Nick Lachey worked at PKI
I believe you are right coaster, and I do believe he was the one to go to Princeton High school.

yes, the park has people to take care of pest problems. The problem with the bees is that there are so many hives, we don't know where they all are, so we can only kill so many of them.

Well then why don't you kindly go tell Guest relations because listening to you complain is getting really annoying. and guests relations does listen, I get to read the reports they run on a daily basis involving guests and guest service. Try them, they do do a good job.

sadly, no AC... yet. And it's not my office, per say, but the Action Zone Games Office. I am the Manager of said Games. I have a cubicle in a front building myself. It's not the best little box in the park, but it will do. We all make fun of it too.

The sign was changed then, when I saw it last, it was said simply Action Zone. That building you see in the pic a few posts above, is my office in the park, so I saw the sign often and never remember it saying Paramount.

Delirium
Thanks for chiming in roller nut. For those who are still skeptical, he does work there and does see what's going on. However, be glada you had such good experiences, the 2 or 3 from these forums who went, because not everyone did. It's the same thing happening up here, a bunch had good experiences and a bunch had bad experiences. These things do happen, sadly.

Hmm... is this part of a "phase-out?" I dont think it would be part of the phase out process. Doesn't make sense to me, since Action Zone is not a name of some sort of identifiable Paramount Movie, at least that I know of. It was just the name of the area. I don't know for sure though.

Umm... KI is an outside location. Exterminator can spray and kill a lot, but nature will most likely bring a few more bees to fill in the holes. That's what nature does...

There is more to an open than you might think. The stuff I am talking about is more back end stuff that the general public is not privy to. I was not trying to be a jerk or anything, but Carowinds open was not a happy one on all accounts. I do talk with a one of the VP's down there on occassion and one of the GM's down there. The one that told you who is buying the parks no doubt. <G> I have never said who was buying the parks. In fact, if you read all my posts, you will see that, despite all the things being said about Cedar Fairs buying the park, I told everyone that it will probably not be sold, or at least known, until June. So, next time, if you're going to try and make something funny, make sure you're being accurate. Otherwise, you look like an idiot. Interpreter, you are correct, but, like I said, there is more to an opening than just what the public sees. You may have had a great experience, but I heard it was a little rough in some departments down there, which is why I can say they didn't have the great opening everyone else sees. It's different when you're a manager, you look at all things. Woofer, your numbers aren't quite correct. One bad experience gets told to 10 people, then they tell at least 2 more, who tell 2 more, etc...

Was Opening Weekend a Success?
There were problems, but overall, people seemed to be having fun, which is what it's about.

Read my post carefully about the dog food. We usually order fish food, no exception this year. Problem was, we had rats eat all our food and, at the last minute, we had to find a substitute. Now, if you don't normally buy dog food, you don't know what's small and what's large. We grabbed a bag of large dog food was all, as a filler until next week when we get more fish food in.

your missed whac a mole is going on the other side there, so it shall return. I looked for it yesterday but couldn't find it. Where are they putting it in Coney Mall? whac a mole was not up this weekend. It should be up soon. It will be in the covered game across from it's fried as the above person suggested. One half will be Crazy Can, similar to the old One Ball and the other side will be Whac a mole.

Delirium
on friday, Delirium ran for like one cycle, I believe, 2 max. I was in the park all day and am in that area. When Delirium is down, it really hurts the traffic that goes through that way, which means less players for games, so I notice these things.

Old Cars
yes, the cars are there, doesn't mean all of them are there, some may have been sold. There are a lot of cars since there were once two sides to the antique cars. In fact, I am pretty sure the ones behind Delirium are the ones from only half of the Antique set.

ahahahahaha!!! Umm... riiight... I seem to be hearing a different story, but sure, they're the only ones who opened without major trouble, if you say so.

For rcmaster, carowinds definitely had nametags last year, I have one from when I worked down there last year.

It's always good to hear some positive amongst a lot of negative. I know a lot of people are upset that some rides are down, especially in Action Zone, but please note, yelling at the regular associates will probably not fix it... I know you all know that though.

couple of things... yes, bees are everywhere, the large carpenter bees... But they don't stink, they bite. They have no stingers... Also, please note bees do sting or bite unless they sense fear or are threatened. And yes, the fish feeders do have bigger food, but the regular food will be in around next week. Rats at all the food that was supposed to be for the fish so we had to improvise for opening weekend.

yes, we employees wear our IDs. Also, the HUGE Action Zone sign is gone.

Drop Zone
I do not know that with 100% certainty... I do know, I was at work yesterday and they were painting the structure and within about half an hour, they were running the ride. I could be wrong, but the paint wouldnt dry that quickly.

Nights of Fire
Nights of Fire, as of now, will happen for 4 nights, July 1,2,3,4 since the 4th is after the weekend they figured they would start it on the weekend. If you're not sure if they'll happen, there's a sign in the park on one of the windows next to It's Fried, where the bowling game was last year. It has all the info.

Old Cars
The cars still sit exactly where you saw them, I saw them there today... They're right behind the Slingshot fence
