PKI's Calendar is up!
What is up with the PP sites? They're, like, moving them all to site destinations like http://www2.paramountparks.com/kingsisland/index.cfm ..and it really screws up some of the links on the sites. edit: Calendar is gone too. "Check back soon for 2006 Operating Calendar" http://www2.paramountparks.com/kingsisland...it_calendar.cfm

PKI's Calendar is up!
To clear things up, I decided to go to the source... I spoke with Maureen today, and as Klock said, they're trimming the hours a bit because the attendance in those extra hours just weren't enough to merit staying open extra. International Street will open at 10am along with the rest of the park. They will be keeping a close eye on attendance to see how this tweak in hours goes. On busy days like July 4th weekend, they may open the gates a bit early to allow people to trickle in to avoid a riot. On these days, it will be like years past, with ropes set up 'til the official opening time. They're still working out the details for walkbacks and gold pass events. So there ya have it.

"Times are subject to change" I wouldn't get too worked up. Yet.

PKI's Calendar is up!
Ummm...No it's not. Click the link, it opens the 2005 map in a PDF file. If you're talking about the thumbnail of the map, there's no real reason to change it. There's not enough detail in that small of an image for someone to say "OMGZ! IJ ISN'T THERE!?!!" That thumbnail is just to say "Hey! There's a map here! Click me, baby!"

PKD's Flight of Fear...No more?
Classic. That's all I'm saying. Classic. As for the removal of IJ from PKI's site...PKI has oddly never had IJ on their attractions pages, except for their "New for 2005" section.

PKI announces 2006 Job Fairs/Auditions
I don't know if you've got any Regal theatres around your place, but oddly enough Regal calls their employees cast members.

PKI announces 2006 Job Fairs/Auditions
"The magic of summer comes to life at the country’s #1 seasonal theme park, Paramount's Kings Island. More than 4,000 cast members are needed to fill open positions in Food Service, Ecology, Rides and Merchandise. Potential associates should be at least 15 years old and able to work throughout the summer months." source: http://www.pki.com/news/detail.cfm?item_id=284 "The Paramount's Kings Island entertainment team will host two auditions in search of talented singers, dancers, actors, characters and technicians on Saturday, Feb. 11 and Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Paramount Theatre." source: http://www.pki.com/news/detail.cfm?item_id=283

PKD's Flight of Fear...No more?
Correct. You can change the Ride ID to get different rides to show up on a different PP's page. You can do the same for their press releases.

Nickelodeon Studios Torn Down
Nemo, I forgot about a lot of those shows. I was sitting here reading this topic thinking "I didn't really watch much classic Nick"... ...but I realize that I did watch a lot of it, and I miss it all.

Winterfest Review
This? http://www.pkicentral.com/parkinfo/history...age.php?pos=-71 I really don't like the looks of that. I actually prefer the Paramount logo type star they had this year. Kinda creative

Racer
They probably have some sort of deal worked out with the states... I'd bet they either pay a percentage of taxes to each state, or all taxes to NC. Reason I say NC is because the address of the park is a NC address.

PKI open year around?
I dunno...that'd almost be depressing to just be able to LOOK at the coasters, knowing I can't ride them. ...one reason I'm dreading visiting Winterfest

PKI Name Change in Progress?
Changing the name would require quite a bit of work on the park's part, and since Paramount Parks still has the Kings Island, I doubt it'd change over the course of a few months in the off-season. Next time you're at the park, just count how many Paramount logos and such you see. It's on the water tower in Action Zone, Action Zone is called "Paramount" Action Zone. There's the Paramount Theatre. All (or most) of the rides have Paramount's Kings Island on them, etc, etc. Not to mention all of the employee uniforms, maintenance trucks, and all the other stuff. Not saying it won't happen...but if it does, it'll surely be a slow phase-out.

PKI Name Change in Progress?
Didn't they change the logo at the front of the fountain inside the gates from the Paramount's Kings Island logo to just "Kings Island" just before Winterfest? Or am I just nuts? I haven't been to the park since beginning of October, so I'm kind of out of the loop, so to speak.
