A New name for Son of Beast
I always find it funny when on a forum someone tells someone else to keep something to themselves. It kinda goes against the entire purpose for having a forum.

A New name for Son of Beast
Implies roughness but still has the tie to The Beast: "Wrath of Beast" Either that or "Next Stop : Hospital"

8/15/07-Questions-
Good trip report. I'm glad to see that we have possibly have another coaster lover on our hands. It's always good to hear this. From my experience, they usually just have enough for side A so there's no point in spending more money to operate side B because I'm pretty sure even if it was open it'd just be another Spongebob.

080407: Scavenger Hunt
O, that's cheap. Just like the Big Shot thing because that could've been any ride with ORP. I put down Little Bill's Giggle Coaster because it's the easiest to see.

Isn't that in Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle for the ORP?

NEW ride idea
Actually behind the Wild Thornberry's log flume is the picnic grove.

NEW ride idea
ONLY opening left for them to expand? Not really. I'm pretty sure someone earlier said that one of the reasons for them wanting to take out TRTR is to open up the land behind it. That area is dead by FX Theater but it's kinda limited by The Beast and there is a lot more land behind TRTR.

Has any ride made you
That's a clutch performance right there lol I don't remember ever throwing up on a ride but I have gotten many a headache after some rides at KI.

Abnormal Lines
I went a Thursday a week or so ago and FoF was full on the inside but not the outside turnstiles. It was kind of random since it was a Thursday but it was really hot that day so that was probably why. I was also there yesterday and I walked on SoB in the middle of the day. I guess you just have to take advantage of what is presented to you.

Kenton's Cove Keelboat Canal Topic
There was a rotating loading platform as I remember. I don't know about the height but it was probably twice as tall if not taller. I don't really remember riding though I might have once. It was removed for TR:TR. The boats only split for the drop I believe; they traveled in the same flume until before the drop where there were two right next to each other and then it came back together after the drop. That's all I have and I'm pretty sure it's all correct. Hopefully someone here who rode it while in their prime can speak. I'm only a year older than you.

My 8/14 Trip
The house lights were not on when I rode around 3:15ish.

My 8/14 Trip
I forgot to mention that the second half of the double ride today was my 20th ride on The Beast this year. I was pretty excited about that. Depending on what you believe for the duration of The Beast that's a lot of rolling and coasting. I know some people ride some rides that many times in one day but I feel pretty proud.

My 8/14 Trip
I was also there today, August 14th. My friend was finally done with work for the summer and I was bored so we decided to go up there together. We got to the parking lot at about 11 and went to Boomerang Bay first since we were gonna meet some people from his family there. I haven't been to BB that early and there were barely any lines. We did Taz Typhoon x2, Cool Racers x2, Dwn Undr Thndr x2, Sydney Sidewinder, Bondi Pipeline, Awesome Aussie Twister, Crocodile Run all with little to no wait. We then ate our packed lunch in the parking lot and went over to the dry side at around 1:15. To let our food settle we hit up Fairly Odd Coaster. I think that may have been my last time on it because my knees were jammed into the front of the seat. Next we walked to the back of the park and double rode The Beast. It was fairly rough but still good overall. Then we walked past IJST which for some reason had a pretty decent line. Right as we turned the corner to go to The Vortex, an attendant moved a couple garbage cans which blocked the queue and we were on the first car to go out. I have no idea why it didn't open till then but it did and it was good. We rode in the back I've probably said it at least once so I'll say it again, great great GREAT air down the first hill. Then we took the 25 minute wait at FoF over the 45 minute wait at Firehawk. Racer in the last row on the blue car was more intense then I remember. Good fun. The next ride was both adventurous and expressive followed by a ride which was fairly delirious. Then we chose to ride SoB where I was expecting at least a half an hour wait. We got into line and there was basically no one there. For a second I thought the station was quarantined or something. We walked right to the last row and were second in line. We were on the blue train. The air down the first hill was good but the roughness at the bottom of the rose bowl could've been definitely done without. It was a lot rougher than any other time around this year. The helix around the base of the lift hill felt very smooth as was most of the ride except the rose bowl. We finished the day with Top Gun and Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle. We left around 4:30. It was a really good day with very few lines.

X-Flight - Firehawk
it opened with three trains but only ran with two on the track at a time so they took the third one off well then why did sf buy 3 trains For increased ride capacity? He said it opened with three trains so they obviously tried to use all three but the third probably just ended up in getting set aside for spare parts.

'Weird Al' Yankovic Returns to the Park, Kings Island Rated Top 10 Park, Kings Island Seeks Cold-Blooded Employees, Boomerang Bay and More
That's awesome. I wonder who gets to pick the coaster because he could not be a fan of coasters and choose like Fairly Odd Coaster. I'd want to ride The Beast with him.

Child Molester nabbed at Disneyland Paris
Very good points. Wasn't Matterhorn Bobsleds the first coaster to use tubular steel tracks?

New Son Of Beast Improvements
Actually, they took off the tunnel on Fairly Odd Coaster (or Beastie (or Scooby-Doo's Ghoster Coaster)).

Aug 6-9: Kingda Ka down for scheduled maintenance
(8/10/07) A Screamscape reader was quick to point out that Six Flags Great Adventure already has one set of mandatory lockers in the park on Kingda Ka. The big difference is that these lockers are currently free. Otherwise riders are allowed to set their items along the walls of the exit platform at the rest of the rides, or in a set of cubby holes or storage bins provided on rides like El Toro, Medusa and Nitro. Source I just found this interesting with the current route KI has taken with regards to carry on items.

Child Molester nabbed at Disneyland Paris
Yeah, and, "The source said the videos included sequences of the suspect raping one of his nieces, and of a series of sexual assaults on other minors." Where's your joke about that?

Hannity Freedom Concert 8/9/07
Wow. I wish I would've went up to check out the short lines. I wonder if the park will be in a similar state for the Weird Al concert.

Child Molester nabbed at Disneyland Paris
Having general disdain for a company because of their "plastic" themeing is one thing but accusing the same company of harboring pedophiles is, IMO, totally unacceptable. Even in jest, the situation is too serious.

Disney's MGM Studios to be Renamed...
I, for one, am shocked that it isn't something like Disney/Pixar Studios.

New Son Of Beast Improvements
Yeah, I think that the only way possible that KI gets a wooden coaster is if they take out SoB. Combined between CP and KI there are 30 coasters and only 5 are wood. Two of the five are considered very rough (SoB and Mean Streak). So I have a feeling if CF builds another woodie at one of their parks they'd choose the relatively safe route and get something from the Gravity Group because of how well Hades and the Voyage have been rated and how the hybrid style is a lot smoother. About the improvements to SoB, I agree that the MCBR should not slow it as much but I'm sure there's no way this would happen since with less speed it exerts less stress on the track and on your body. O, and yeah, there's no way the loop is coming back (just check out DeLorean Rider's post). I also feel that the future of SoB is becoming gloom unless they can seriously improve the Rose Bowl and show the GP that it's safe.
