I think Don and Cedar Fair are some of the best things to happen to Kings Island. This has truly been a lot of FUN!

None huh? That's a big time coincidence. Maybe it was just someone high up in the Paramount food chain operating some rides that day.

I'll never forget (circa 94) when the Eiffel Tower elevator operator told me that they were going to build a huge wooden coaster back by Top Gun. They didn't have any details as to name, height, etc., so naturally at the time I thought it sounded ridiculous. It ended up being true when Son of Beast was announced in 1999. That was the one and only time I can recall a KI employee giving me accurate info. regarding a future coaster being built at the park. What was even more interesting is KI must have been planning this at least 5 yrs. in advance.

Also, is there really enough space around the station area for a lift that would be above 170ft? I believe there is plenty of space.

i wouldn't risk it. I would say KI will probably have multiple webcams on the construction site anyways, and they will have construction updates.

I am simply saying that considering the dense population of LA compared to Cincy, KI holds their own with the "big boys" and still beats them in attendance. I think one of the reasons for this is because KI plans their rides better instead of just throwing one up every other year like SFMM does. Yes, I do believe they (six flags) has more money than Cedar Fair, which is all the more reason i am impressed with KI's attendance.

SFMM is a great park, but i don't think they put enough thought into their coasters. They seem to put them together as quick as possible just to get another one up. It's more quantity over quality with them. Where KI on the other hand takes longer to plan and design it's coasters to the terrain etc. I think this is why KI has 2 bonafide top ten coasters with The Beast and Diamondback and SFMM has none.

nice call. that is only 147 ft tall and has 6 inversions. the possibilities for KI's are endless.

I agree. if these plans are legit, It definitely is a spoiler. I wish KI could have kept these plans under wraps for another week. Having said that, let's not forget that we still don't know the details of this ride. height, speed, inversion elements, and length are all still in decode mode.

Let's not forget that most b&m inverts start out in the station already elevated 10-20 ft. high.

I think it's safe to say this thing does look huge. Judging by the prints, the lift hill goes all the way out over to the old king cobra footings and turns and drops. It seems they are utilizing every foot of the lift area to gain as much height possible. It is possible that this ride will break every inverted record! I doubt it though.

How can you tell just from video? If you look at the board it was on and then do some rough geometry calculations you find the length of track drawn the cobvert by ysing the scale if it beats the record of 4100 i'll be happy.

I hope it is the longest too! There are a lot of long stretches of track that are hard to decode.

I think this will be the highest and fastest inverted. I doubt it will be the longest.
