  1. I've rode the Red Racer twice and the Blue Racer once this year. The Blue Racer gave me a headache because of the roughness whereas the Red Racer is as smooth as glass throughout. 5/5
  2. I was in line for the Crypt two weeks ago and there were these two teenaged couples there too. The one couple made out for a couple seconds and then stopped but the other couple was going at it hardcore for like at least a solid minute. It was rather disgusting.

Yeah, the design of Firehawk's queue breads line jumping. Last year I was next to get let into the station when a couple people hopped the line in plain view and walked right into the station. The employee told us to hold put while he/she walked up to the people and proceeded to remove them from the line. I suggested that the employee take the height measuring stick to beat them but you can't win them all
  4. I think the only problem with the red coloring in the fountain is on Saturday when the park is open before Halloween Haunt. It would just look really weird for families with young kids. IMO, it would be easier to use red lights and you could just drop some skeletons (with or without life jackets on) in the water and let them float around.
  5. Indeed. That's why you go Friday, right? (I'm pretty sure I saw you yesterday walking in Coney Mall).

A little bit more going on than normal but everything was funny. Good job.
  7. Nicely done. You have a lot better pictures from the train than I do. I first noticed that extra clearing in the back when I was on The Beast. The train was going up the second lift hill and I looked up that random access road behind the double helix and saw some dirt, so I had to investigate.
  8. Yeah, I got to ride it for the first time this year and it was definitely a more thrilling experience. However the guy next to me exclaimed after the ride that he wouldn't ride it again because they removed all the on-ride themeing (water, lights, ice).
  9. I guess on the side opposite the path. But even as I was talking the pictures, I felt that where I was standing was ridiculous close to where the track for a splash down would come.
  10. 1st Friday, rainy and not much construction progress... 2nd Friday, rainy and some interesting work done. http://picasaweb.google.com/welchce/May9th First, I walked to the construction and was about to take some pictures when the rain started to pick up. So after a 10-15 minute wait, I stepped out and took some pictures. Guitar anyone? After the pictures, I walked around to find some open rides (most were open when I arrived at 5:45). Beast was closed for the rain. The Crypt was open but after just eating a big dinner at Wendy's I decided not to test it yet. BLSC closed for rain. Vortex... Racer... basically everything even though it stopped. Except the Eiffel Tower ;-) After the tower I rode Red Racer (amazingly smooth as everyone has said), FoF (good as ever), Beast (nice, fast, five minute wait). While waiting for The Beast I noticed there were some interesting trucks behind the Crypt. After Beast was the Crypt. The Bat looking Predator thing was pretty cool. I mean it's sitting there though. I wish before the gate opened, the creature thing's eye would turn red and smoke would emerge from it. That would've been pretty cool. As I was leaving the Crypt I noticed a new clearing back in the woods. I got on the train to try to get a picture but it came up blury. Something is definitely going on back there... just ask this guy Also, some blue pipes are sprouting up around the footers: After that I just left. Good day. Small crowds. Kind of wet but not too bad. Hope you enjoy.
  11. Does anyone know if there is still Starlight admission this season and if it is still $24.95? Right now, that's only five dollars cheaper than a regular full day pass (29.99).
  12. I believe the water in Oktoberfest is still there.
  13. Arn't the gold pass perks enough for you? Specifically the Speed Lanes and ERT's. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/events.cfm?ec_id=27 And you really only need the Speed Lanes on the weekends anyway. It's totally unnecessary on weekdays with the lack of crowds.

Love me some loopholes. But however much money they spend, I'm excited for the new ride.

Exactly, and Brown as I said in my post I believe PP had planned them then put them on hold when they split between Viacom and CBS. So basically this new thrilling attraction is going to be under $20 million?
  16. *looks for the foot in mouth smiley*
  17. Wow, I didn't even read that sentence. I just saw "how weather will affect" and skipped it. If I were him, I definitely wouldn't have said that to a reporter.
  18. Sealed the deal with that one. This seems very professional. Does this just guarantee one ride? Or as much as possible in one hour? (which SFMM hopes is one)
  19. I went to KI on weekdays last year and never had a problem with the waits. Firehawk was normally about 45 minutes to an hour, FoF and SoB about 20-30 minutes and everything else was 15 or less.
  20. Look at it this way... at least we got a laugh out of it lol You ain't kiddin' Terpy!
  21. Proper nouns anyone? How about, "and a number of 18 and older ride operators were hired"
  22. Definitely. And you can never go wrong with some on-ride audio; like hearing Steven Tyler scream bits of "Dude Looks Like a Lady" and "Love in a Roller Coaster" in your ear while going 60mph.
