  1. What construction/demo company will do work for probono/little pay and say "Oh, you can give us the rest of the money later on. It's ok."? If they have to, they would close off areas of Action Zone and/or Adventure Express. 1. Transfer track- Queue in Wolf Pack (don't say anything about fog-you can see perfectly fine through it. And even if you can't, if you get there when the Sun is setting early on and the smoke hasn't built up yet, you can see the rust perfectly) 2. Cross sections in the supports (you can look at any 2000 picture and see that they weren't that bad then compared to now. Look at the exit from Flight Deck and near Thunder Alley.) 3. The rosebowl (Eiffel Tower with a camera [you might need a good zoom]) Edited to add viewing points.
  2. If it wasn't safe and the park didn't have the funds to remove it safely, it would still stand there, trying to keep it safe enough to not fall down around existing rides...
  3. Bathing suits...in the bathroom...at Action Zone....
  4. Like most people who talk about the structural stability, I do not claim to be an expert. It just doesn't seem like the structure is safe. But what do I know!
  5. The track appears to be more warped than usual, and the transfer track has rusted really bad.
  6. The station has been receiving the only maintenence since '10 after the shut down, so why would people be walking most probably unsafe structures and track?
  7. That happened to me after it released on the second hill. My head was thrust down on the loop and through the cobra roll. It was painful, but I learned how to brace myself and to never look down. The bracing is true on rides like Vortex and The Beast.
  8. Why would Paramount release that? And when?! I would've been lining up to buy that!
  9. Hmm... That's kinda bad, though. I know I somehow got the "full" TR:TR soundtrack (minus the queue--starting with the preshow rolling door open) from a link on this site... And then there's Hank's posted link in "If you Could Change a Ride..." from KIE that has the Express, Flight of Fear, etc soundtracks on it. Did KIE get the permission from Rob Pottorf?
  10. But not on Son of Beast's tracks!
  11. It's also reality, and they're probably not working on the tracks anyways. But that's just my opinion. Maybe.
  12. I emailed Rob about the soundtrack for Tomb Raider and Flight of Fear soundtracks. He emailed me back saying something to the effect of "These soundtracks were asked to not be disclosed to anyone, as they are under copyright protection!" I would assume it's the same with the video.
  13. I never experience Jaws, sadly. But I do agree that the "frozen" Butter Beer is the best!
  14. Bird, I would be quiet unless you want your account to be suspended *cough* mccarthysnerd *cough*
  15. I always start out my day in Action Zone. Always. So I generally go to Invertigo, then Drop Tower, Flight Deck, Delirium, Adventure Express, etc, working my way clockwise around the park. If you want to get on Firehawk quick, try for one of the first few rides. I've only gone at rope drop once (went on Adventure Express in the front row, first train of the day, only one other person on there!), so I'm not too much of an expert of what to ride at rope drop.
  16. Technically, it was also made for an older audience, too! All's cool, Voicetek. You should really ride Woodstock in the front with your son or daughter (if you're old enough to have had a kid or two!), the feeling is amazing to see the joy on a childs face mixed in with a great ride. EDIT- Just saw Voicetek's most recent post--you should try to remember to ride Woodstock Express next visit. You might be surprised with how fun it is!
  17. Yes, see my post (of which you probably didn't care to read at all).
  18. Then what's Woodstock Express? Sorry, I was unaware that you ride kiddy coasters. When I said 2 coasters, I was referring to The Racer and The Beast, I wasn't including the wooden coaster in kiddy land. Oh, really? Woodstock Express is just as much of a roller coaster as The Racer or Son of Beast is. Woodstock Express/The Beastie/Scooby Doo packs quite a punch for what it is. I had my friend ride it (he'd never been on it before) and he said that the drops were relatively fast for what it is. And he loved it. Woodstock Express and The Racer were the flagship attractions when the park opened. You shouldn't call anyone a baby for loving rides you think are lame, because we're allowed to have different opinions.
  19. It looked like crap from day 1.
  20. I think that FUN tried their hardest to make sure that the exit of Vortex, the entrance and exit of WindSeeker, and the entrance/exit of the Dino Movie would not be too congested. I don't go to the park on crowded days like Saturdays anymore (too crowded for my taste-when Flight Deck has a line, you know it's bad!), so I don't know how this is on those days, but it doesn't seem so bad on the weekdays. Also take in to account that not many people are interested in the movie, so not many people head back there, leaving the walkway almost dead.
  21. What is so special about the Carousel organ? I know everyone here is deeply saddened by the fact that our organ isn't working, but what was so special? I might have experienced it, but was too young to remember.
  22. THE CRYPT? I knew it. Anyways, back on topic, I would LOVE to see a GG, GCI, or a Plug-n-Play come to the park. It should go where SoB is now (the only reasonably sized piece of land in the park that could be used without ruining too much of an atmosphere).
  23. Well, I loathe sports, and in result I do not pay attention to them, so I wouldn't know! But if I were to take a wild stab at it, I would assume so.
  24. Why does there need to be a sponsor? The quotable Sammy K in my signature is sponsored by companies such as Remo, Yamaha, Zildjian, etc, and he gets free stuff from those sponsors. So did Pepsi pay for part of the construction, operating costs, or just pure advertisments?
  25. You stand taller than the saddle on rides like Mantis, Skyrider, Shockwave, etc, so you don't hit the saddle, making for a much more comfortable ride.
