  1. Pepsi Python will win worst coaster in the area award. I hope. It stinks hardcore.
  2. No, I'm pretty sure it's once per qualifying ride.
  3. It was called smash factory. I liked it. But Days of Thunder was by far the best.
  4. They can't be made free with admission because the lines would be outrageously long. Also, the money generated by those rides helps to pay for new additions and fixing up old things in the park. Just because you don't want to pay doesn't mean somebody else won't, and clearly plenty of people do. I saw one day that the games people had a goal to get somewhere around 50 riders in an hour for Days of Thunder. So that means that hourly capacity is probably around 75-85. Figure, about 7 cars max, with a 5 minute cycle. 12 cycles an hour, multiplied by 7, is 84. Capacity is horrible. Delirium can handle more people then that in 5 minutes. That is why those rides have to be pay-per.
  5. It will be held at the International Showplace. The sign they put up is next to the Bandstand. Makes me wonder.
  6. It does pertain to PKI, as it is the employee league.
  7. I wish they would open a real restaurant up in there. With full service waiters and the like. Of course, the prices would be astronomical, but it would be cool nonetheless.
  8. Yeah, undressing is a step to far. That always happens in the back corner of the festhaus, by the Drink's Bar. Always.
  9. I'm 6'3" and I fit better than usual, but my knees were still pushed up pretty far. I wish they'd fix the floor. And it is still so rough, its like there's so much of a gap between the bottom wheels and the track that it just beats you to hell when the top wheel lifts up. I always feel like my spine is compressed when I come off. Anyway. No, you'll probably still have trouble, because they didn't fix the floor.
  10. I rode SOB wednesday night at the employee rides night, and the midcourse were definately on. Still an awesome ride though. I like the new lapbars, they make it a little more comfortable.
  11. I connect myself to the park more then anyone else... And maybe this image in my head I have of The Beast. But that's just me. Anybody else have ideas about what The Beast does during the day, and what kind of books and magazines he likes to read?
  12. A guest asked me my favorite ride yesterday... I was hard pressed. I told him The Beast, at night, while it's drizzling. I would say: 1)The Beast 2)SOB 3)Drop Zone 4)Outer Limits (I know I know... I just like that name) 5)Face/Off Not in that order, and I had a lot of trouble picking the fifth one. It's like Delirium, TRTR, Face/Off, and Recar should all go there.
  13. The food prices are comperable with the prices of food at other local amusement attractions, i.e. Newport On The Levee, The Zoo, etc...
  14. Karaoke is gone for the time being. Maybe it will come back postseason.
  15. Nope, absolutely not. The Racers were built especially for the King's Island and it's grand opening at a cost of 1 million, I believe. Not a lot by today's standards.
  16. Not this again... In a nutshell, certain people think that there are two types of restraints that go over your shoulder: 1) The overly padded and bulky ones, like the ones you see on our two Vekomas, Face/Off and RRR, which these people refer to as an OTSR, and 2)The essentially unpadded Over-The-Shoulder-Restraint, as found on Vortex, which is referred to as a "horsecollar." Personally, I think that they both go over your shoulder, so another name could perhaps be developed for the so-called "OTSR" to not create confusion or chaos. I think this due to the fact that the so called "horsecollar" goes over your shoulder, very much the same as the so called "OTSR" which, by the way, stands for Over The Shoulder Restraint. Anyone else see my reasoning here?
  17. I rode today, and my one gripe is that the TV's need a good washing. There's all kinds of spitballs and stuff in there. But the fog was even on today. Kudos to PKI.
  18. as weird as that is... ataris_like_chickens@zoomtown.com
  19. I watched the beginning of Pulse during a rehersal on Friday... Bleh. I don't like it. Too STOMP-esque. It's an overplayed theme. Karaeoke was way better, and that, haha that my friends is making a statement.
  20. I would fire all associates who walk around out of wardrobe, including, but not limited to: Shirt untucked Hat on backwards Shirt only on around neck Talking or texting on cell phone in view of GP Eating in view of GP I'd also work on the service with a smile aspect of things. The park could use a little more happiness. . And I would ban the rain. I hate rain.
  21. I think it's a good thing, as military people aren't paid very much. As far as the stipulations go, you can call the park and they will be glad to tell you, just find the hotline number because I can't.
  22. It is a good picture, no doubt, but not the best. It shouldn't matter what I think though, if it's your favorite, more power to you.
  23. 1.) They (inspectors and Paramount Parks) deemed both Drop Zone and King Cobra to be safe and reopened them shortly after they were "indefinately closed." That was not the reason for the demise of the King Cobra. 2.) The slingshot is still operating. 3.) TRTR has been unpredictable this year, to the best of my knowledge. You'll just have to take your chances.
  24. I would think so... Seeing as how it's not something I learned at the park, it's something I picked up on the internet. And I work in Food Service, so I'm not told anything about the rides, anything I know, I know because I found it on the internet.
  25. I'd say skyline footlong day forever. I'd mandate it. You're security, right DragonLord? So I get paid more than second season security, and I haven't even worked a full year. That's crappy.
