Starting to Decode 2014
(In reference to the last post on the last page) Hold up, hold up: What?
-
Starting to Decode 2014
Yes, but I don't see how the "Service Mark Published For Opposition" date correlates with the announcement date.

Starting to Decode 2014
And you know this for sure? EDIT: Wow, the forum software just went totally haywire on me. Posts were in the wrong order, people were replying to posts that didn't exist yet...man, it was crazy. Crazy, man. It's a sign.

The Italian Job: Stunt Track
Or, they could tear it down and bring back the Antique Cars and Flying Eagles. Hey, it could happen. I've always been told that Ron Toomer did not design Adventure Express. Rumor? Maybe, but it's what I've been told.

Even so, digging a tunnel from the one big hole to the other would involve tearing out at least four footers that have already been poured, or removing the machine access road. And I have a feeling they'd dig the entire trench at once, not dig two holes then connect them.

I'm putting all my plastic eggs in the CORN: The Ride basket.

Starting to Decode 2014
So it will definitely be CORN: The Ride?

Starting to Decode 2014
If only BLSC could get a Steeplechase re-theme and the Flying Eagles could return. That'll be the day.

If you owned CF, how would you operate it?
*bump* Hard to believe that only a little over two years out, some of the ideas in this topic have actually come to fruition. And some other ones seem even more ridiculous. (A ride named Katrina? Really?) And also, that is the biggest wall of text I've ever seen.

Former KI Attractions Still Around
As a side question, what happened to Tumble Bug, and why was it removed? I would assume it was scrapped and was removed due to maintenance issues or to make room for Skylab.

Starting to Decode 2014
Round round, get around - we get around. Clearly this is a hint that for 2014, in addition to CORN: The Ride, we will also get a new show celebrating the music of the Beach Boys and other 60s surf rock groups called "Surfers Rule."

Former KI Attractions Still Around
How many rides/attractions formerly located at Kings Island were relocated to another park and are still around today? I know that the Flying Eagles are now located at Carowinds, the Flying Dutchman found its way to Kentucky Kingdom, and the Wheel of Fortune resides at DelGrosso's, but are there any other former Kings Island attractions that are still rideable, albeit in a different location?

If only, buddy. If only...

Shoot The Rapids boat flips over with riders
That sounds absolutely dreadful. Hopefully the cause of the accident can be determined quickly and something like this never happens again. And, as always, my thoughts are with those affected.

Intimidator 305 Closed: Cable Lift Problems
I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's not just a case of different opinions. It's a case of ramming an opinion in other people's faces. Seriously, try to find a YoungStud post not about Intamin superiority, women (including his "hot wife",) or something not relevant to the thread topic.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/103476203062848/ is what he is referring to. And I don't see any evidence.

Starting to Decode 2014
I only rode the Crypt once. The ride was less than impressive, but one of the operators let me take some of the items in lost-and-found from the previous day, so it turned out alright. To give you some perspective, the Crypt spent less time at Kings Island than Son of Beast (and Screamin' Demon, the Rotor Tumble Bug, etc.) And for most of that time, it was mediocre at best in comparison to what it once was/could be.

Starting to Decode 2014
Yeah, a spectacular failure record in the case of the Crypt.

Mobile device or PC computer
...and now I'm the only one who uses a PC. One running an older operating system, at that.

Favorite ride at Cedar Point.
Millennium Force is first, of course. Closely following is Magnum XL-200.

Starting to Decode 2014
Could it? Of course. But will it? I really don't think so. Racing coasters really aren't all too common, and with The Racer still around I don't see it as a likely possibility.
-
Starting to Decode 2014
The new ride, of course. LordSkippy, who has no idea beyond that.

Starting to Decode 2014
I'd say more of a positive Gs coaster. The footers seem to imply a twisty-turny layout, and from my experience twisty-turny coasters generally have more positive than negative Gs.

What color would fit the name "Banshee"?
What are all you guys talking about? Clearly, since the ride will be CORN: The Ride, it will have yellow track and green supports. LordSkippy, sticking to his guns, even though they're only water pistols.

Starting to Decode 2014
You know, I'm honestly surprised at how little we know for sure regarding "the 2014 project." When the first teasers appeared in April, I expected us to have the whole thing figured out by mid-July. Well, here we are in mid-July and we're still mostly in the dark.
