SHIREKshow: Best of FearFest 2005
Hey all, sorry about the downtime on my site...I had an issue and needed to change some stuff around... I've put up a basic page with links to download the files. Will add more info and edit the page to be a bit more user-friendly when I get back from vacation on the 30th. Here's the new link: http://www.showbizcentral.net/node/1 Sorry for the downtime.

Fearfest Oct 22
Hey ! I saw you walking through Coney on Saturday and tried to say hi, but you didn't hear me. I assume you were probably on break, as you had a sack of something (food?) and were walking away from Vortex. One of these days...I'll actually get to say hi to a PKICer

Fearfest Oct 22
I'll be about 9 hours north of Tampa, in the Panhandle. Panama City Beach, to be exact. No SheiKra for me

Fearfest Oct 22
I'd love to go... ...but I'll be in Florida. (I'd much rather be at PKI, though. Sad, isn't it?) Trade places?

POV Vidoes
Play nice, skanks.

POV Vidoes
Ohhh...the name-calling begins!! Admiral...let's see those POVs! I'd love to see Delirium, Drop Zone, IJ, and Vortex the most. (gee, that list grew to more rides than I had originally planned) I've got the webspace if you need somewhere to host them...stay far, far away from Rapidshare!
-
What rides are closed now?
Perhaps the shorter cycle on Delirium is simply to help keep the ride up and running to finish out the season, without stressing any parts that are causing problems. If that's the case, we can hope that after some off-season rehab, our beloved frisbee will be in full swing next spring. *crosses fingers*

10/15/05 Visit - Awesome Visit
My Lord, the park was busy today! One of my worst trips. Spent 45 min. in line for Drop Zone, 45 for Delirium, 1 hr for Beast, about 20-30 minutes for Vortex!, 20 minutes for Racer, 45min-1hr for Face/Off, 45 for Tomb Raider, and 20 minutes in line for PsychoPath (which happend to be the only haunt we could fit in) Now, I expected longer lines on a Saturday...a nice one, at that. I've just always been spoiled with short lines, with my Tuesday visits all summer. I just wish I could've gotten more haunts in, as today was my only available day I could visit FearFest this year. side note: BAD experience at Happy Days Diner today. Usually have great, fast, friendly service...today, quite the opposite. Surprisingly enough, the Diner only had two or three people in each of the four open lines...otherwise I'd attribute the sub-par service to being busy.

Sat or FRI
Who's planning on being at the park tomorrow (the 15th), either visiting or working? I'll keep an eye out and say hi

Sat or FRI
Sadly, five of my friends and I will be going to the park tomorrow. Looks like good, warm weather...and long, long lines

*Attention* If you're tired of using Rapidshare to download the videos, feel free to download them from my site. I've decided to host the files for RingMaster. Price to renew
I can't seem to find any emails from PKI about pricing for renewing my gold pass. Does anybody know the renewal cost? I know the cost of a new one is currently $89, but I was thiking renewals were five or ten dollars less.

What rides are closed now?
So, is Delirium broken again?

Fearfest ad
The off-season is upon us.
-
Fearfest ad
...and on the Railroad's description, it says: Families love riding in this steam locomotive that travels through the woods and takes riders to WaterWorks and back to the Losantiville Station.
-
Fearfest ad
On the first fearfest ad that loads in the flash movie on pki.com, near the end some music is playing in the background. Sounds familiar...almost like, *gasp* Tomb Raider. Caught red-handed! I love that little tune. Woah, update. Looks like they've slightly updated the Rides/Attraction pages on the site.

Campground not for 2006
That's what I was saying...it took them a long while to finalize things and get the ball rolling w/ construction.
-
Campground not for 2006
It's too bad you base your decision on something this trivial. The park has stated that they want to get the campground back, newer and better. Part of the reason they probably aren't doing the campground next year is due to Great Wolf taking their time finalizing plans for the resort. Jeff stated at one of the IJ construction tours earlier this year that they were still waiting on things to be finalized with the resort...It took Great Wolf 'til May to finally officially announce things and get the ball rolling with PKI. Can't place the blame entirely on the park, as this resort is a joint venture. Just keep in mind this is something trivial...there are pleanty of lodging destinations around the park, even camping. If you are so unflexible with the park and their expansion plans, you're going to have a tough time in life when other things require some flexibility. Anyway, have fun next year with the long lines at Cedar Point, and the long trips down to Disney.

2006 Season Pass
Woah! I hate to get off topic here, but Fearfest isn't going on the 5th of November!??!? Crap, I was planning on taking some friends with me that weekend.
-
2006 Season Pass
I'm not sure about the $67.99, but on the PKI Season Pass order page, they have the 4-pack for $69.99. Here's a link for ya: http://www.pki.com/shop/shopping_season_pass.cfm

Fearfest Preview!
Great pictures! Thanks for the update!!! I'll hopefully be visiting Fearfest for the first time ever on the 8th, 15th, and Nov. 5th...at LEAST one of those days, hopefully all. Looking forward to it every passing day. (Wish I could've made it down for the video shoot today. I was scheduled to be there, and those last-minute changes kinda through me for a loop, and I didn't get my oil changed for the long drive.)

What parks have you been to?
Not too many, myself. I just became the coaster-enthousiast I am today, last summer. SFKK, Indiana Beach, Old Indiana (was there, like the week before the train incident), Disney World, and PKI. I am for sure going to be adding Cedar Point and Holiday World next year...and maybe GAdv and Dorney, if I'm lucky. (If I do go out east, I'm going to try and hit up PKD as well)
-
SFGADV INTAMIN WOODIE!
Maybe this is a good thing that they're putting all of the money into GAdv. Each year, something else will go into GAdv, and another Six Flags park somewhere else will die off. Eventually, only Great Adventure will be left, and then Six Flags can try to keep their ADD-selves occupied on one park, rather than the hundreds they have scattered around right now. Remember: Every time a new ride goes into GAdv, God kills another Six Flags park

Idiot of the Day Award
(and even more importantly, the park to be open) Reminds me of one Clark Griswold's trip to Wally World. Makes ya think. At least this guy didn't pull a Clark and hold the place up.

Fearfest
People could still probably walk through the trough. I'm not saying it's going to happen, I'm just saying it's possible. Cedar Point's Warewolf Canyon is a walkthrough haunt through their water rapids trough.
