  1. Okay? We're discussing here. No reason to play forum police.
  2. Yeah, I feel fairly confident in saying that's what will happen, truthfully. Especially since there's no reservation system in place for Orion.
  3. I don't think it'll even be that bad, honestly. Most will gravitate to Orion, and the other rides will be pretty quick/walk-ons.
  4. I guess here's my question. If we have 10:30 times to get into the park, and the park doesn't open until 11...what are we doing for that half hour once we pass into the work? You can't socially distance 1700 people standing around waiting to get inside, can you? Are they just going to let people go in once they get through the checkpoints, and essentially have a "soft opening" at 10:30?
  5. Yeah, that's part of the reason I went with 7/3 instead.
  6. I look at it this way...Orion will likely have a massive line (especially if distancing is enforced), and literally every other ride will be a walk-on
  7. Well, I figure the 10:30 timeslot at least gets you in the first batch - of that first group, maybe 1/4 of them will run to it - but actual entry into the park is going to be staggered due to the temp checks, etc. So....get there early?
  8. Needless to say we're thankful for being able to get the 10:30 slot
  9. True. Just speaking for myself...I can fully say I'll be lining up at the lot around 10.
  10. Well, even then - if it's 1000 an hour, but the reservations are allowing for 1700 or so every half hour...that math just doesn't work I guess it depends on how fully staffed the boots will be, ultimately.
  11. Smoothly, sure. "Incredibly fast"? No, definitely not. There's hundreds of slots available every day. It looks like the first 2-3 days will "sell out" (holiday weekend + initial excitement) but after that, demand isn't nearly as great. Which, to be completely fair, should be expected.
  12. I mean, sure, they could. And then another 1700 attendees at 11:00 will start arriving, and then the 11:30 - you'll just create a massive bottleneck situation.
  13. That's exactly what's going to happen anyway though. 1700 people arriving at 10:30, and that's when you open the lot? Traffic will be backed up all the way down the road, and it'll be a flood of people arriving all at once at the front.
  14. So the lot is going to open at the same time as arrival? Yeah, that won't cause any issues...
  15. This is what I was planning to do as well - we have 10:30 for 7/3 and am planning on getting to the parking lot as early as possible (although admittedly I don't know how early the lot opens)
  16. This is exactly what I expect to happen as well, especially after seeing how few times have been booked so far.
  17. This is really kind of off subject and I apologize if not allowed - but does anyone know if Cedar Point has a forum like this to keep informed with? This forum has been an incredible resource for me with KI, and I'm hoping to hit CP for the first time in a few weeks, so....
  18. Reservations are live! Looks like by July 31 park capacity will be 14,000. Early on, it's more like 8,000. Was able to get the time/date I wanted (7/3 @ 10:30am) with no issues at all. On a side note, I tried to reserve a second time and it did indeed shut me down.
  19. Well, that was smooth and easy.
  20. Yeah, WOF has literally hundreds of slots available every day. I think people, for the most part, aren't comfortable with going to the park - whether that's due to the pandemic, the mask policy or whatever.
  21. Then it's absolutely pointless. May as well not do it at all. Edit: That being said - you're right.
  22. Another glimpse at Worlds of Fun today...
  23. As opposed to what?
  24. Just a snapshot from Worlds of Fun that I found. Not much info on Twitter about the reopening so far.
