  1. I think it's stuped how many people talk bout Delerium's broken transmission. I think Zypher is a stuped ride and should be taken outta King's Island.

I voted for all areas. Each has a unique personality to me. International Street: I love the architecture and elegant fountains. I prefer those to that of Kings Dominion's. Action Zone: I love the secludedness of Flight Deck, the way Delirium and Drop Tower act as the center pieces of the area, the way each ride has their own identifiable sounds (Flight Deck's horse-esque anti-rollback, Invertigo's lifts, Delirium's whooshing as it gets started, Drop Tower's hum and magnetic brakes... Some of my favorite sounds in the entirety of the park! Oktoberfest: I love the way Viking Fury swoops over the pond, and I just love Adventure Express! Coney Mall: I like how the area takes you back to a classic amusement park, and The Racer next to the Coney Mall sign is the perfect opening to a great area. Rivertown: This is actually one of my least favorite areas, sad to say. There's just no trees, Diamondback unrightfully conquers the midway in place of a beautiful pond with surrounding trees, and there's a giant unused warehouse sitting in plain sight. The only thing that takes me back to an old fashioned Ohio settlement is the short walkway from the KIMVRR to White Water Canyon. I think that there's even a dried up waterway there (can't believe nobody's noticed it). To me, it seems even more lost than Oktoberfest. Planet Snoopy: I like this area because it is great for kids. The kids can relate to the area as opposed toNickelodeon because half the rides there were loosely themed around shows that were off the air years ago. The area as a whole doesn't seem depressing. Who remembers the Fairly Odd Coaster? That was awful. X-Base: This subsection actually makes me feel like I'm in a government testing facility. Interesting how something simple can go a long way. As a side note, has anybody ever wondered what would happen if Cedar Fair themed Flight of Fear? THAT is interesting.
  3. Why on Earth would we want a dirty park, broken rides and themes (where Delirium's breakdowns are the norm), fading paint... Or an operating Son of Beast!
  4. I'm sure many agree that it packs quite a punch for the size and audience that it entertains.
  5. I think we should come up with a new name for Son of Beast: It that Must Not be Named sounds fitting, no?
  6. Woodstock Express.
  7. People here spell Delirium "Delerium". It bothers me too. Same thing with how people spell Zephyr. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've seen "Zeypher" or "Zypher" and the likes.
  8. I just felt that the Outer Limits thing was more funny than stuped. Riding Adventure Express, couple behind me: Wife: Whys they gots all dis wood? Husband: Cuz it's just there for special effex, yeh know? EDIT: ^That might've been a perverted "joke".
  9. On the topic of ADA Regulations (and thus is completely off topic), but in theory, couldn't the International Restaurant be utilized by the public as a full-scale restaurant? If it was built prior to the new code, it goes by the old code from which it was built, therefore it does not need a ramp or a complete accessible elevator. One of my middle schools works like that (the other 2 middle schools don't have any stairs--new ADA Regulations), as does our high school (no elevators, ramps, just stairs). I know, completely off topic, but it's something that has bothered me for awhile.
  10. I've been temporarily stopped on Flight Deck's lift before, and stopped in the station on Adventure Express because someone had their phone out on the ride. "Please put away your phone." "..." "Sir, please put away your phone." "..." "Man in the red shirt, put away your phone!" "Uh, I'll have to call yeh back..." EDIT: I completely forgot about a Delirium problem too. I had the same problem as Oldiesmann. Thanks for reminding me!
  11. Me did not. Sure wish I coulda grew years prior, but alas, I did not. As I understand, the worst year to hit the ride was 2007. Frequent break downs, broken effects (sparks, techno rays, black light paint, water shut off). Keep in mid, this ride was under FUN, not Paramount. I find it fun to wonder what could have been. Come 2011, would Tomb Raider: The Ride be in a worse shape than in 2005? Would it be operational, even? Would it be worth a ride, or just a "Well, I guess I'll ride for a count..." kinda ride? The Crypt was fun. That's what it was, never meant to be thrilling IMHO. The hang time against the OTSR's was enough "thrill" for me. I would go into better detail (as if anyone cared), but an iPad isn't my preferred method of type.
  12. Gee, I don't know whether to Like that post or hate it! I may have an unhealthy love for the late Crypt.... =P EDIT: If I had a dislike button, I would definitely dislike jdawg's post a billion times.
  13. Great pictures. I've always wanted to visit Stricker's.. We'll see about that. That Electric Rainbow night picture is absolutely striking! Thanks so much for posting!
  14. It's broken in Safari.
  15. Something like Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit comes to mind. Might be a bit aspensive.
  16. I didn't like The Crypt. I looooved it!
  17. Holy poop, only 5 rides? What if my favorite ride is Adventure Express, or The Crypt?
  18. KIC, CWMania, Screamscape occasionally, and KIExtreme occasionally.
  19. I prefer the outside filled first, because I can judge the wait. Also, just ask the Ride Op outside. They're always happy to help!
  20. That concert would be over in half an hour. Not if he conducts at 5 BPM!
  21. I'm surprised how much activity there is here early on in the morning! I love Diamondback. I've never been scared of any ride, and this was no exception. Rides are heart pounders or pure fun, just not scary. I'm glad it's the only roller coaster at Kings Island not to have a seat belt! EDIT: I also lost my flip flop on Diamondback...At the brake run...
  22. Please try to take pictures and have fun at Indiana Beach!
  23. You think so? I've met a few Kings Island ride-ops who actually care about the guests and their safety. Granted, they aren't 16 (but has anyone met a ride-op who is?).
  24. Guns N Roses aren't together anymore, thus not making them eligable... EDIT: But I would say: 1. Disturbed 2. Metallica 3. Rob Pottorf, playing the Tomb Raider and Flight of Fear music live with an entire symphony!
