SeaWorld Unveils Manta Trains!
Don't the trains just look amazing! I love the zero car! B&M really showed some creativeness with their trains this year with DB and Manta..

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
I try to explain things and end up confusing everyone. I almost put a note before it to warn people before reading it. Also on the DB blog: I don't think he is talking to those of us who check the blog everyday and are on KICentral everyday.

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
I just noticed all of the lights hanging off of the station and some heading down the exit ramp. The ares is starting to get its feel! I can't wait to start seeing the queue start to take shape too. I have a question though because I'm not really sure what the line will look like. You see how there are 2 little parts of concrete sticking out of the big massive slab of concrete? Is the one on the right right next to the end of the exit going to be the entrance and the little part of concrete sticking out on the left going to continue under the lift the up the stairs into the station? EDIT: Bright!

Saw: The Ride
I heard terrible reports of that day with many rides closed, even Saw. Besides it going down early in the day I read it was quite the ride. Let's hope Kings Island will be much better. I have no doubts besides weather but we won't know about that for a couple more weeks.

Whats the tallest roller coaster youve ridden
^My birthday is July 15th! Except I don't know what I am doing for it yet.

Quick Question
^Actually Son of Beast has changed since she has worked there. I worked there this past season and they now go into the storage track which is right next to the ready breaks. Every night a maintenance man would have to come to our ride after we closed up and park the trains in these spots then we could finally shut off the ride.

Cedar Fair Cuts Dividend, Considering Park and Land Sales...
Just read this in the news paper. Title is "Kings Island owner explores sale of 3 other parks" "North America's third larges amusement park chain announced Monday, March 9, it was considering selling Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, Mo., and Valleyfair near Minneapolis. and a now closed park near Cleveland (Geauga Lake)." It also says that "Cutting the distribution rate to $1 per limited partner unit along with other payments will help lower debt by about $200 Million over the next 3 years" This was in the Pulse Journal-Little Miami.

Quick Question
When I worked at Flight Deck also they indeed parked one on the lift about half way up and one in the station. I don't ever remember hearing why they did this but after all of the training instruction while being trained to "drive" and learning about the brakes blowing and what would happen, I'm sure the train would be much safer on the lift.

They were indead testing DT yesterday. They only actually lifted the ride gondola once but they played with the purple lift mechanism (don't know the real name for it) from 11ish till at least 1:30 when I left the area. Yes I noticed that they raised the purple mechanism (I too do not know the name) and asked myself if that had been up all off season and I'm pretty sure it hasn't. Thank you to all who enjoyed my video! And I couldn't have really filmed it at a different angle unless I went over towards the Lazer Kraze parking lot or went into the employee parking lot. Which I probably could have done seeing that I have my employee ID now but I didn't want to risk getting into trouble. EDIT: Caught a picture of the splashdown.

^Yeah that is one reason I opted to leave the sound in and not replace it with music. It truly is amazing!

^I did not intend on beating anyone's video. I just live very close and wanted to get some footage. No one can beat in park footage where no one else can get.

Diamondback Construction Thread (Updated 3-19-09)
I agree with Terpy. I don't think a POV would look much different than the Renderings. However I still think it would be awesome to have one but maybe not until after the park opens. Don't want to spoil the surprise!

I only like the fast pass system at Disney because it is free but I wouldn't want it at KI. It kinda seems unfair eventhough at Six Flags parks people do pay extra for the system but some people just can't afford to spend that extra money even if it is just for one day. IMO.

^^Agreed. People spilling this information could seriously effect the auction. I think they should put "First public ride on Diamondback" though.
