Hi all, My family will be visiting Canada this summer (late July/early August) and I of course want to take advantage of what will be relatively close proximity to Canada's Wonderland. I have never been there before, so I am hoping that those who have could give me some advice. If you are one of those people, would you mind answering a few questions for me? • Are the prices on the website in CAD or USD? I'm inclined to think the former, but I want to be sure . . . • What day(s) are best to visit, and how long should I plan to stay to experience everything? • Any particular ticket purchasing recommendations, such as an After 4 ticket or advance purchase ticket? • Which rides are absolutely essential to my visit? • Any other advice or comments? FURY 325, Intimidator, and Afterburn are all quite enjoyable rides. I can't speak as to the quality of the new County Fair (my one trip this year did not include time enough to experience that part of the park) but there are some lesser-known gems as well, such as the Woodstock Gliders. The waterpark is nice, although it lacks any noticeable shade in the expansion. Bottom line: It's worth it. (But would you have expected anything else from me? )

OH NO, Carowinds must be unsafe!

This was, if I recall correctly, installed near the end of last season. It's fun to look at while waiting in line. (Although you don't really get much time to look at it, because they dispatch the trains so quickly.)

Well, I know where I'm planning to go next year. And it's not Carowinds.

He was really great for Carowinds. I think we'll all miss him down here.

I rode Carolina Cyclone this afternoon and the woman firectly in front of me could not get out after her ride (the attendants didn't notice), so she had to ride again. The shoulder harness just wouldn't go back up. Maybe it is true after all...

It looks like the same person designed Valravn's webpage as the one who designed Carolina Harbor's. I like that.

I have actually never seen or heard any ride operators do anything about this. Maybe they're more vigilant at Kings Island...

Will they ever run out of superheroes to name rides after? Mer, who very much prefers Cedar Fair's ride themes.

I have personally never been to the Land of Oz (although I was in Beech Mountain a few weeks ago), but my mom went when she was a kid. I don't think she really remembers much about it, so all I've really heard is that there were people dressed up as characters from the book and movie.

This is going to be awesome.
