  1. For those saying the ribs and corn portions were to small, they weren’t.
  2. This is quite a fascinating hotel development. Currently, there are no extended stay value hotels in Mason. http://coaster-nation.com/kinew_hotel/
  3. Our Crypt was. The problem was that the ride was a show ride, rather than a thrill ride. A show ride is a ride where the cars, or in this case (3 rows of seats) would reach a point and the next show element would commence. Our version was never built for the 8 inversion cycle KD was. KD’s version was the prototype floorless model, which was only designed for thrills, not show elements.
  4. However, the footers would have to be much deeper as you do not want your Coaster to coast down a hill.
  5. But over an acre of trees next to the world’s best wooded coaster? Suspiscious.
  6. 1. I was answering someone else. 2. There were still trunks of the fallen trees on the ground.
  7. They weren’t Ash trees, hence removal for EAB would be unnecessary. Very true. However, can anyone explain why remove a 50 foot tall tree that is over 100 feet from the coaster? https://youtu.be/rTyN-vvFIkE
  8. However, nobody can explain the cutting of healthy trees by The Beast.
  9. Don’t know why, but there was orange spray paint on the DBack support closest to the Crypt.
  10. That’s strange. However the video showed the clearing by Beast as well as the site where the horizontal construction was.
  11. Here’s a video of both clearing by Beast, and topographical alterations in old Dino attraction. CF419990-1913-464D-A528-8F8E4FF73A6E.MOV
  12. Which is horizontal construction.
  13. Yes, but there’s also green survey markers on all the trees nearby indicating the placement of new sewer lines around the park. Given the drainage pipes seen by Beast, all the projects could be linked.
  14. Here’s an update: https://t.co/z3pbHHnGZr
  15. So there is construction by Dinosaur’s Alive: https://coaster-nation.com/clearingatdinosaurs/
  16. Narrator: “A year passed. Winter changed into Spring. Spring changed into Summer. Summer changed back into Winter. And Winter gave Spring and Summer a miss and went straight on into Autumn.” Honestly, it looks like KI has kept some of its Winterfest props in place. When will the park confirm the 2018 version of it?
  17. A lot. Some by Racer, Firehawk and Beast areas.
  18. Uh, finally, someone is reporting clearing of land! I saw from the smoking area, and grading is occurring.
  19. There’s trees down. They look like excavator pushed or pulled them. Plus, utility lines still on site for Dino Store.
  20. Ride the Skywarp. Jk For me, ride the Slingshot.
  21. Yeah it had a rollback. It was really interesting, from an engineering standpoint to watch.
  22. None. There’s no work going on at all.
  23. However, it will only operate for 6 weeks.
  24. I wonder how they’ll deal with the closure with the heavy spring break traffic.
