Interesting tidbit. Most of the videos in that Media Kit do not have audio. Is that my browser or is there really no audio?

I'm heading down to KI this Saturday so I'll get them processed there. That's good to know that the parking turns out to be free. Thanks for the help, I guess I'll just wait till I get to KI to get the passes.

Hey all. I had a quick question. I was planning on taking a two day trip up to CP, and at least two trips to KI with my girlfriend this summer. Today at work I figured that I should just get a platinum pass instead of paying for the trips separately. Does this sound sane to anybody else? Also, how (or what) is the best way to buy it? If I wait to get it at the park, I know I'll have to pay for parking, but will that go towards the price of the passes? If I get them online, I'm just nervous about spending that much money online. Is there anywhere else to get it besides the park? I know Meijer sells season passes, but I'm not sure about the platinum passes. Thanks in advance for the help.

I joined in May of 2007 in prep for a trip to KI. This forum has been so valuable to me in terms of KI info.

You may think you'll be able to control your arm, but anything could happen. I would err on the side of caution. You only have one body, and KI will still be there on the 5th. (Man I sound like my parents, when did that happen? )

I agree with you, Cory. People still have to do the things they have to do, so the best bet is to find what works for you and hope you can save a little coin in the process.

Hmmm... Let's look through KICentral's handy dandy history feature. That picture can give you a general idea. Wow, no fences on the pool. KI must have had more faith in the general public back then... Or people didn't act like complete fools, probably the latter...

Yeah, from that picture, and my little knowledge of things of this ilk, it looked like they were just sitting on the surface. Now that I know they run deep underground, it makes more sense.

This may be a dumb question, but here goes. I was looking a the pictures of Dominator over at RCDB (http://www.rcdb.com/ig4079.htm?picture=4) and I got to wondering, how do the footers not slide out of position? I'm not very well versed on construction but I just assume that they would move. Are they anchored to the existing concrete? Just wondering...

I too was upset by the changes that were made in the "Paramount" regime. Ultimately though, I knew I had no control over it and like has been said, change is inevitable. The people (CF) who are running the park know what they're doing. If something changes, it happens for a reason. There are many things to consider when either adding an attraction or removing one, and I'm sure every angle is covered before a decision is made. Change has happened, is happening and will continue to happen, we can only hope that the changes being made do not degrade the experience or the park itself.

I know it's been said that the lack of banking is what doomed The Bat, but how does this compare to say, Top Gun today? Did the track really change that much? This is my lack of engineering coming through.

Horrible reaction from who? The general public? Try again... Of course not. I was just stating that it seems to be the consensus on KIC that "Flight Deck" is a lazy, lackluster name. At least from what I've seen. I could be wrong. I'm sure the general public does not have any idea that any of the rides are changing names. Most people probably won't even notice when they enter the queue for said rides....

Exactly... That should be understood by everyone on KIC. I never believed anything until "someone in the know" (Dane, Ryan, etc...) posted it or it was directly on the front page of KIC. I know I'm newer here but I still know who the "ones with info" are....

That looks like good old Hara Arena. I had no idea that a toughman was going on over there... Weird that I didn't see/hear anything about it.... darn, where was everybody??? Did they also not know?

The names of the rides affected by the switch from Paramount have been changed on the site, FYI...
