  1. no. we rode it saturday and it was still very smooth imo. my brother rode it for the first time and the first thing he said he loved about it was how "smooth" it was.
  2. I think The Bat theme makes sense since KI seems to be transforming Action Zone into a year round Haunt section of the park. With Banshee and the tombstones that they are going to place down close to the Flight Deck turnaround, it seems like The Bat would be the perfect fit by flying over the fake cemetery where the two coasters will almost meet.
  3. Looks like they are getting a late delivery of supports.
  4. I think the cost is higher because the steel has gone up in the last 4-5 years, and it seems inverts require more steel than a coaster about the same length where the track rests on the supports. Just an observation.
  5. Banshee's lift hill is much steeper than Oziris' lift.
  6. great pics Kat!
  7. The area between the transfer track and the first track support before the turn left to go up the lift looks like a small area for the station to squeeze into.
  8. Yep, KD has 400 acres. It may be the biggest Cedar Fair park. That's surprising that KI hasn't expanded to 400 acres or more considering all the land that they own.
  9. So what are the largest? I know I should know this. KI is one of them according to wikipedia, Carowinds is larger than KI with 398 acres.
  10. On really busy days, it's worth every penny imo.
  11. Even though this is the first year of Fast Lane Plus, I think Fast Lane went up in price anyways from last year. I hope it doesn't go up again next year.
  12. Did KI say they are going to add these things, or are you just going off of the animation videos? I hope they do though. Listen to the interview posted by IndyGuy4KI (post #512 in this thread) Don says the gravestones will be used. Thanks, just did hear it. Don said there will be fog effects and tombstones. I thought i heard him say there may be a surprise or two as well.

  14. The Huss ride "Jump" looks fun. Also, I don't know if a water slide qualifies as a "flat ride", but i think a water coaster like the one they have at Schlitterbahn would be a great addition to Soak City.
  15. Yeah, I think we all become more insecure about being alone at public places like KI because we are super self conscience. Usually, other people waiting with you are not even wondering why you are alone. For all they know, you just broke free of your group to go on something they didn't want to ride.
  16. I've ridden Magnum and DB many times, and IMO, DB is so much better than Magnum. The "airtime" alone that DB delivers compared to Magnum is sufficient enough to be the superior of the two.
  17. I'll be your umbrella.
  18. O'Terpy! You're so silly!
  19. I wonder if they will have actual fog machines similar to the night ride POV video? That would be sweet!
  20. They are blue.
  21. The one thing that is already gone but i would love for them to bring back is The Beast watermill. That was such an aesthetically pleasing part of the ride. It added so much to look at while waiting in line and exiting the ride. It also fit perfectly to the Rivertown theme.
  22. yeah, not very comfortable. I feel all the blood going to my feet on that one.
  23. I like slingshot. I hope they don't remove it.
  24. Yeah, they are going to have to do a lot of landscaping.
  25. and a MCBR!
