Guests Say The Darnest Things
Here's one that irked the engineer in me: "Why did they build the coaster out of wood? Nothing is ever built of wood."

Is surf dog considered a coaster?
It acts like a coaster, and when powered coasts like a roller coaster. It sometimes valleys like a coaster, so why isn't it called a coaster?

Talk about flying phones, I was on the ride with a friend and saw a phone fly out of someone's hand on Diamondback. Fortunately, it was on the second hill, so it flew away from the riders.

Should PKI bring back the Smurf Ride?
I always thought a ride on Snoopy's Robot would be an interesting dark ride idea.

Fast Lane Plus Season Pass
And................................ King's Island released their Fast Lane deals today. HOWEVER, no season long Fast Lane pass included. I would have used it on MT and WG if it was available.

We have Mystic Timbers for airtime.

No, the track height in the station is 763. The 775-763 difference still applies.

Itn regards to the Shed and the train, the train I believe around 14 feet of clearance. Remember, the train tracks are 2 feet below the surrounding terrain, so even with the 12 feet of the train tracks accounted for, that doesn't explain the drop off from 22 to 12 feet. Second with the guessing of the shed, do you really expect the park to say whether we made a correct guess? Honestly, the park won't confirm or deny anything regarding the shed, besides the fact there will be a shed on Mystic Timbers.

Not entirely. The photo shows that the structure is way clear of the structure for MT.

The construction photos remind me of all those engineering classes at college. I wonder if the station will be themed like Banshee's.

Looking at the topographic maps for the region, Mystic Timbers brake run sits about 22-24 feet above ground level. The map I linked, Mystic Timbers' shed is at the 750 mark. From the leaked BP, the station is at 763. However GCI's brake runs are always flat with around a one foot vertical difference between brakes and station. However, taking that into account, 750+24-763-1 = 10 feet. There is a vertical difference between the shed and station of about 10 feet, which is interesting given the mystery of the shed. I have to admit MT has a lot of terrain to work with. https://www.mytopo.com/maps/

On the QCD blog, there's a very telling picture. The section of track at the end is the brake run to enter the shed. Now, if you assume the bents are 6 feet long, it's 24 feet high. Now the station is set up to be 12 feet tall. That's a 12 foot difference and the gradient would be too much for the GCI drive wheels. I'm saying drop track.

True, but the lines run past the station entirely. It could use some of the line, but if the only use of the line is to supply a hose, best bet would to get a water tank.

I find it interesting that Mystic Timbers may have a water feature as well since, in the images tweeted out by KI, there are markers for water lines (indicated by blue flag) that run parallel along the length of the station. Thoughts?

Well, hydraulic markers were placed in the location of the shed at the time all of the initial markings were placed.

Okay, those blueprints were a big hint. There were squares on the diagram, indicating that something important was indicated on the construction blueprint. I researched some symbols for diagrams and found squares indicated valves. I later found that a filled in square indicated a hydraulic valve. It makes sense for two separate systems for the shed. One is for the doors, another is for a prop. Hydraulics could be used to extend an object (let's say a vine, this is MT we are talking about). Synchronize it with motions with drive tires, you could make a scene where the vines are pulling the car back. GCI has used sound effects on rides (Apocalypse) so a synchronized tire screech sound effect could simulate escaping from the vines.

I'm intrigued by height of first shed building. Could prop vines drop from walls and ceiling and interact with riders similar to what was done by a Disney for extraTERRORestrial attraction?

It's the world's first Tom&Chee coaster. The shed is just the drive through for picking up the food. JK. But when did he say no one has guessed correctly? It could be a viewing experience where drop down screens project different viewing experiences for each car.
