  1. My mom was searching though some boxes in the basement and stumble upon some old photos of her and my dad at Kings Island. I asked them if I could post them on here and they said sure even though they have the "wonderful" 80s hair styles and such. They thought the pictures were from around 1987 and I don't know very much about where each picture is but I will do my best. *If you can help me out and give some awesome facts and input that would be awesome! Here is my mom on the left, her dad in the middle and his (now) ex-wife. Does anyone want to help me figure out where this was taken? Here's my goofy dad in front of the fountains on International Street. My mom at the log ride. (I don't know the name ) Here is my mom on what looks like to be on the second lift hill of The Beast. Can someone help me out with this show? My dad in front of The Beastie! From the safari ride. Again I do not know the name. My dad won my mom a frog! Haha My mom with a character I also do not know the name of. On White Water Canyon I think. From the safari ride. Again I do not know the name. And I have no idea where this was taken. Anyone know?
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Universal Studios Islands of Adventure already have two coasters: One called Ice and the other Fire Yes I am aware of those names. That is why I put them down as examples. Key word in that statement was like. I think it would be cool to have two of those coasters, each with a name the contrasts the other like the examples I provided. I'm a roller coaster enthusiast, of course I know those coasters.
  3. I'm not completely sure but I think it was Vortex. I'll have to see if my parents remember.
  4. Finally another blog update. One of the most beautiful parts of the park getting dome TLC. http://www.kingsislandinsider.blogspot.com/
  5. ^So does Busch Gardens Europe. But I still think these are some awesome perks seeing that we are also getting a brand new B&M this year.
  6. *Jaw Drop* You guys are so lucky! Those are some awesome perks!
  7. HAHA You should have done it!
  8. Maybe opening day but I don't think people are going to be standing there watching the coaster. They will all be over by The Crypt probably. But during the morning rush I bet that area will include some pushing and shoving by animals that don't know how to act like humans.
  9. Just thought this picture looked pretty cool. You can see the new work on the sign and you can see all the dark colors around the are more clear since there is no sun on them at the moment.
  10. Oh yeah I forgot about the purple supports. Either way both coasters look kinda....blehh. I do like the purple with the white though on that coaster. I think one of those coasters would look pretty different in that area but could be pretty fun if more than one was added. That one is about 7 million USD, so two wouldn't be too bad.
  11. Or TCFKASRoSoAM *The Coaster Formerly Known As Superman Ride of Steel of Agawam, Massachusetts.*
  12. Yeah that's exactly the thing I was thinking after I posted that. I was imaging opening day and the line being absolutely horrible. Two of them right next to each other would be pretty awesome. They could have names like Fire and Ice or Lion and Tiger or something along those lines that contrast each other.
  13. Well how about letting Intamin totally take over the park even more and put in a ZacSpin. Takes up very little room and looks like tons of fun!
  14. Yeah you are correct. http://kiDiamondback.com/public/latest/blog/ I know it seems kinda silly but I was just curious. Not like there's a lot going on with this topic right now.
  15. This is probably a dumb question but do splash down pools get drained every night after park hours? Or do they just keep the water in and only drain when necessary?

Oh ok I see now. That's depressing. I hope Boulderdash is going to be ok!

^Wait a second. When did they get a new owner!?

^I was going to mention Lake Compounce which also has free unlimited Pepsi products. It's great! I don't know how they can afford to do it but it is a great feature.
  19. I almost voted for Dinosaur too. That's one of my favorite attractions at WDW. But The Beast does beat it when it comes to separate attractions.

Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the park, except for medical reasons. The park has free tap water, and sells bottled water. Why would you think you could bring in something the park sells? Why not bring in a LaRosa's pizza, too? smile.gif Because I'm allergic to that water... But the park sells shirts right? Am I allowed to wear my own shirt in the park or must I buy one there because shirts and shoes are required. If tap water is free then why can't I bring in my own in a bottle? I'm not trying to sound like a brat, just my little humble opinion.
  21. If you think those restraints hurt, Twister's at SFNE I think are worse. It's a harness and then a bar comes up and SLAMS into you. It hurts pretty bad if you are not in the right position. I would consider The Crypt one of the better Top Spins I have been on with only these two under my belt.

I guess I'm lucky I live so close. I never eat at the park. I always eat at home and since this is my first year back to the area and I have a car I think I will be packing a lunch most of the time. I have never really eaten at theme parks. At SFNE me and my friend everytime would just get cheese frys and a drink and be fine for the rest of the day. I'm always trying to get as many rides in as I can in one day, not enough time for eating or drinking. Are you allowed to bring your own bottled water into the park?
  23. ^I was working at the park that day when they closed it down early. I was sent to West Pie in Nick U and at Jimmy Neutrons Atom Smashers after just being trained there a little while before. I was also alone at that ride and I get a phone call to close down the ride.... Yeah I really didn't know how to do that so I had to tell everyone to get off and try my best to "close down" the ride. We were told to turn in our paper work and "Get Out". We were all joking around that we would see a Mr. Clean or the other blow ups flying across the park. I still don't know what my plans are yet for opening day. Our division training for Admissions is on Saturday so I'm guessing we will get schedules then? I hope I get to ride DB at least once on Saturday!

^You should download Firefox. It has spell check.
  25. I just noticed this. Is the line going to be just like Apollo's Chariot's line? I was trying to figure out how the line would go underneath the lift and I just remembered waiting in line for Apollo's Chariot and being under the lift.
