Water ride question
Nothing's changed at all. You still have to leave all your stuff vulnerable at the station and let your shoes get soaked.

just curious
I think a museum similar to Cedar Point would be quite interesting. I would love to see all the "nostalgia" in one central location.

Opinions and Suggestions?
I think for Wings it's a flat $15. Someone correct me if I'm wrong though. Keep in mind those swim shorts have that annoying net in them, without saying too much, you guys might be unhappy campers by the end of the day. Have a great time! And welcome to KIC!

CedarPoint.com remodel
I like it, it feels clean. The blue seemed to weigh things down. Perhaps they could slim the footprint a bit though. The background image alone is 92 K, doesn't seem like a lot but on a 56K (yes they still exist) modem it would make a difference. Also I think the Flash image rotator should be trashed for a smaller Java image rotator. But that's just my humble opinion.

So I was eating while I was watching that and about the time he stuck his tongue out with the remnants I ran into a crunchy onion. Ugh.

Death at SFOG
That's not very good PR for the park. I'm not completely sure if I feel bad for the victim though, he DID jump the fence.

King Cobra Fatality Rumor
No one was killed on King Cobra. However, someone WAS killed on a TOGO standup at a park which I don't remember the name of. Edit: Kings Dominion, thanks King Maple.

Halloween Haunt ideas
I love it. I've seen many park guests who would fit nicely into that form of entertainment... Now my idea. Since there are "no limits" and celebrity tragedies are fair game, I would suggest a crashed airplane and a few bodies in the Swan Lake area together with a new sign: Coming in 2009....... A ride that will take you high into the air.... You will experience eratic manuevers; dips, dives, loops, circles.... Before ending with a giant SPLASHDOWN!!!!!!! In 2009, you will experience....."JFK, Jr.: The Ride" That is hilarious! Epic win!

Kings Island, The Beach To Fight Tax
Like RZ said, in concept it's not that bad. I just think they could wait for a more economically friendly time. Now is the absolute worst time to try to impose taxes on a tourist-based destination.

Okay I need help with this
What happened if you don't mind me asking? Well in summer of 1999 just before I had turned 9 My family went to Kings Island for 4th of July. And at the time I really wanted to get big coasters because I had never before. So after being Hanna Barbara and I got bored I guess and wanted to try to something else so.. My Mama told me about the legendry Beast I so I naively ran in line not knowing what to expect. So when I can time to get in the seats Mama started to get a little worried because I was very tiny for my age. She pushed the lap bar all the way down and I still had alot of space left between me and the lapbar. But I didn't care I still wanted to ride. So it took off and I was excited and a little nervous but anyways when it went down I was in the shock off my life. I realized then this wasn't like some kiddie coaster. My Mama had to put her arm over me to keep me from falling out of the seat. I guess the G-forces got to me or something because I felt horrible, like my body was being crushed or something. After the first tunnel I screamed, hollered and cried through the rest of the thing. "Stop the ride" and "Let me off" are the only things I remember saying. Then it went to the second lift and I thought the coaster was repeating it's self which made me even more upset. After the ride was over I hoped out of the car and ran off crying to my Granny. The picture came back and it was so embarrassing. The top half of my body was bented over the the lapbar to my knees. And after that I've always been traumatized and apprehensive about rollercoasters. Or really any ride. I even had a fit getting on The Beastie. But it's not like that now with some rides. So that's my story hope it wasn't to long. But now I want to try again with The Beast or as they say tame The Beast or something. Wow, that can be quite traumatizing for a younger girl. It can definitely ruin your views on all roller coasters. I'm glad you're giving it another shot. This time you'll be just fine. Have fun!

Wow. First, thank you for thinking of this site! Second, that really sucks about the cases. It's like you were doing something good because you just loved the place but you end up getting kicked in the teeth. I'm sorry. So when is this trial?

Totally go for it. Look at it this way, you aren't going to get hurt, especially not by the first hill. Just think about something to take your mind off the drop. It's over before you know it. Then you'll be off through the woods having fun.
