Great trip report! I personally love Mantis. I hear a lot of guys have a problem with it in a certain tender spot on their bodies. I only had that kind of problem with Tomb Raider!

Cargo shorts. Definitely, cargo shorts for me. But do they make those for women?

Well, I've never been on Kingda Ka, but doesn't it have OTSR's? I could see how that would make it less popular than TTD. Also, from looking at Live Search, You would have a great view of the parking lot from the top of Kingda Ka. From TTD you got Millennium Force and Lake Erie to look down upon.

I rose it earlier today. I have never rode SoB before the incident, but I found it to be smoother than The Racer, maybe even smoother than The Beast. I rode in the very front row, right side, blue train. The only rough part was the bottom of the rose bowl. Anyways, I thought it was better than The Beast! Well, The Beast at day......

How about a coaster located between The Beast and TR:TR that extends south towards Boomerang Bay? Something like Maverick there would be amazing.

I've RSVP'd already, but I probably won't be able to come until around 1:00. Where should I meet up with the group and pick up my lanyard?

They actually played the clips from the movie when I rode it yesterday. Do they not normally?

I was their today, err, yesterday, err.... on the 3rd, and I can confirm this. I asked the greeter when SoB was expected to open. She said "It probably won't open tonight." Well, my opportunity has passed. I won't be able to visit KI for at least 2 weeks. I need my SoB fix! (Actually, I have never ridden SoB.)

Definitely. I rode in the back at night. Spoiled that night ride. I will NEVER ride in the very back on The Beast again. I was bracing my arms against the seats in the double helix to prevent me from being bashed to death. Otherwise, The Beast is amazing.

Lol, I remember being TERRIFIED of Scooby Zoom, the ride formerly known as Top Cat's Taxi Jam, now known as Little Bill's Giggle Coaster. Well, until I actually rode it. That was over a decade ago. Hehe, I've come far in 10 years.

There's just no way... two years ago or so, "Dirty Steve" and I rode it in the pre-season about 4 or 5 times in a row with the lights off. We then talked the ride op into letting us have a light on ride and she turned them on from the control booth. How did you ride it in the pre-season?

Your friend probably meant that he rode it when it was lightER. Supposedly Flight of Fear is not as dark as it used to be because of dim safety lights. Last year was the first time I rode it, so I can not confirm if it really is lighter. If there are bright lights in Flight of Fear, they probably only turn them on for maintenance. Yet again, I've been wrong before.....

Actually when I was in line for Firehawk the lady sitting at the stool telling you when you could enter the station said to us something about Vortex was only supposed to run for only 18 years and its already run for 19 season so it'll probably go soon. But yes the GP is usually oblivious to most things KI. And most everything else.

My biggest pet peeve is when people say Kings Island is owned by Cedar Point. I always correct them and say it's Cedar Fair who owns Kings Island.

Originally I planned to recreate the landscape south of The Beast around WWC, but it would become too complicated. Lol, it takes a lot longer to recreate a ride in NoLimits than RCT3. Even original rides, for that matter. NoLimits has quite a bit of a learning curve. I'm still learning to use some of the features. So who knows how to post NoLimits coasters online?

I do get off early alot at KI. God, I hope he was right.

Lol, I made a NoLimits coaster called Diamondback just a few days ago. It's basically a bigger, taller, longer version of Maverick with more inversions and is buried in the woods. I'd post it for everyone to see if I knew how. So..... how?

Delirium is amazing, and is WAY bigger than any "stupid fair ride." By the way the spin is very slow. I would not call it a "spinny ride." On a different note, Vortex is one of the great rides that defines Kings Island. Even if they replaced it with a B&M mega-looper, I would be upset to see it go. And they need to take the building off of Tomb Raider and give it a more intense ride program.
