Future of Planet Snoopy
I tried to find a relevant Planet Snoopy topic to discuss this in but couldn't find anything. Thought I'd start a new topic on it. So next year will mark ten years since the retheme of Nick U to Planet Snoopy. The last major expansion of the area was in 2005/2006 when Nick Central became Nick Universe. I recall them recently (2017?) removing the water-walkthrough attraction and replacing it with the flyers. I can't remember if anything else has been added since 2010. With Carowinds upgrading to Camp Snoopy in 2018, do you believe Camp Snoopy will come to KI? Currently Knotts, CP and Carowinds have Camp Snoopy. I've read that KI has the best kids area, but I think it's due for something new sometime soon. If you do believe Camp Snoopy will come to KI, what do you predict they will add? I'd love to see something done with Boo Blasters. Anything really, retheme it to snoopy, clean it up, SOMETHING. Maybe a couple new rides, possibly to replace some of the older ones? A playground of some sort like Camp Jurassic at Islands of Adventure would be cool. General sprucing up of the area.

The Giga Speculation Thread
I REALLY want to know why you think that. You keep talking poorly about it but no explanation. What could possibly be boring about it?

Orion or Polaris?
This has been nitpicked to death in the Decoding 2020 topic. Check it out if you want to see what the true stats are most likely going to be!

International street makeover
Wow, okay, so the fountains were definitely added for night time shows. It looks amazing. They may not be so great during the day but they look amazing at night. Happen to know if there will be anything else added?

The Giga Speculation Thread
We’re saying it’s a giga.

International street makeover
It's actually really growing on me now. I was definitely very grumpy about the change, but seeing the night time photos really impresses me. They may not be so grand during the day, but they are spectacular at night. There are many ways that they could have done things better/differently, but I don't think their budget allowed for anything more than what we got.

This part looks AMAZING. Can't believe more people aren't talking about it! I cannot wait to ride this. Watching Leviathan's POV, I think this will be a better ride. Compared to Fury, not so much. It also seems to have the same ride time from drop to break run as Levi, and 5-8 seconds shorter than Fury. I am excited!

The Giga Speculation Thread
There’s nothing wrong with criticism, but you didn’t criticize it. You simply stated that it was a Kmart/goodwill coaster, disappointing, boring, and junk. Why not actually elaborate on why you think that? Explain why you think Leviathan is better? It’s just really annoying to see everyone attack the ride without giving any actual reason for doing so.

The Giga Speculation Thread
Dude, get over yourself and move on. It’s not a Kmart/goodwill coaster. Compare it to Leviathan. You really think Levi is better than this one? Sheesh. Just go to the other parks and stop complaining about this one.

WOW. That second drop looks AMAZING. That turn around is sick. I cannot wait to see the POV. This coaster is going to rock.

Haha, guess I expected too much out of them! I’m not trying to say the entrance is terrible at all. Maybe there should be a thread dedicated to just fountain talk. They did a great job with the I-street buildings and pavers. I’m hoping they redo the entrance building facade at some point.

Which Giga name will be coming to Kings Island
Me too! I think it’s better than Orion for a coaster. I get a more space-vibe from Polaris.

International street makeover
What I am getting at here is that I expected something equally as nice as to replace what was once there. I personally don't find the jumping fountains to be very, uh, classy? or pretty? For lack of a better word. The best example I can think of to express my feelings towards them is when a beautiful 1800s era Victorian house is torn down and replaced with a house made of vinyl (big fan of architecture and design!). The newer home might be new and nice, but the older victorian home was gorgeous and had charm, Hopefully that makes sense haha. I will stop commenting on them now, it's not really getting us anywhere, is it? :p

This is a great blog post. Thank you for sharing!

International street makeover
I just expected a lot more out of them, and they still aren’t working right. To each their own! Please note that I don’t hate KI! I love it and I want it to be the best park that it can be. I have always absolutely loved the entrance fountains and thought of them to be spectacular, but now I find them lacking. That’s all! Still my favorite park

I agree. The whole fountain renovation just seems messed up. They tried. I definitely did not expect something like this out of Cedar Fair.

Ohhhh, I see that now! Thank you. I definitely thought it was just a straight section into that hill. Can't wait to see that POV! I am super stoked for this coaster, it looks awesome and like it will pack a punch.

I only shorten it to that because everyone else does haha. I am talking about the part I circled here: I was going to do that but didn't want to post three pics at once. Oh well, I just hate seeing huge pictures in one post on a forum haha.

Layouts for Levi and Fury, just to make comparisons to the layout @DustinTheNow posted. Source Source I HATE that straight section of track right after the turnaround. Seems like wasted potential. BUT I actually think I like our gigas layout over levi and Fury. I like the tall hills, the turnaround is massive, and that helix/whatever that feature near the end is called looks awesome and intense, which Levi lacks something like that and Fury has something similar, but not quite. Don't be so quick to judge based off of length alone, and definitely not over lift hill height. Personally, I find Levi's layout looks incredibly boring and uninspired. Sure, it might be more twisty, but ours looks better to me.

Has anyone pointed out the "new prop building" in the queue line? Would this be a themed room, like a smaller FoF room?

Decoding 2020
Okay, there aren't that many posts telling people to be grateful and that they can't be disappointed. We get it everyone. All of us are entitled to our own opinion and you can excited, disappointed, whatever you feel. If I have to read another paragraph defending peoples disappointment...

Decoding 2020
I tried to find other B&M CAD layouts, but those are not easy to come by. Here are a few coaster layouts that I found online, just to compare to the leaked one that we have seen. Son of Beast: Image Source Shambhala (in green -- not sure what the red coaster is) - PortAventura Image Source Copperhead Strike - Carowinds: Image Source Obviously, the most similar one here is Shambahala, since it is a B&M Hyper. This makes me believe that the leak is real. The CAD design is basically the same for the two coasters. The most notable differences that I see are: the chain lift section doesn't look like the Shambhalas drawing and the layout is colored. This makes me believe the leaked plan is meant for the station construction, evidenced by its colored features, which are not present anywhere else except for the access roads. Another thing to note is the length of each portion. KI's leaked layout is much more stretched out when comparing it to Shambhala's layout, and the length of that ride is 5,131'. Also, I apologize for posting three large pictures, but I thought it'd be a good way to show how different a coasters layout plan can look.

Has anyone thought that the name of the coaster will be Project X? lol
