I'm glad you joined this site, or there would be something big missing. I also love that there are many Crypt items still out there! You know what I'll be buying next time I'm at the park!

Yes. Flight of the Valkeryes (or however you spell it) still plays, the machine guns fire as well as the fire, and the LED's are working. We have the same new police sirens as last year, as well. GYK, I just looked up a recent POV taken 3 days ago from Kings Dominion (to see what it's like), and my God do we have it good! They have 2 police cars (no third), minus the sirens, and the helicopter arm is snapped back, and at the MCBR, it's just a "stop and look at what was!". Also, you won't believe this, but there's a comment saying: "Actually, some of the effects still work. During busier days, Kings Dominion still turns on the helicopter attack (with sound effects), fog covering the tunnel, fire from gasoline pumps, and large fire above the tunnel. It's one of the only parks to retain most of it's effects." Bolded for emphasis. Meanwhile, I'm just facepalming.

Why does Cedar Fair (at least the old) SEEM to value Kings Island more than the other Paramount Parks?

Delirium is still down. There were people who were working at the top for about 45 minutes, but the site was silent the rest of the day. Adventure Express was down in the morning. Unclear why. Diamondback gave more aggressive floater air in the front this time around(?). Firehawk had nice operations- Always a train on the tracks. The first room in the saucer in Flight of Fear seems to have gotten a little more love (couple new lights), but the station has some flickering lights that are about to go. Decals on White Water Canyon are starting to peel (not surprised). Blue Racer is very rough. I hope it gets retracking soon. The Red Racer is smooth as glass. Insane air when you snap down to the turn along the Coney/Rivertown midways on Vortex (front seat). Adventure Express theming is starting to take a turn for the better. Still some strong laterals. My baby's entrance as well as some of Diamondback's footers have started to gain overgrowth. So, that was a little synopsis of what I noticed at the park. -TheCrypt

Well when Action Zone did debut, Congo Falls stuck out as an odd-one-out sorta ride. On a related note, why does Kings Island still supply power to the Adventure Village lamp posts? (Gordon, you read my mind!)

To me, it seems that the 18+ group is sometimes worse than the 13+. People smoking on rides, smoking in lines, picking fights, among others. So the older group doesn't mean that it is the most mature.

I agree with jdawg. However, Joncars05, not all teens are misbehaved when dropped off at the park. I know I'm not. But I also see your point of the argument. I can not begin to tell you how many time's I've gotten flicked off on The Racer, told to f*** off on The Beast, heard "THE BLUE RACER SUCKS!" when younger kids are clearly in audible distance, etc. In short, I think that there are "good" people who get dropped off, who do not line jump, who don't curse, and who don't run. So, I say increase in price to about $90 for a renewal of Gold.

It was reported awhile back that it would receive TG treatment, and this article is, like GYK said, neither here nor there. I think the TG treatment could come to fruition.

It seems like Rivertown has the top two coasters at KI. Not to mention it had best flat ride from 2002-2007. Harsh... Just... Harsh...

In the Action River, or Splash River as it has been somewhat appropriately dubbed, sounds like a huge dissappointment to general crowds this year. The could still have the water effects, but instead of powerwashing you, just a light pour. You don't need Shoot-the-RidersRapids style blasters, but a gentle spritz. That is where the spitting beagle would best fit!
