Does anyone think we'll ever see another ride like Flight Commander. I only rode it once, but I thougt is was neat that you could choose how the ride went. I know someone died trying to switch seats or something like that, but I thought it was a unique ride to KI. Did the death have anything to do with the ride's closure?

Thanks, guys. I didn't think fanny (or waist packs) would be an issue. It looks like we're going to get the two day admission thing this year. So if I don't get to ride it on Saturday, I'll definitely make it a priority to ride on the second visit. I'm absoulutely getting a season pass next year.

What exactly is "stacking"? I keep seeing it on here, and I really have no clue. Stacking is when they let all 3 trains set up in the brakes. Example of this would be, 1 train in the Station, 1 train in the Ready Brakes, and one train in the Safety Brakes (by shake rattle and roll). I can understand having one train in the station and waiting to unload but all 3 trains should never be stopped at the same time, unless you are having a delay in station, such as a voban (vomit clean-up) or a disabled guest, getting on or off the train. I worked at Vortex in 2001 and we worked very hard to not stack the trains. Thanks.

What exactly is the policy of "No Loose Articles" for Firehawk. I usually keep my glasses in a fanny pack when I go to parks. Does this apply to me? If so, how much are the lockers? Also, how crowded has the park been on Saturdays so far? I'm planning to go on the 16th, so anything will help. I know it's going to be crowded, but I don't know wheter I should try and ride Firehawk, or use the ride's "new" status to just crush rides on other rides. Thanks in advance.

I have thouroughly enjoyed both of the Trip Reports I've read from you Combat. I've been to the Point a few times and I'm planning a trip this summer. I probably won't stay in a CP related hotel, (I find the Comfort Inn in Huron to be a fine place, close too), but I'm planning on going over two days. Great TR! Thanks.

If they tear it down how much you think they'll charge for a piece of it in the gift shops? I don't know but that would be one hell of a souveneir. Funny though.

Chef, you of ALL people should know it is imitation soft serve. It is NOT ice cream. Sigh. Either way it's still tasty, although a bit pricey. That, and the Smurf ride used to be my absolute faves of KI. 3.59 is not too bad for "Frozen Milk Treat." I regularly pay more than that for Coldstone Creamery. But that's another topic, for another day. Coldstone trumps the "Blue Ice Cream" by about 23 in my book.

WOW. On my best day up there I only rode MF twice. Great trip. I'm glad you had fun.

Drop Zone Every time I get to the top, I freak out like nobody's business. I don't know why, I've ridden it plenty of times, but it's just something about it. Like I don't feel safe on it or something, which is crazy, but that's what runs through my mind every time. I can't even scream or yell, I just kind of grunt and who knows what else when it drops.

Thanks for the info, Combat. It looks like I may have to plan a trip out there. I'm not loving the rude employees though. I will not tolerate what you had to endure, I'll say that much right now.

I'm giving it a last-ditch effort when I go on the 16th. I'll try the back seats, and if that doesn't work, I may see if I can try the front. If that doesn't work, I'll be disappointed.

I'm a "big" 6'5". But I'm not that big, really. I used to have a 50" waist and MF was not a problem. Now I'm down to a 42" waist but my main problem is my height. I've never had a problem with any ride at CP. I've not ridden TTD or Wicked Twister yet, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

I would assume that with a full year or more under their belts, CF would change the season pass procedure to their liking. I really can't see SOB going anywhere.

Jeez, and I thougt the Screaming Eagle was bad.

CF has had to deal with DT at CP for quite some time now, and DT is much larger and uglier than TR will ever be. Wife for Beast? Please tell me that was just a poor try at humor. Yeah, how many family members does The Beast have to have, anyway? "You can't tame The Beast." One is enough.

What is "The Voyage?" Am I missing something?

Thanks for the info. I'm a bit taller than you, and I'm hovering around that perfect bowling score. I'm not too big in the torso, so I think I'll be fine. I really was worried about the height thing. That seems to be the thing that gets me the most often.

See now that's what I'm thinking for FOF. The front seats may afford me a little extra room to wiggle in there. Well, the front SEAT actually. If not, I'll try the back, and see where it goes from there. In the past, I've had to cross my feet to get into some coasters, none at KI, but some at CP. But you can ride it though? You're taller than me so if you can ride it, I shouldn't have a problem, eh?

If I may ask, what, specifically was the reason? It was really painful with the OTSR. You hit your head pretty hard on the restraints. It stopped a lot of people from riding the ride. Ah, that's what I thought, but I wanted to make sure that it wasn't because of some mechanical reason.

My brother is 6'7" and he just barely made it in. I heard that the height restriction is supposed to be 6'10" but the tape was just barely taller than my bro. Thanks for the info. I guess my wait will not be in vain. I'm super excited to ride Firehawk. Hopefully, the line won't be too crazy when I go on the 16th.
