New coaster name hints
Wasn't Diamondback a possibility? I thought I heard it somewhere.

MYSTERY NO MORE--KI BUILDING HYPERCOASTER
That's kind of sad when I think back to when it opened. I remember it used to be completely filled with up to a three hour wait. Now, it's a three minute wait.

MYSTERY NO MORE--KI BUILDING HYPERCOASTER
Mustang seems really plausible to me but I could be completely off base. Ryan, a confirmation perhaps?

At least it's not $4 a gallon ... yet :)
That is good news. I just hope it lasts and keeps decreasing.

Sick Children Get Break From Daily Troubles At Kings Island
Heartwarming. It's nice to read a positive article in the modern news. It's great that children with illnesses can enjoy time at the park without having to worry about stares and large crowds to get lost in.

New Coaster at Carowinds
If I remember correctly one of them do make lap bar trains. Give me 5mins to get you the link http://www.rcdb.com/ig1093.htm?picture=21 Those bars look remarkably uncomfortable. Padding certainly would be nice.

Taft park placement
I would say it's all a coincidence. I doubt Taft went around looking for a place with a house and a cemetery. I would assume, though, that they were looking for locations right off an interstate.

New Coaster at Carowinds
A simple question would suffice.

Possibility for Next KI Event
You make a good point Terpy. But I was thinking, that tower is way too dangerous. I think it need a few fences and a sign every three inches saying "Extreme Danger." That should allow us to have this kind of entertainment, without other people attempting it. Because as we all know, no one crosses a fence which says Extreme Danger. No one.

Here are the pictures: Great pictures Kelli, looking forward to more.

Photo TR: A pleasant and unexpected visit.
Great photos! I really liked the panorama. The Vortex picture was quite nice too. Great job!

Congratulations on making it! I'm rather impressed at your record breaking trip to the airport. I'm even more amazed that you made it through security in such a time. You can email me all your photos and I'll host them for you. chasewebb{at}{mac}{dot}{com}

Parking lot trash
I'm stunned by the sheer volume of people who just think they can throw their trash anywhere. Not only at KI, but anywhere. Why is it okay to flick your cigarette out the window of your car? Why is it okay to toss your "literocola" on the ground before you get in your car to leave the park? How can one possibly justify tossing trash anywhere but it's designated area? I've heard a few lame justifications, "It's convenient" or "Who cares? I'm not going to be here in 100 years." Ugh.

Photos from the 4th of July and Fireworks
I can't freaking believe I didn't see the Clown Band. Rick's beer belly made me chuckle a little. Probably more the American flag belly shirt than anything. I was on pins and needles watching this, especially when he was going up the incline at either end of the rope. I would always cringe a bit when ever he would wobble and say "STEADY ON THE ROPE!" It was quite a nice day, really. The rain and prospect of a large crowd helped to keep the lines short and the masses under control. I finally got to ride The Crypt since it's become The Crypt. I sat in the back row both times and it was quite amazing. I'm very impressed with the ride itself. The scenery, on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. I was really excited by the teaser signs on the construction area fence. I really hope they play this ride's hype up to its full potential.

Death at SFOG
^ Well of course! Those two words in large font, multiplied across the whole SIX FOOT FENCE would definitely have kept him out.

The beast at night
No kidding! I nearly froze to death on Bare Bones night, but it was worth it. Multiple night ride with no line.

Shoes at the waterpark
Ah, so you'll especially want shoes. Man, the days I've spend burning my feet. That and the rugged texture of the concrete mutilated my feet.

BLSC water spray
But I wouldn't think there would be much damage at all. The train barely, if at all, gets wet.
