Decoding Episode II: Rivertown 2017 and the Falling Trees
If we were to get a new flume, something like Timber Mountain at Knott's would be awesome!

^ he wasn't accusing you of not reading. What he was saying was that you misinterpreted his original post that you quoted. His original post was a general overview of previous discussions that have happened in this thread, not reasons that we were getting a roller coaster. Something else that doesn't need to happen here is quoting a post directly above you. Especially when there are now 6 quotes within it.

Texas Church Carnival Death
A good rule to follow with amusement safety devices is that if you wouldn't be comfortable allowing a member of your own family on a particular seat of a ride because something isn't working 100% correctly, don't put anyone else's family member in it.

Yep, directly on the other side of I-264. If you have the endurance to climb to the top of Deep Water Dive's tower, you can get a really nice view of the airport from there. Yes it is, and to be more specific, Runway 17R is about .23 Nautical Miles away directly lined up with Storm Chaser so as you could imagine the planes are about 400ft off the ground as they pass over Storm Chaser so that they land on the threshold.

I just watched that and that's basically what it looks like anyways no edit needed lol. So many UPS planes flying over to land.

Chance Hyper GT-X. Likely far cheaper than both of the other two and the one just south of KI has had amazing reviews from just about everyone. Is it possible Kings Island ponies up and makes their own version that's longer and runs 3 trains?

Anyone that's had a less than thrilling experience on a Wing Coaster I urge you to ride Thunderbird. That thing was awesome!

^ I certainly hope not. While I love our Arrow corkscrew coaster, we are definitely NOT in need of a second.

Posters that do not live in the city should use descretion when making assumptions about parts of town. While the area KK is located in is far from the nicest part of the city it is also far from the worst. Yes, it is close enough to where people who live on the rougher side of the city may venture out but it will by all means be handled promptly by the park. People who cause a ruckus there will not remain there for long.

Something that is more likely to happen than an INTAMIN Mega-lite... Who remembers that little blue roller coaster that packs a major punch, is 100ft tall and about 70 miles southwest of Kings Island. I think KI would go to that manufacturer before INTAMIN.

Does Smiler come to your mind when you talk about a Gerst Infinity? Even if that accident was human error it's still also a fault of the safety system to allow that incident to occur. Any ride would be susceptible to this type of error. Once put in maintence mode, if a problem is cleared the system can't say "oh you don't know what you're doing so I'm going to ignore your inputs". It could just as easily have been a B&M coaster. If a technician decides to use the "reset" or "block clear" switches. As far as the coaster knows everything is good to go. An accident happening on a particular type of ride is no reason to condemn it. What if parks stopped buying RMC's after the Texas Giant accident. We wouldn't have 2 anticipated rides coming this year and likely would have a dueling coaster left to rot and there wouldn't be Lightning Rod coming at Dollywood either. Besides the accident happened outside of the country and its not like the GP in the states are gonna be like, oh I'm not riding that because the Smiler crashed. If you asked someone if they knew what the Smiler was the likely answer would be something a person does when they're happy.

What about a Gerstlaur Infinity coaster? While not great on capacity it can pull around 1000 an hour and has potential to have an amazing layout.

I still want a Suspended Top Spin that is partially enclosed like Talocan, does anyone know the bill for that project, including scenery? Edit: Yes, I know that someone knows (looking at you Terp) maybe I should ask if anyone would like to share.

In my city there are two Thorntons gas stations directly across from each other and they are now working on the third to occupy 3 of 4 corners on an intersection.

Project 2017?
I'm not fimiliar with those two rides but my guess would be due to their design it may not be a necessity. I'm going to assume one of those is a raft ride like White Water Canyon and say they found a way to escape if needed, without the use of grated steps. Snake River I cannot say. However each individual park is responsible for working with the state and manufacturer of each ride to come up with various safety policies and what is required on one may not be the same on another.

Project 2017?
^ what if you had to be evacuated in the case of a power outage and had to walk down those grated steps that would cut your feet wide open and expose you to tetanus. Have to think of every possibility when coming up with safety rules.

Accident on Alton Towers Smiler
Despite the accident if one does a YouTube search along the lines of "The Smiler reopened" it appears that the lines are still multiple hours long. A change that stood out to me is that all references with the word "corrected" have been removed. In the spot where it pauses before the second lift and it said "half way corrected" now just says halfway. The audio has also been changed to omit halfway corrected. I hear there are now more operators and more cameras around the ride.

Accident on Alton Towers Smiler
I can't think of any park that releases ridership numbers for any individual ride other than for a milestone such as "Banshee's 1,000,000th rider!"
