  1. Challenges for PKIU Survivor in BB... 1) Races on the new Coolengatta Racers 2) Time on Wipe Out Beach (whatever it is now) 3) Team Activity.... highest raft up side of Tasmanian Typhoon Funnel. 4) If there is volleyball courts... do I have to explain. 5) Beer chugging... wait most people are under 21 and we should encourage that.. shame on me Maybe we can think of other stuff and make a day here and there for competitions.
  2. Whatever kinda scary thing you can think of that would live in the dense woods.
  3. I'm sure no one cares but I'll be there around 7ish to close working.
  4. Amen... well not the Klingons so much. Bring back the theming, bring back the fun wardrobe depending on "Area" of the park, just don't go back to the polyester. Bring back all the little things (including employees that don't suck, I know I have a few) that you take for granted that just make your visit enjoyable. Speaking of fun wardrobe... Bubba Gumps wears Bubba shirts everyday instead of the blue Cintas shirts... Now Outback Shack (Sharky's) and all Boomerang Bay employees will be wearing special clothes as well. Can't wait to see how the atmosphere out there will add to the guests day.
  5. Derr... I'm Special.
  6. Media Preview is on May 27th, a Thursday. I had to ask off my other job just so I could work at PKI that day.
  7. 1.) Of course they are having a media day. Only the "MEDIA" is invited, well and those who attended the ACE NoCoaster event in January. So its not very likely many people on here will be going that day, unless they are a life guard or work in food service or merch. 2.) I will be there cause I'll be working. Don't know if I'll be at the bar or one of the walk around waiters.
  8. Anyone there working or as a guest see a supervisor chasing down some kid... yeah that was me. I hate thiefs.
  9. No, that will all be outside the park. Duh..
  10. Its a perfect excuse for me to sneak down to Carowinds for a day or two. Hopefully we'll have some good bands come in.
  11. You get one of those things in your mouth.... good luck breathing. I'd like to think people would be smart enough to duck or close their mouths if they were heading towards a swarm of them.
  12. Got the Carowinds newsletter today which mentions House of Blues adding concerts to the "Paladium", their concert venue, so I quickly checked out Kings Island and the other parks. As of right now... Timberwolf Amphitheatre at Kings Island June 5th Maze w/ Frankie Beverly and others Tickets go on sale May 7th Paladium Amphitheatre at Carowinds May 23rd Ginuwine w/ Joe and Jagged Edge Tickets on sale now July 27th 311 with The Roots Tickets on sale now August 13th Emmylou Harris with Patty Griffin.... Tickets on sale now Kingswood Amphitheatre at Kings Dominion June 22nd Styx with Peter Frampton Tickets on sale now House of Blues Website
  13. Man you ruining it for us peeps in Indiana that are an hour behind. Haha...
  14. All I could read in there was... blah blah blah... I'm a dirty post whore.
  15. I want candy. We all know what everyone really wants. They wanted it for 2004, they want it for 2005.... they'll want it every year until they have it. Then they'll want more. Wow, this sounds like cocaine... which now doesn't sound good that I said I wanted candy... eh, I still want candy.
  16. I can't help but notice that all of these people who have been involved in these accidents were of.... shall we say... "unusual body proportion" as the KI safety warning signs dictate. Unfortunetly each of these parks probably had some sort of warning at the entrance to these rides similar to what Kings Island has, warning people of unusual body proportions that they may not fit on the ride. However they are able to get in and the bar is able to lock. It should really be designated whether these restraints are down properly, through some sort of training in depth on the operators part. Perhaps a test seat where people of large/unusual proportion must check with an operator for proper fit before entering the line, much like Tomb Raider and Delirium test seats. I, personally, feel safe in the simple T-bar restraints, however, being a skinnier person, I am also fully covered by the bar and not worried. Though, perhaps a larger 'T', like the ones on the B&M hypers and a deeper, more encapsulating seat would allow for greater protection. If these rides are open at parks when I visit, I probably won't even think twice about getting on or about the T-bars unless I see someone stuggling with it.
  17. Odd. I was told by the painters that it was called Eifel Tower Blue. Stupid painters.
  18. You hear this screeching on a lot of woodies. This mainly only happens in places where the wheels are not rolling in a straight line. The metal wheels roll but are also turning left or right while the metal on the track is sitting still. Thus metal rubbing on metal..... load noises, and sometimes slower trains that get stuck.
  19. The type that you are talking about are the Schwarzkopf launched shuttle loops. Either a counterweight or a cable pulled launch through a straight section, loop, up incline until gravity takes over and you go backwards. Scremin Demon was launched by dropping you off the platform down a hill, into the loop, onto a platform on the other side, then doing that again. Kinda different, kinda the same. Never road Scremin' but have ridden various other Schwarzkopf shuttles and enjoy them as long as there isn't a long line. The speed and size of loops create some pretty tough g's at the top of the loop causing me to gray out almost everytime. Kinda fun at times.
  20. So if they are only going to paint the bottom 2/3 and the platforms with Eifel Tower Green... then won't that clash the rest that is still Eifel Tower Blue?
  21. I checked today. The Adventures for Wish Kids 5k is on May 8th. This is not the same walk as ones done in the past years. The other walk does occur latter on in the year. This walk does use the same route on the back roads and is just an additional walk/fund raiser sponsered by the park and other corporations.
  22. Only thing listed on Ticketmaster.com right now is Spirit Song from July 8-July 10th. Just remember, any concert with beer sales... I'll be there. I'll be the one selling.
  23. Not the same days. Jeff wasn't born on the official opening, but on the grand opening. He's a May baby I believe. I think Shaggy told us that last year.
  24. I don't remember that walk being the "Wish Kids" walk. This walk usually takes place in the fall right after the park closes for the full season. We normally offer hot dogs, chips, water and stuff afterwards once they get to the waterpark. Though, this usually is little kids walking with their parents or someone to raise money for other kid problems I believe.
  25. Thats funny. I was the supervisor there that year and I bet you I know who it was. If so, she didn't last all year. Stuff like that costs the park more money to serve you than you compensated us with.
