Yep, the waterpark did close. There’s necking seen in the remaining supports still on the roof. That’s clear evidence of a deformation.

However, it is unknown if the roof had a deformation causing the supporting straps to fail, or if the supports failed on their own.

Today, there was a failure in the roof at Kalahari, resulting in 2 HVAC lines falling into the pool. It seems like the supports may have suffered from deformation before they yielded, as there is necking in the support in the center of the photo.

However, one can do it for the last three rows. They do that at Fun Spot and still get trains dispatched at a rate equivalent to Flying Ace. The slower the ride, the better the VR effects are.

I recently rode Freedom Flyer, a Vekoma jr invert, just like Flying Ace. I was curicurious if Flying Ace could be renovated to include second generation trains along with VR option.

When Paramount owned the park, there supposedly were rules in place such that any attraction would have to be planned, built, and tested within a calandar year. These rules were implemented after the Stealth and Son of Beast fiascos. In terms of additions, I’d think you’d see more flats such as Larson’s, Funtime, even Gerstlauers. Ive been told that there was survey work done by the Rivertown RR for the return of the Antique cars. Whether that actually would happen is debatable. However, I’d think in terms of coasters, KI would have received a full sized invert, due to the ROI, and reliability of the Inverted coaster type.

Apparently Kings Island was part of Cincinnati’s bid for the Olympic Games. I’m curious how the park would have held events.

Seems like they were recovering the train prior to park closing last night. And at BGE, Invadr valleyed during the park’s winter event as well due to snow on the track.

Question: with Mystic stuck over the reservoir, how do they do the pull through to get the train from it’s current spot?
