you think it will be?
  5. When Kentucky Kingdom became Six Flags, Six Flags didn't even go after Kings Island if you think about it.
  6. Very, Very many times...being as I have lived an hour and a half away my whole life... do you remember the old Kentucky Kingdom? not sixflags
  7. Many things, before Kentucky Kingdom even closed. I didn't know this guy knew Ed Hart Personally and I didn't even know Ed lived far from louisville. The Inteperter knows where Ed lives and doesn't want to give out that information! and I also didn't know Ed would never want to open/take over/ buy Kentucky Kingdom ever again. But fighting31irish, how many times have you been to Kentucky Kingdom?
  8. I received quite a bit of false information from MR. INTERPRETER! but yes, Ed is a resident of Kentucky. His KKRC headquarters is about 2 miles from the park.
  9. This whole bond thing isn't just about Kentucky Kingdom, its about the whole state. With this bond, The state of Kentucky will bring in Hundreds and Hundreds of Jobs into this viewing area. We wouldn't be loosing any jobs by the way. More hotels, tourist attractions, etc will start to make money once again, also bringing a lot more money into the state of Kentucky. We all know Kentucky Kingdom failed in the past for obvious reasons, but did it fail with Ed Hart? umm... I think not. Why are you all against the park being successful? Everyone knows the park can (or will) be successful.
  10. and there are reasons why the park failed, which he explained in the video above.
  11. Wonder why Six Flags failed in Ed Harts Words? well... here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91QLV-uStyw also check out the Kentucky Kingdom you tube channel in the link below http://www.youtube.com/user/thekentuckykingdom
  12. You got a question for the Kentucky Kingdom Redevelopment Company? well ask them on Facebook! Ed Hart will answer those questions in a video sometime next week. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Louisville-KY/Kentucky-Kingdom/150584424975738
  13. Kentucky Kingdom will not open in 2011. It will however add more attractions in 2012 with possibly 2 new coasters. http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20101028/NEWS01/310280079/Kentucky+Kingdom+won+t+reopen+in+2011
  14. The Kentucky Kingdom Re-Development company has launch their own facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Louisville-KY/Kentucky-Kingdom/150584424975738?v=app_4949752878&ref=mf
  15. Six Flags New England, Over Georgia, St. Louis and more are offering free parking for 2011. It confirms this on each of those parks home pages. It seems like more parks are offering free parking next year like Hopefully Kentucky Kingdom,Kings Island and Six Flags parks .
  16. GM and Chrysler are businesses. It not your state's number 1 tourist attraction. Kentucky Kingdom used to be Kentucky's #1 tourist attraction.
  17. I agree with truth seeker. The park failed twice and was successful with Ed Hart. You make a great point that this tourist attraction is beneficial to the state - bringing jobs, visitors, $'s to the area. It's too bad the State Fair Board Chairman didn't recognize this when he refused to re-negotiate the lease with Six Flags. Sure seems to me as if that would have been the better solution for the state. I doubt that. I mean, Do you really think Six Flags closed the park because of parking? I still believe thats a big excuse to close the park. Even the KFEC said the same thing. Isn't Six Flags offering free parking for 2011 anyways?
  18. Ed Hart hasn't come back to Kentucky Kingdom? He has, If he wasn't we wouldn't be seeing him, and he wouldn't be saying hes the owner of the park. Ed Hart may not won't nothing, but he put up 3 million dollers of his own money. In my pov, Ed just don't want to see a park he created that was once sucessful go under.
  19. Reader letter what ever, I was just trying to make a point that the bond issue wouldn't just help Kentucky Kingdom, but help Louisville/Kentucky bring in jobs to hotels, other tourist attractions, construction for revenorating the park, and bring in money to the state. I know nothing cant happend without the bond issue proposal, I didn't say that and I didn't say they will approve the bond issue a month before the election. Many here in Kentucky belive that the bond will be approve. This is a huge tourist attraction in the state (which used to be #1 btw), and the state needs this park inorder to recieve revenue. Like said before in the news, they don't won't the park to just sit there they want it open. You predict wrong! Like when you said Ed Hart will never come back to Kentucky Kingdom and you knew him personally and some BS and etc.
