The New KICentral.com T-Shirt Now Available!
Just ignore the size chart and go with whatever size you normally wear. I ordered both of mine in large and am right within that range (5'10", 150lbs).

Conquering your fears
I was a bit frightened the first time I rode Beastie, but I got over it. I was only 6 at the time, and this was before they'd added seatbelts, so you actually got a little airtime going over the first hill.

Classic footage of The Bat and other KI rides
While it's good to see that it's still operational, does anyone know why it was removed and sold in the first place? Wikipedia and flatrides.com both say that the ride lasted until sometime in 1992, but RCDB says AE opened in 1991, so it couldn't have been removed for AE.

Finding KIC members?
I've added a photo of me to my profile. I should be fairly easy to spot

Classic footage of The Bat and other KI rides
Ok... For those familiar with older KI rides, what ride is shown starting about 15 seconds into the video?

Classic footage of The Bat and other KI rides
Found this on Youtube while looking to see if the KI commercial mentioned in another thread is out there. Really nice video...

Seaon Pass Processing wait
We got there in early afternoon - probably around 1:00 or shortly thereafter.

The New KICentral.com T-Shirt Now Available!
I ordered mine this past Friday, so that's why they got here so soon.

Seaon Pass Processing wait
When I was there on Sunday it was only a 15 to 20 minute wait, but within an hour or two the temporary queue area to the left of the building was filled and the line was much longer.

How busy will this weekend be
Saturday should be an interesting challenge for me. Right now I'm planning to spend the entire day at KI (from whenever I get there around 6:30am until I'm too tired to do anything else or until the end of DB ERT). While staying up until 2 or 3 in the morning isn't an issue (I do it all the time), getting up at 5:30 is going to be a challenge because I'm used to sleeping in until 9 or 10.

Little Things You Notice
A couple more things I noticed this past Sunday: Those playing the basketball game along the path between Rivertown and Coney Mall can pay for it with Visa or Mastercard now (there's a sticker with the cards' logos on the side of the metal box where they stick the cash). Several lights have been removed along the queue lines for BLSC and Delirium - look for concrete pads with plastic tubes sticking out of them.

Article on Diamondback from Canada
The biggest issue I saw with the SRL on Sunday is that they kept running out of the Single Rider passes at the entrance, so they'd have to close the SRL temporarily until someone at the station brought the passes back down. They either need more passes or a better system.

Six Flags Announces Financing Arrangements For 2009 Partnership Parks 'Put' Amount
I'm glad someone understands it because it's still a big confusing mess to me

Former Hard Rock Park has a new name
Will be interesting to see how it survives this year, but the prices are still a bit high - especially because the cutoff age for "children" is 10. What parent wants to pay full price for a 10-year-old?

What ride was open the year you were born
The Beast didn't open until 1979...

Six Flags Announces Financing Arrangements For 2009 Partnership Parks 'Put' Amount
Care to put that in terms that we can understand? I looked up "put" on Wikipedia and still have no clue what it is

Little Things You Notice
I thought those were bumblebees, but either way, I just do my best to leave them alone. I figure I won't get stung as long as I don't bother them.

What would you like changed to KI in the next five years?
Apparently there was a Ferris Wheel in the Oktoberfest area at one time. Not sure when it was removed or for what reason. An Intamin Giant Wheel would be a nice addition to the park. It has enclosed, air-conditioned gondolas with room for 6 people and excellent capacity (theoretical hourly capacity of 1250 for the 78m (256ft) model according to Intamin). Just get rid of Euro Bungy and you have a great spot to put something like that.

The New KICentral.com T-Shirt Now Available!
My shirts are on the way. Haven't decided if I'm going to do iron-on letters or not. I've considered just finding one of those stick-on "Hello, My Name Is..." name-tags instead, but I should be fairly easy to spot. I'll be wearing a red, white and black Cincinnati Bearcats hat with a gray bearcat on the left side and "Bearcats Cincinnati" on the brim.
