Losing Streak

SOB is the roughest ride of any kind i've ever been on. I've sat in all 3 positions in most of the cars, and it doesn't help. Especially going through the rose bowl, i can feel my brain hitting the sides of my skull. it's extra violent. Just gives me a really sick feeling, like somebody just punched me in the side of the head. I think its because the lap bar holds my body right to the train, so the only thing that'll shake is my head. But it needs to be fixed. Not that it will, no matter how many people get whiplash. It's the PKI way.

Quite honestly, I have no idea why they wouldn't build over the tower... they had no qualms about DZ, which is very close to, if not taller then. (no need to reopen that debate) It changes the skyline, which isn't always a bad thing... and say its only what, 350 feet, and they build it in an obscure corner of the park, ie behind racer, then you can't really tell from the parking lot, and so it doesn't take away from the allure of the tower. I don't think it's that big a deal in the first place, i mean, yeah, the tower is the centerpiece of the park, but it doesn't bring in any money... A 350-400 foot coaster would.

I dunno if one is better, but maybe they'll both go off this year... Last year they were both messed up by the rain, the one on the 4th was canceled, the 5th was not right from what I saw.

Hope you guys are having better luck with the micros then we did at skyline preseason... I can honestly say I don't miss it.

for the environment maybe? sure you have the same park all 3 days, but on that second day, said employee gets to hear a dj mix off and not have little kids around. Not important to me, but somebody will care.

Only at the beginning of the year, the sneak preview night is billed almost as a gold pass exclusive, but they give away the tickets to radio stations and whatnot. Last night was all gold pass. If you catch my drift, sir.

If they declare BB nonsmoking save for a smokers lounge, then i'm fairly confident that at least Security will be able to enforce it, and they're pretty good at what they do.

Tables are Food Service, not Ecology. But it's nice to get some compliments either way.

That type of ride has been known to valley, though. Face/off did it a few times last year if I'm thinking right. I don't know if they used a cherry picker or what, though.

If there's a lot of area in the park where they hatch, like say the entire woods, then the whole park will be blanketed... IIRC, it's something like 1 billion cicadas per acre. Sounds ridiculous, i know.

i think we talked about this already. but i read somewhere that they aren't going to be so bad north of 275 because there's been so much construction there in the last 17 years. If they are bad, there's not too much to be done, I don't think.

Lets all hope... Because I know I don't want to be cleaning those things up from the weird places I'm sure they'll find their way to.

How about close-double-open for a wonderful weekend? friday 3pm-11pm, saturday 7:30am-12am, sunday 7:30am-6pm. Not exactly the most fun I've ever had working.

My counts are uber low for the amount of time I spent at the park... like once on most rides...

holy crap dude I didn't know anybody knew it was called Crocadile dundee's Boomerang Bay. I didn't even know until last weekend.

I had some hard park withdrawl... But I got to walk around International Street today. so I feel a little better.

I think I saw part of the third train last weekend... And it was gutted. All the padding and seat stuff was gone. I saw it over the summer and it was in good working order, and had obvious signs that it had been used.

That's about the only place in the park that it's not "Skyline Chili Vision" Those screens are all Coca-Cola.