  20. ^ So negative. smh Were not going to hear anything about the park untill october or so. Thats when the proposal will go through. The only time we see political consultants is when Ed talks about the park and the news media's call in political consultants . Remember, the bond issue is not just for the park, but to bring in money into the state and full time jobs here in louisivlle like said in this article. http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20100923/OPINION02/309230025
  21. to me, competing with Kings Island and holiday world is a good thing. Isn't this what we all want! that will make Kings Island and holiday world add more attractions. But to me, he isn't using the money to compete with those parks, hes just trying to bring back the public and make things the way they used to be. Kings Island and Holiday World has been advertising here in louisville MAJOR for years to be honest. Has Kentucky Kingdom had commerical every 20-30mins? Billboards everywhere? Radio Commercials near Cincinnati? Thats what Kings Island has been doing for years here in louisville, not just this past summer. OMG MR.WORMAN DIDN'T RUN OFF SIX FLAGS! THATS JUST AN EXCUSE SIX FLAGS CAME UP WITH TO CLOSE THE PARK! YOU KNOW SIX FLAGS WANTED THIS PARK GONE/OUT OF THEIR HANDS!...
  22. Those are those parks. It doesn't mean what happen to those parks will happen to kentucky kingdom. Anyways, I do believe Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom did borrow money from the state or government in 2006. Those funds went to the waterpark when it was refurbish and deluge was added.
  23. when are you going to stop doubting the park re-opening? you got to stay positive, no one wants the park to be closed forever.
  24. It looks like Kentucky Kingdom will have a major new ride for 2011. Could it be a coaster? http://www.courier-journal.com/article/20100909/NEWS01/309100004/Reopened+Kentucky+Kingdom+would+spark+economy++study+says *****8/23/2014******* I created this topic in response to speculate new possible attractions at Kentucky Kingdom in response to Ed Hart's very first attempt to reopen the park in 2011 as I am a major fan of the park. Yet, this topic has primarily used to degrade Kentucky Kingdom and hopes for the park to fail here by many KIC Members. After 3 years of being closed, Hart finally received the keys of the Kingdom along with the KKRC who had invested millions to get the park back up reopening the park in 2014.Even though the park is reopened, hopes of a closed Kingdom continues on this site/thread and its successes and promises are always interpreted to failure.
  25. How so? I'm not trying to start an argument or anything, I just would like to know what makes you say that since I've had nothing but good interactions with every HW employee I've been in contact with. Some of their employees are just afraid/intimidated by black people It isn't the teens, its the older people that work their. I had a couple of incidences, Like when I got off the voyage I decided to go into a shop and purchase some rock candy. I ask the cashier how much is this rock candy stick that I picked up with tax, her eyes looked nervous when I asked! and she quickly said... A DOLLER! I was like ok thanks, and you could see fear in her eyes. When she rung up my items it came up the screen like $1.07, and then as I handed her my cash, she quickly garbed the cash out of my hand. When she was about to give me my change, I held my hand out, but instead of her putting the money in the palm of my hand she put the money on the counter. Here I go. Sorry but I've gotta say something because I hate prejudice and how overly sensitive we are to it. I've had black friends all my life, have played in bands with them and trained in martial arts with them. However, I've been in a couple very dangerous situations and find myself being much more uncomfortable around black guys that I don't know. I'm the same way with Pits for the same reasons. I mean no offense. I'm not racist... my wife is hispanic, I'm Irish. I'm a long haired rocker looking guy and I've had my share of prejudice but I've learned a lot. Sometimes people have good reasons to be uncomfortable around people that look a certain way and a lot of the time, they are just unfamiliar with that type of person. For me it involves lethal weapons (while protecting one of my black friends), someone trying to break into my house, a hostage situation, and a couple scary neighbors who had some horrific felony charges they were fleeing. sccard, I'm sorry you had a bad experience...especially if it was prejudice. However, to make a blanket statement like "the park is prejudice or has very prejudice employees" is unfair (my emphasis added). I know, but to me, if the park was in a city, it would be different.
