What are the early ride time rides for this month?

My wife made this exact same prediction last night. That it'll be Firehawk and they'll sell it to KK.

Everything I saw on the news was completely accurate - this was an absolutely devastating storm. Flooding is still occurring, nearly two weeks later. It's not relevant to this topic but to claim that the media "created" the hurricane is to not pay attention to what's really going on in the Carolinas, even right now.

Or maybe those people decide to do something else that day and don't show up at the park at all...thus hurting the bottom line for CF.

In fairness, Vortex is above The Bat on that list. But point taken. That's really surprising, because it always seems like nobody is riding that ride.

As someone who doesn't necessarily always follow the day-to-day goings-on of the park... ...why is there not speculation that The Bat is gone? It seems to be, by far, the least popular of any coaster of all in the park. Seems like it'd be the natural choice, but no speculation seems to be centering toward it at all. Just curious?

So I'm looking at the calendar trying to plan out an October visit (https://www.visitkingsisland.com/explore/calendar-and-hours) - and I'm looking at the Fridays in October. For the hours that the park is open, it says 6PM-1AM, and below that it says "Haunt Only". Am I understanding correctly that this means that no actual rides are open on Fridays in October, and that the only open attractions are the Haunt based ones?

And I highly recommend going. Crowds will be light which will provide maximum ride time.

I mean, I agree with them. We were there from open until 3 and it was one of the best trips we've ever had. Virtually no lines at all and rode everything, with most rides being rode multiple times. It was great.

The water park did open? I know when we got there the screens were advertising that it was closed today. Just curious, what happens during a tornado alert? You mentioned going to the basement...do they have a designated area for guests, or how does that work? We left as 3 right as the big storm rolled in...started raining as soon as we got inside Big Boy lol

I was at the park from 9:30-3 today. It was mostly just sprinkling rain until the big storm hit at 3, and it made for a great day of riding. Rode every coaster, most of them 2-3 times, and only had a line once (Mystic Timbers after the restart) - and that was despite all of the rides shutting down for about 45 minutes in the early afternoon due to lightning in the area. But yes....it was very, VERY slow.

Awesome day to be at the park. It's barely sprinkling now and the weather has scared everyone away. Maybe 50 cars in the lot. Looks like walk-on rides for everything.

First visit of the season and what a perfect night. Haven't waited more than 10 minutes for any ride at all. Only been here an hour and a half and have almost ridden everything. Great time!

Can anyone confirm if The Beast is up? Thinking of making our first visit tomorrow, but may hold off if it isn't.
