  1. Wow. Virus Z looks infinitely better than anything at KI's Haunt. Much more professional sets and costumes as well as prepared scareactors! Anything that would be close to that quality would be incredibly successful for KI's Haunt.
  2. There are many places where they could have mazes. I only wish the Scare Zones were random and not planned like a maze where you have to wait to go through. At both Busch G and Universal you are forced to go through the zones to get to the mazes, "no escape". The scareactors mingle with the crowd more than at KI. The only way this would work at KI, is it that they would have to close off pathways to filter the crowds through the zones.
  3. They could use the Rivertown Arcade for a maze or a tent between the Crypt and Beast (behind the fence.) How about this idea. Reverse the direction of Tombstone Terrortory back to the train area, board the train back to Boomarang Bay for another attraction, and a train ride back to the picnic grove for another attraction that exits between the log ride and rollercoaster in Planet Snoopy. (I know.... far reaching but would definitely be worth the wait!)
  4. Maybe it's a Christmas gift......
  5. After having been to Halloween Horror Nights and Hallowscreams at Busch Gardens, Kings Islands haunt appears to be third rate. KI's event is unimaginative and dull. Let's hope it gets a total overhaul.

I never had to wait too long to ride anything at Kings Island. That was always a part of the anticipation. These new line jumper tickets are effective from noon until 7 to ride as much as you want, out of the line and back into the line. Hmm. I guess I'll wait until after 7 to go to Kings Island because the "standby" or "second class" lines will be impossibly long during that time. Money talks I guess, or perhaps that should be money rides.....
  7. 4 times. twice at night. once during the fireworks. You feel the explosions and felt heat (but that could have been sunburn). Also anyone notice the "stuff" behind the dinosaur exhibit on (July 2nd) ? It looked like rows of round black objects and stacks of orange bars. I'm not sure if they are still there, but take a look the next time you ride and post what you see.
  8. It's always one more click. To me it is security overkill. Bring back the buzz-bars and and thin the gene pool.
  9. Kings Island, the A-museum-ent Park

It's sinking into the annals of history.
  12. Hmmm. A dino trail could be a great addition to ........Halloween Haunt......
  13. According to the new video, we're getting a new PR rep.
  14. Could it be a Raptor clone coaster through an animated dinosaur paddock?
  15. I liked how Paramount included the general public in some of it's decision making. It made me feel like I had some part in the entertainment somehow. Because the theme park division was being pushed from one one business division to another they never were able to create the park to it's full potential. What I never understood was after the American parks were sold, they pursued to build a new park outside of the US.

Come on....it's just the 2 mile long queue line for WindSeeker.
  17. The real problem with raising ticket and resort prices is that the clientele reaches an exclusivity point where the average family cannot afford to go. Kind of like turning the park made for every one into Club Med. Then the family dream of a lifetime fades away.... I took a family of five in 1997 for $900.00 including airline, room and park tickets. Now an airline ticket would take a third of that just for one person. Plus, if you look at the current room prices forget it. I just want to visit, not to buy the hotel. I haven't stayed on site since 2003. As the costs increase, I've been staying further and further away from the parks, almost to the point that it's hardly worth going. It's sad because I know I'm not the only one who feels this way. When gas prices peak at the expected rate of $5.00 per gallon this summer.....watch Disney and other parks scramble to get guest back to their resorts. They will start to reduce their overhead, hours and possibly their workforce. The only problem is it will be too little too late. It's a business and yes they should be allowed to raise their prices.... however, is this really the time to do it?
  18. I used to go to Disney World every year. Then one season, I went to Universal Orlando, and had an extra day. I called their ticketing department and asked what a one day park hopper would cost. At that time it was $110 dollars..... What a value. It was then and there that I decided that Disney is no longer a value for me. It's a shame but I am not paying a small fortune to visit an amusement park. Ain't gonna happen.
  19. Great photos. Brings back a lot of memories. Small park.....big fun. (Coney Island is fun.....Coney Island is fun....Coney is fun for everyone....isn't that something it's fun!)
  20. Can anyone remember and describe the Lost River? I can't remember if there were dark ride scenes inside or was it just dark? I can just barely remember the lift and the drop. But I do remember standing in the "splash zone" at the base and watching the cars momentarily leave the track as they crested the hill. You could see the wheels stop momentarily. I do wish KI would get an Olde Mill type dark ride. I think it would fit perfectly from the skee-ball area to the restroom (flight commander) area of Coney Mall.
  21. I was eight years old when the park closed but I will try to remember the ride. You stepped into a model T type vehicle and pulled down a lap bar and the car made a sharp right under the overhanging vines through the old fashioned dark ride doors. Immediately there was a skeleton in a chair directly ahead of you. His jaw moved as he said "Welcome to the house of the dead" and you quickly turned right past a skeleton french maid. You immediately began twisting through a series of pretzels left and right through portraits on the walls. The you came to a skeleton playing an organ. From what I remember, you then turned into a banquet hall and circled the table in the room. It was skeltons sitting around the table much like the haunted mansion at disney. Then you went through a set of doors into a burning living room where a boy skeleton was watching tv and girl skeleton was sliding down the stair rail. Then you turned into a hallway that looked as if you were traveling downwards. You then turned left into a torture chamber. You circled through the chamber and into the dark. I then remember traveling through a pretzel area in total darkness. What I remember most was my sister screaming loud enough to break glass! Then you come out of the house on the opposite side a quick pretzel to the left and right back to the loading platform. I asked my sister why she screamed and she said that someone was in the dark and reached out and touched her arm....
  22. Let's see... Glee released a holiday music album this year, has mentioned KI and the Newsletter this week had the title "Imagine Winterfest". Do you suppose CF has seen the errors of their ways since Christmas Town has been a huge success? Nah....
