  1. The whole part at the end is just mounted on steel supports, mounted on the building. They make for terrible shaking and transitions. You also hit that first loop/diving loop way too fast.
  2. Agreed. Its not only a terrible ride that hurts, it costs lots of money. (I think it was 15 dollars when I rode)
  3. Its sad, but completly expected. People were saying that CF would do it within 10 hours of its opening.
  4. I usually eat at Festhaus. I like the environment and the food.
  5. I started going around the age of 4. I was way to scared to ride any roller coasters except Taxi Jam. When I was 7 my parents had to drag me on Beastie. From then on they coulnt get me off the rides...
  6. SOB-2010-2012 Racer-2020 Beast-Not until KI closes. Vortex-2020 Flight Deck-2015 Invertigo-2030 (Really because nothing else could go in this spot unless a new popular very compact coaster can be built) BLSC-2020 Diamondback-2040 FOF-2030 Firehawk-2015 (Too long of lines, and an attempt to expand X-base into its own area will finish this) AE-2030 Beastie-2050 Runaway Reptar-2030
  7. Tumble Bug/Skylab (Original Operator's booth and queue is still in tact) Bat (Footings, station cut outs) Flight Commander (Queue/loading pad) Cuddle Up/Old Dodgems (Building) and, I believe, the Flying Carpet (Footings behind Zephyr... but may be gone by now...) Where are most of those? I only know of Flight Commander and The Bat.
  8. I have ridden Firehawk once in my 8 visits to the park since it debuted. Its a fun ride, but I agree with you its not worth the wait for 60 seconds of flight.
  9. Those are not the F1 cars are they? The F1 cars seem to look different Here. Did they have a last second change? Or is this simply a different coaster?
  10. Anyone have pictures?
  11. The IS webcam is now online! Its the best one so far imo.
  12. I would take the boo blasters. Press a button and my house lights go off and I tour it with a laser and shoot at targets.
  13. I saw this commercial too here in Indy. I have yet to ever see a KI commercial here.
  14. Dbfan replied to Coney Islander's topic in Rumors
Its in a location thats unique, but if SOB was removed, it could really open up possibilities of something else going there. I give it to 2015 tops.

Action Zone needs to be modern music. River town bluegrass. Music on IS back to the original stuff. Coney mall I dont know. Maybe techno in X base? I dont know.
  16. They hinted this on the 5@5 thread I think monday. I figured it was new pavement, but this looks much better!
  17. The queue and loading station were actually outside the building. Oh never knew that. Where were they outside the building?
  18. Was it the same queue/loading area for BBaBH?
  19. Anyone know what this could be? And Welcome back Terpy, its been lonely without you here.
  20. Below are the questions that were selected for Monday's 5@5 Mailbag: Nicholas Himes - Last year KI stayed open til' midnight on select Saturday's. How popular was that, and whats the possibility that more Saturday's or even Friday's will be added this year These were popular so we are doing it again. This year we’ll stay open until Midnight every Saturday night from July 3 – August 7. Check them out online at: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/public/visit/hours/index.cfm ------------------------------ Dave Wetterstroem - Does Kings Island offer behind the scenes tours? The only tour for public sale is the VIP Tour which has been really popular. We do work with several coaster enthusiast groups for special behind-the-scenes tours. We will also be adding a new train tour very soon. We tested it the other day and it seems like this could be a really unique opportunity. The VIP Tour info is available online at: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/public/admission/vip_tours/index.cfm ------------------------------ Griffin Hodges - Not to be a stickler or anything, but I have noticed that this 5@5 has become more of a 5@later-than-5. I understand that you have a job (an awesome one at that) and don't get me wrong, I GREATLY appreciate what you are doing for all of the fans of KI, but I'm sure people would appreciate a little timeliness No offense taken. 5pm sounded like a great idea at the time. Many times though the office is buzzing around 5 so it’s hard to sit down and give this the thought it deserves. Plus many times a question involves some digging so it takes a bit. In my case I’m also trying to get the kids home and get some food in their bellies. Then I have to sneak off with my computer so my wife doesn’t yell “are you still playing on Facebook? What do you do on there all the time?” I appreciate your comment though. ------------------------------ Robby Krotts - I know it was a long time ago, but why was the i guess you would call it the vine walkthrough(where you walk into a arch with i think was vines of some sort on all sides) that lead to kid land taken down? It would be cool to have something like that again kinda a gateway between areas. I remember that tunnel fondly. It was altered when the area around it changed. It lost its purpose and just became something that wasn’t getting the appropriate attention so it went away. Our park has some great landscaping and we put a lot of effort into making it look good. Old things have a way of coming back and you and I can keep pushing for it. ------------------------------ Asa McCormick whats up with The Racer cam? The Racer camera is challenging since the feed has several routes as it goes through wcpo.com news website. We are working on it and I’ve asked to get this one corrected as quick as possible this week along with the I-Street camera. I’m curious if you’ll be able to see the paver work going on this week at the front gate! I think you will be pleasantly surprised this Friday. Read the last one...
  21. Perhaps the sit-down restaurant that we have been waiting for? Those dont look like ride-footers to me.
  22. Pt was way more scarier tham Boo Blasters will ever be. For one, you didnt have a gun in your hand, which usually makes you feel a little more braver. It also is the fact that in PT, all the animatronics were humanlike, and that scared me the most. Cartoon ghosts and skeletons dont, but life-like humans that look dead would scare me the most.
  23. 37 Voyage Rides? Very Lucky, and very nice TR.
  24. Dang, 8000 posts. Congratz. And yes, it is very lonely here without him. I can't wait for him to get back.
