  1. Does that quote feel really half-assed to anyone else? It just feels like they're saying this is your only option, so too bad.
  2. Wow, that's quite sad, good on the financial side of things though.
  3. Yes, looking at the construction it is all but confirmed that the lake is returning.
  4. I actually severely slowed my soda consumption so I don't buy much at KI. I always have to keep in mind that it actually doesn't hydrate me. That helps me to not buy soda at KI. Even though a Coke in Festhaus' AC would be nice. I still pay an arm and a leg for a bottle of water. Which is pretty stupid considering I could get a free water.
  5. I agree with both. I really hope they play up the coaster and heavily theme it. It would be wonderful if the log flume became a Rivertown themed ride. You know, like a LOG mill.
  6. I know what you're saying. HB characters are enduring. These Nick shows come and go far too much. Edit 2: I'm actually sitting here watching the Jetsons. Oh HB is the best. I remember Rivertown being busy back in the mid 90's (about as far as I can remember). It was such a great area of the park. It still is but it doesn't have anywhere near its former glory. Edit: 500th post!
  7. Yeah, the Wild Thornberries was more from my era. I recognize all the characters and I understand their placement. If those kids grew up with the show they would too. That's why the newer-themed Nick rides are more successful. I know a few of them but nowhere near as well as I do my era of shows and the HB characters and rides (even though they predate me several decades). I personally prefer the mine theming of Rivertown. I'm sad that it isn't that extensive any more. Especially with The Crypt there and the lack of attractions (the buildings that haven't been inhabited for awhile). That was always what made Rivertown my favorite area, the heavy theming and the feeling of leaving the modern world.
  8. That can be extremely limiting to your creativity. That's why I ditched iMovie. Now I have 99 layers on each audio and video. I've never actually played with Pinnacle either. I had a copy but never used it. Hm, I don't remember why. Odd...
  9. Really, Final Cut isn't anything special in the special effects area. It's more of an editor meant to be followed by a program like After Effects, at that it excels. Green screen is a bit of a pain, I would imagine it's better in AE. I would say the two coupled would be quite awesome. That or Final Cut and Apple Shake.

Wow, that's really cool! Not the explosion, but that you were there. And Interp., the cranes! Oh God, the cranes.
  11. I've never really played with After Effects but I do know it's a nice program. If I didn't use Final Cut I would jump on AE.

I see you're from Richmond. I'm not far from there! Sweet, you're from Connersville, I know where you're at. I go to Northeastern if you know where it is.
  13. Glad to help! It's a pretty cool system called an anti-rollback device. If you're bored Google it sometime. Pretty nifty.

Yeah, good point. Although, it's only a 600 person school. So you know, not too terrible.

School just ended for me today. I'm now officially a senior! Anyway, tomorrow is my school band's ritual trip to KI. The fun thing about it is not only does the band go but nearly everyone does too. So essentially, half of my school (really isn't saying much) is going to be there tomorrow, including myself. Anyone else going?
  16. Ive said that before , when The Son of Beast incident happened I was there, and said I wouldnt ride it again because so many people were hurt... Waited an hour the first day it opened back up to ride I guess it scares people when something goes wrong on a ride. I know it would have scared me. I always get a little queasy on Flight Deck anyway because of the noises it makes on the hill LOL!! If it helps, those noises actually mean you're safer.
  17. I know what you guys are talking about. I'm 17 but act more like I'm in my 20's. My parents were raised in the "old" style and raised me in the "old" style. They weren't afraid to use "the hand" when the situation called for it. Of course back then I hated it, but now that I reflect I'm glad they did that and not the new "don't touch your kids" method of parenting. I really think they did a lot of things right. Sure they did things wrong, I was their first and only but I think the good far outweighs the bad. I'm planning on parenting mostly the same as I was raised. It worked so well for me, that I can only hope it will work out for my kid(s). I never intend to be a violent or a loud parent. I just want to instill my kid with values, common sense, and common courtesy (if it still exists). Edit: wow, that was weird. I zoned. I didn't even realized I had just posted in this topic. Duh, time for bed.
  18. Interp, please reveal to us what you do. I'm interested.

Excellent, man! Always makes me smile. And keep your head up, things will work out.
  20. When exactly did Redneck become an appropriate slur? How else do you describe a man who is wearing a tank top that used to be white (I will not describe it in a manner that may be a slur against those who engage in domestic violence ), covered in tattoos and who looks as though he hasn't bathed for a considerable period of time? Ooh, hobo, hobo!!
  21. Na, that never happens.
  22. Mmm, fascism much? I think it's great that they're trying to get the parents to try to disconnect with the office and connect with their children but I would be darned if I were to be made to leave my iPhone. I think in the end it's a personal choice that should strongly be encouraged but not enforced. That's just going a little too far.
  23. The smoking thing is pretty annoying. I don't mind smoke at all but I get tired of the disrespectful smokers. I was on the railroad today and someone was smoking the whole time, even during the no smoking announcement.
