Actually that ride ops at Drop Tower are correct. A gyro drop is when you spin on the way up the tower. Kings Dominion's Drop Tower does not spin on its way up as seen here in this video. I gota stand up for all my old crew members which happen to be on those two crews.

I hate when friends enter the single rider line together and are placed in rows but then end up riding with each other. I Have seen a lot of them get caught but some get away.

I have never seen as much spitting in my life when I went to Cedar Point last week. My first night I went to the park I went to Maverick first and after a while of waiting I got to wait around the little pond and tons of people were spitting into the pond. When I finally got to the part that was above the water all you could see was spit! I saw people spitting everywhere and smoking everywhere. Other than that I had a blast! I think the thing that annoys me worst at Kings Island is the awful smell of sewage in different places throughout the park. Over by Delirium by the smoking area, walking underneath The Racer back to X-Base. There are various places where the smell is just disgusting.

I have heard great things about the system at Universal Orlando. I forget what it is called but we are willing to pay because we are only going to be able to spend one day for both of the parks.

Someone with a family might yell at a park with B&Ms. Big Bad Wolf is the only big coaster you could be 42 inches to ride if I am reading the height chart right on the Busch Gardens site. Parents want their kids to ride and have fun too. Grover's Alpine Express is the only other coaster children can ride with their parents if they are at least 38 inches and some kids might be looking for a little bit more thrills. Look how many coasters Kings Island offers for families to ride together.

Doesn't B&M fill their tracks with sand? Is it possible that the weather or something else has had an effect on thew sand?

^I just noticed how loud the roar was today! I got back from Cedar Point last night and loved how you could hear Mantis and Raptor from so far away. I was working today and as I walked back on break I really noticed how loud it was. I thought it was because of my trip to Cedar Point and hearing the other B&Ms there but maybe not.

Aw that must have really been a bummer when you saw the sign saying Ka was closed. I just rode TTD for the first time yesterday and was glad I got to compare the two tallest coasters in the world. Maybe next time. And I agree, El Toro is absolutely amazing. I'm still tying to figure out if El Toro or Maverick takes the spot for number one over all on my list. Great PTR. Thanks for posting. Now I just have to get my Cedar Point pictures up before I forget the whole trip!

There was an awesome ride op at Wicked Twister Wednesday night. He was saying the most random things and it was hilarious. "Welcome to Wicked Twister. Please secure all lose articles including hats, cell phone, keys, glasses, and easy bake ovens." I also enjoyed, "Welcome back Wal Mart shoppers how was your ride!" He also asked a train who wanted to launch backwards and everyone screamed yes. He said ok and counted down the launch and of course it launched forwards.

This is so sad! Yet another Arrow Suspended coaster going away. This coaster was so great. Back seat on that last plunge down to the water was so great. This will be missed so much. Arrow is one of my favorite manufacturers, this is some sad news.

I just got back to the hotel after my first ever ride on Millennium Force. I rode in the front seas at about 9:00 PM. I was so pumped and the first hill was so amazing. The speed around the overbanked turn was awesome and the ride was just great until we got out of the first tunnel. Boom! Tons of little spikes hit my face. I disregarded it until we got to the bottom of the first cammelback and I was hit again. The little needles hurt so bad I had to close my eyes. I thought it was water for a couple seconds when I was wiping stuff off my face. I finally realized these needles were bugs. The turn around over the line was even swarmed with bugs. We rolled back into the unload station and the women next to me was covered. Her white sweater had tons of bugs on it and I could just imagine what my face looked like because she had hers covered. Well I just got out of the shower and I washed tons of bugs off my face and hair. It was an amazing ride but the after effects kinda sucked. Anyone else have this experience at Cedar Point?

Thank you for posting! I am leaving tomorrow and now we can get a ticket for my brother for just 34.99! Hopefully the iffy weather will keep that crowds away.

Ok Main Entrance it is! I'm thinking about Maverick for the first ride though. Thoughts? Oh and my parents will just be dropping my brother and I off at the park. Is there a drop off/pick up area like at KI where you do not need to go through the parking tolls. I have free parking with my ID but for picking up purposes.

^Ummmmm that is kinda what I am asking you guys for? I don't know seeing that it has been years since I have been to the park. Is one better than the other?

I will be leaving for Cedar Point tomorrow morning and probably going to the park at night and then all day Thursday for sure. Yes, I know the forecast but that's not stopping us. I have not been to the park in 10 years so I am coming to you guys for help. My question is, what entrance is best to use? I know there is a marina entrance and the main gate but I am unsure of how to get to either one and who is allowed to enter these gates. I have my employee ID but my brother will have to buy a ticket. I hope that helps and help form you would be much appreciated.

Firehawk shirts are also on sale for $5 That's what I was going to say. I for one do not see Son of Beast leaving. That is my opinion so don't hammer me on it. However, I do see Crypt leaving. If you have to tone down a ride because it is breaking itself and the ride still has poor reliability then why keep it. May it RIP (Rust in Pieces)

I believe you mean to say, If you have a KI Gold Pass you can upgrade it. The price of the new pass will be the price of what you paid for it subtracted from $160. I am also headed up there this week. I leave tomorrow morning, might go into the park tomorrow night but staying the whole day Thursday. I havn't been for 10 years and I still have 4 credits waiting for me up there. It will bring my coaster count to 99!

From the webcam it looks like they want to open the ride but they can't for some reason. All of the trains are on the track and there is a line forming outside starting underneath the sign.

A girl at the Shake Rattle Roll crew today was having us play simon says while on the ride and was pretty enthusiastic. I had a lot of fun.

15 year olds do not work the Haunt. They work HOWL-O-FEST which is during the day before the Haunt starts. They cannot work that late because of the minor labor laws.

I also noticed the metal detection process becoming a lot faster. I think they did change the strength of the detection or something. The AE crew really was disappointing on Friday night. They were very slow and used words they shouldn't be using in front of guests and just didn't seem to be in a very good mood overall.

Finally someone that agrees with me! There is a reason it had a 15 minute wait today.
