  1. Well. I've been to both Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey, and Six Flags Great America in Chicago, and have seen parades at both of those parks. SFKK... to darn small and ghetto anyways.
  2. I think, since it is a Nick Parade, it will most likely stick around the Nickelodeon area. I don't think its meant to be long. Reasoning... longer parades the costumed people are on floats or vehicles of some kind. The parade route to I Street is too narrow for people, vehicles and the like. So must likely they would have to walk. Doing this during hot days would be killer to walk from HB/Nick to I Street.

If you go to CP and look at Iron Wolf, they have the same thing going on, except that spare piece of track is enclosed in a building.
  4. Not Listening. I'm not listening. So are you saying you went to PKI and bought a pizza then returned to work?!?! That just doesn't makes sense. Assuming you didn't pay for parking or to get into the park because you were a gold pass memeber, you still had to pay a much higher price for a pizza, get it in a really crappy box that will most likely fall apart, and got it back to work safely?!?!?
  5. Well... just took a trip out to Indiana and on the way back.... There is this same exact little coaster.. but not destroyed upon repair.. on trucks right off I-74 in Ohio before you get to the Indiana line. Thought maybe it was the one on ebay... but that one is from North Carolina.
  6. Well if PC has it, it is definetly different, just because it is through their local Dairy. Though, you can't get it anywhere else around the Cincinnati area.
  7. True.... we employees do ROCK!!! However I went with atmosphere, just because I loved the park long before I was ever employed there. I will probably love the park long after I finish my term... if that ever happens?
  8. I'm going to say King Cobra and probably everyone else should too. Who has actually been on the others?
  9. Mmmmmm, I think I need a tetanus shot from looking at that. Maybe I'll start back on my plans of a roller coaster for my back yard, then sell it. Right, I'm too darn lazy.
  10. I don't see why they couldn't. It would basically be the same as the canopy above the register for Sling Shot. Now will they? I don't know. I'm not in charge.
  11. I do believe Kings Island is the only place that gets the Blueberry Soft Serve ice cream. Our vendor is Trauth Dairy, and I'm pretty sure a few years ago we ran out on the last day. We could not get any more because Trauth didn't have anymore made since it was our last day of operating.
  12. You can guarantee its legal. In order to build a pump or anything around a river, you need permission from the Army Corp of Engineers, since they control it. So, I'm sure that its perfectly legal.
  13. Now people... lets give him a chance... If you are talking about the big green and white tent... then it definetly ain't over Down Under Thunder. Now if you are talking about Down Under Thunder, then you mean the slides which are right behind that tent. Which of course would mean you are talking about the metalic support structure on the loading platform. If this is the case, then no, I do not believe it was there last year, however it seems rather odd that they'd put that up so soon, especially since Queen City Awnings is the company they puts up the awnings and the support structures. They don't put them up usually until right before the waterpark opens, however they could have put it up right after they took down the awnings from last year.
  14. If they "sex" it up a bit... then it won't be suitable for children and we would definetly no longer be a family park.
  15. They were wear whatever uniform their company requires, as long as it still falls close to the PKI wardrobe. ie Polo shirt and no jeans.
  16. Seeing as how HB isn't owned by Paramount and Nickelodeon is.. it makes sense to me to no longer use HB stuff at all, obviously beside Scooby since it is new.
  17. Yeah cause a new sign IN the park is so special.
  18. Like Pat said, this is our actual ride, while it was built in Germany at the plant before making the journey to America.
  19. Being the Food & Beverage guru, I can help to the best of my abilities. The majority of all restaurants and food locations are run by the park themselves. Seeing as how the depertment is run by a chef... doesn't really make sense to source that out. Now, unfortuenetly with the lack of workers at times and low revenues in certain stands, we don't see it fit to run it ourselves. This way more concentration can be focused on the bigger stands. So we do source a few small places out to outside companies, who hire their own people and give us a share of the profits. Now, they are not all sourced out to the same company. One company is more specialized in cart and vending sales so they will do that. Another company is more geared toward deserts and beverages, so they do that. I really have no idea how the bidding for these contracts go about. I do not know if these companies approach Kings Island or it works the other way around. I just know that both side agree upon where they will take over, what they will sell, and how much money the one company will give to the other. Most contracts are only good for a year, but good working relationships last. The names of stands means nothing about who runs them. These "brand" names are franchised out and the park of course then gets to use them under certain guidelines. Any stand with a "brand" name will use food from those companies unless we sell additional items that are not offered from that company. The other stands which are more generic names (ie Festhaus, Magilla's) that food is just through a normal food distributer like any other company would use. In reality even the big "brand" names use some things that are through common distributers.
  20. Wow, I had seen pictures of it set up and running at the plant but I hadn't seen pictures with people on it there. Guess they had to make sure it really worked with people on it.
  21. Gotta remember, this was built originally back in the early 80's... People were more trusting back in the day.
  22. Most contracts with the park are more than one year long. So, I do not know when LaRosa's started their last contract with the park, nor do I know when it is up. Even if it is to expire.. you say you don't know what other hometown pizza would go in. None of those places you listed are "hometown" pizza, they are national chains. Though like fryler said... if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The park makes a ton of money off selling that pizza. Why change?
  23. You didn't go back that far for psycho path. No there is no building there anymore. That fenced off area to the left is the edge of the actual animal grounds. While the building in the rear looks like a picnic shelter was not for group picnics.
  24. If you look under the lift hill. There is a bunny hop. That was taken out, since obviously there is a path under that section now.
  25. Those stairs are still there, just blocked off.
