First, it did not happen. But, second, coasters that have had deaths usually do continue to operate. See, for instance, Raven at Holiday World, Rolling Thunder at Six Flags Great Adventure, Timber Wolf at Worlds of Fun, etc. I had never heard that someone died on Raven... when did that happen (not doubting you, of course, but just curious)? Yes someone did die on raven in 2003 The lady unbuckled her seatbelt and had her lapbar up and was flung out during the event Stark Raven Mad.

While everyone else is off at SFKK I decided to head home and relax and recoup for a day or so here is my report on the event that was Holiwood Nights. Friday, I brought my GF with me and shes no coaster freak so this should be fun. We arrive in Santa Claus at 3pm and Get our stuff setup. Head down to the park where they let us in early! We decided to hitup Raven and Legand first and if we had time take a early Voyage ride. I should also mention that the temp change was quite drastic as it was only in the 70's when I left Cincinnati. Raven was loved by my gf who's first ride was a back seat ride. I always loved it so I was happy that it preformed well. Next up was Legand. Funny thing is my GF found it boring.. Legand wasn't running so hot friday afternoon. Then it was down to Voyage. The walk down to this area is so not Holiday World more of a Kings Island before Action Zone was finished look. About 10 months ago it was a field so no wonder. Very open wide pathways. Big huge spotlights all around very differen't but for this area it worked. Now this is a brand new ride in its infancy. 3-4 hour wait maybe? try 15mins for the back seat. Even with 2 trains the ride was running VERY VERY good. this part of the TR is in first person Now I was nervious, I had only seen this ride on the computer and I chose the best seat in the house for it and..im in...Man this is either gonna be Beast painful or its going to rock my socks off. Up the lift...boy you go up fast....oh were at the top.....OH MY GOD IM OUTTA MY SEAT WOO!!!!. I do the same on the second drop and onwards. The 90 Degree turns give latteral airtime too...ooh god...a a MCBR...wait...its just trimming...into the triple down i swear im gonna hit my head! Oh my god these turns are wickid! Wait thats the LINE!...oh thank god its over... I came off tha ride speechless. Just wow...i was...god...i mean...jesus...wow..god... Then it was time to head up the hill and over to the Good Times Picnic area for us to wait for the park to clear. We meet up with the rest of our group there and talk. My GF doesn't have a opinion on anything (this is addressed later). We all decide to get a group ride in when we are cleared. Will Koch takes the stage and talks to us for a while and sets the rules ect ect. The Paula there PR lady comes up and talks for a bit then Pat koch comes out and talks and has us pray with her for a safe event in what has to be the biggest polically correct prayer ever. We get the all clear and were off...to legand and raven first since they aren't gonna be so busy. After Voyage, The others seemed...well just okay. Anywho much riding ensued and we went back to the campground dead. Woke up at 8 frickin am and drove over to the Holiday foods across from the campground for some tolletries (aka I aint using 1 ply). Decide to skip the water park ert and go back to bed. Saturday was mostly photo taking and riding some of the smaller stuff. We watched the dive show and walked around the doll house and where they had the trains in the fudge shop. Road the log flume and rapids ride. and then a nap. Dinner was good. No bad news The night rides are insane on voyage just insane. Puts beast to shame. Now i go die.

missing one car!

Reading sparkys TR I have the feeling that I am not going to get as much bang for my buck this year. I already got my 06 pass last year but looking at the gold pass page I do not see as my perks as there were in the past. Its almost better to just get a normal white pass. The train opening with the waterpark is just a cost cutting measure. I street not opening till 10 Cost cutting. The park looking dirty cost cutting. The park is really sticking it to us this year. Major attractions not up a weekend that hasn't been this nice since 2002 is a bad way to start the season. Someone is using that six flags logic. lets give them something shiny and new to distract them from the rest of the park that we let goto crap. Basically CBS must of cut the budget so much to make it look "appealing" to bidders.
