new flat ride at KI
I don't know... Kings Island really has enough Thrill Rides. I could really go for a collection of family- oriented flats, Antique Cars, or the new MegaWhip

CF or Paramount
Cedar Fair has not had ownership of Kings Island for a long enough time, for us to really evaluate the company's "success." And then, the success of a company can hardly be measured by the quality of new attractions... In my opinion, no one had done a better job running Kings Island than KECO.

"Python"... No more Pepsi?
My parents decided we would not get a family pass, since we're going to California, later this summer. I've never been to the western United States, so this is a big thing. Oh, and we're going to Six Flags Magic Mountain and one or two other parks. I'm almost certain I'll be working at Coney next summer, so I'll most certainly have a pass. ___________________ My friend, (thejoker34 on KICentral.) Insists that the Pepsi logo is now gone. Today was not his first trip to Coney this season, and he reports today as the first day the sign is missing.

Rock Band Live Coming to Kings Island (Confirmed)
If Rock Band Live is as popular as it sounds to be, methinks the show will become permanent for next season. So many teenagers love Rock Band...

"Python"... No more Pepsi?
I'm wondering wether or not anyone has the proof... I'm not a member of Coney anymore, so I haven't visited since last season. Edit= The Coney website still has "Pepsi." http://www.coneyisla....com/python.php Then again, in the loading spiel it has always just been "The Python."

"Python"... No more Pepsi?
My friend just got home from Coney Island, and he says the Pepsi part of Python's sign is gone... Can this be true? Is the name changed? I find this disappointing. Pepsi Python was one of the few rides in the world with a Pepsi endorsement... Only 6, one of which is very famous. Python is much more generic of a name. I've always imagined a backstory for Pepsi Python. You enter an expedition vehicle and journey to a rich treasure trove full of delicious Pepsi Cola. This Cola is very hard to get, as a giant venomous snake guards the treasure, and this snake is not willing to give up his yummy cola...

Kentucky Kingdom: The Rides?
I would think this would be the best decision, but I can not recall Six Flags ever moving a flat ride from one park to another. Do you all really think Six Flags will start now? I'm thinking most of the rides will either be auctioned, or get dismantled. The only roller coasters I see getting relocated are Roller Skater, Road Runner Express, and Greezed Lightnin'... Maybe T2. (Though I'm not confident with this one.)

Son of Beast Overhaul Poll
^ The thing is, they don't know how any of these renovations will turn out. If Son of Beast does not improve, or even gets worse, that'll be $10-15 million wasted.

Carnival Games
Heres the Jacob's Ladder win right here. Would KI's Rebound any different? KI's has a line you can't pass with your hands...
-
Carnival Games
I've been wondering how to win that game. Thank you!!!

Kentucky Kingdom: The Rides?
So what do you believe will happen to the park and/or the rides? Are there any particular rides you think would be great for Kings Island, or any other park?

Beach Waterpark Interactive Map
To progress... Has anyone been to the Beach recently, and seen construction?

Boo Blasters on Boo Hill
Most people who were angry about Scooby leaving were angry about losing "a part of KI's history", not about losing Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle. I'd say most people welcomed the SDATHC change... Though many were worried Cedar Fair would just close the attraction, for good. You know, there must be a better way to fix this problem. The most common fixes are horrible. Chicken wire, glass, crazy new park policies...

Rock Band Live Coming to Kings Island (Confirmed)
^^ Full trip report?

Beach Waterpark Fire
I just hope the Wyandot Lake slides had not been moved there. Glad to hear no one was hurt.

Attendance record
Originally, most of Kings Island's rides were compatible for the whole family. This continued until KECO sold the park. The next owner went ahead and removed most of these. I wouldn't be so sure of that. Some say, had Mr. Linder not taken control of the park, Kings Island would of grown into "The Universal of the Midwest." They certainly had the means of doing so. Currently, Kings Island is seen by most of the population as a Thrill Park. Have you ever seen a Thrill Park grow into an entire complex? The money has always lied within the families... Even the teenagers who come to Kings Island get the money they use from their parents. YES! Dark Rides have all the potential in bringing in families... See Disney World. MOST of their rides are Dark Rides, and how are they doing?

How do you win Rebound?
^ I gave them my money, and THEN they told me about the sticks on the top and bottom that you cannot knock over. Utterly destroying my game...

Holiday World... New Coaster?
Does Holiday World's Christmas section even have room for a roller coaster? I, at least, have always imagined it surrounded by the other sections. See KI's International Street... Edit= Dbfan, I believe you've found something. Some sort of addition, for sure.

Beach Waterpark Interactive Map
I'm sure "Under Construction" was referring to the Interactive Park Map.

Holiday World... New Coaster?
^ I agree with you there! A more family friendly version of Fisherman's Ghost mine would be wonderful. (#99) Here's me to dreaming Holiday World decides to recreate Coney Island Cincinnati's Sky Rocket. From photographs, this ride appears to have been packed with air time and G's. Too bad RCDB doesn't have any pictures of it...

Holiday World... New Coaster?
Holiday World has had a new coaster addition roughly every 5 years, since The Raven. 1995- The Raven 1999- The Howler 2000- The Legend 2006- The Voyage (1) Do you think Holiday World might be getting a new coaster addition very soon? and if so, (2) What kind do you think it will be?, (3) and could you imagine a whole new park section, as was included with Voyage?

Adventure Express Discussion
I finally had a chance to ride Adventure Express this year, and the whole ride was much improved. The guy at the end actually poured 'lava', his eyes flashing red and blue. (I'm not certain, but it appeared drops of water were falling from the vat, as it tilted.) The lava vat sparkled red and orange. All the stone figures worked. The lighting in the third tunnel was really cool looking, but not extensive enough to appear like a volcano. ____________________________________ Seems like Cedar Fair stepped in and fixed a whole lot. Methinks some of the managers might have come across this topic?

How do you win Rebound?
Have any of you beat Rebound at Kings Island's Coney Mall? If so, how did you do it? Rebound is the midway game in which you try to bounce the ball off an angled wall, and into a basket.

Attendance record
^ Thanks! The 1980s owners always have me confused... How did Viacom come into all of this?

Attendance record
Yes, but Thrill Rides are also more fun! Edit: Also if Cedar Fair or Six Flags just started making family rides, they could be in danger of losing Thrill Ride customers for not providing what they want, and Family Ride customers might not come due to their reputation as a non family ride park. Before 1985, Kings Island was a family park. Paramount bought the park and started removing all the family rides. Around 10, the first 3 years... The number of people going to Kings Island has been down ever since. And they don't need to remove thrill rides to add family rides. Look at all that space on the far end of Coney Mall. I'm sure they could fit at least 6 family attractions back there! I personally think Kings Island has, yes, too many Thrill Rides. (At least for the park's current size...)
