  1. a chaperone policy is a great permanent solution. There are numbers of things that can be done to prevent and discourage these things from happening. If such policy was added, I wouldn't be able to go to the park with my sisters, I could go but they couldn't since I am between 18 and 21. I think some bans need to be put in place. Anyone who incites or is apart of such behavior should be given a 45 operating day ban. After that time, a 30 day period of time is taken where if you do something again, you get a year ban. Bans should be given out more frequently as well as things like crowd prevention. Any crowd of 5+ underage teenagers shouldn't be allowed in the park unless there is 1 adult per 5 children (Or they are apart of a visiting school / org / church / ect. A chaperone policy ruins it for the rule abiders and still can be averted if the adult is just as careless as the minors.
  2. Did anyone notice the lack of ops saying "Scan". It seems like it is no longer required. It seems to be speeding up the operations.
  3. Agreed, even if they opened a location temporarily in the former subway building, I think it would be much better. All the load has been shifted to the one location, the demand is still there.
  4. If the park was a year round park, I don't think anybody would mind as much, It's only because it's seasonal that it looks bad on their end. Yet another reason I think more parks should consider it in some capacity. It would relieve lots of things like this since there is no defined off season. Since supply chains and construction worker shortages are ramping up, It will likely only get worse as time goes on throughout the industry. Sadly, times are changing.
  5. Butter. that's the entirety of my review.
  6. For those who want an uninterrupted and unedited version of the map here you go! Using adobe illustrator (The original software the map was created in) I was able to open the PDF in that software and essentially have the layers still intact. This allows me to remove anything added to the map that was made in illustrator such as filters, shapes, text, drop shadows and more. Enjoy!
  7. Seems like the weather for tomorrow looks to be partly cloudy with a small chance of rain around 2-4. Looks like a really pleasant day!
  8. I agree, It's much more energetic and is more lively, it's fun to walk with the beat and just makes me feel comfortable in the park. I do understand the appeal of the old tracks though.
  9. Seems like an employee stress test of sorts, likely the people are friends and family of employees
  10. It'll be fun to watch them prepare for haunt and winterfest as well as the deconstruction of both.
  11. There used to be a weather bug camera there, it was removed a year or so ago. This new one is a video stream and not a photo stream
  12. Curious, what is the typical training session? I like to watch the trainings with the webcams but I never really know what's going on.
  13. For the awkward size and shape of the building, this use case seems perfect for what it is.
  14. Fox 19 All signs seem to be pointing to a dry and nice looking Friday. Saturday could have a bit of sprinkles or some rain. Looks like Sunday will likely have rain with cooling temps.
  15. Pardon my excitement but... 1 MORE WEEK!!!!!!
  16. A brand new webpage has been created, using the wayback machine it seems like it was added in the past few days with me just noticing it. Seasonal Events in Cincinnati, OH | Family Events | Kings Island (visitkingsisland.com). This page is reachable under the *Rides & Experiences* tab.
  17. This text seems to be out of date
  18. The hilarious thing (to me) is that Kennywood has a permanent chaperone policy. It's almost like it doesn't do much (of corse I'm biased as I don't think these policies work when it comes to amusement parks so take this with a spoonful of salt)
  19. This screams budget cuts. This is the Safest early ride time selection I've ever seen (In terms of reliability)
  20. They've always used random roller coasters in the spiriting branding. The closest they've been (From the ones I went to) was the year they put a Vekoma Boomerang in the background. Only thing was that it wasn't an inverted one.
  21. SPIRITSONG | Facebook Hmmmmmmmmmm
  22. Every time I think of Coney this scene always pops into my head https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPY1IvAGnAM&ab_channel=radiCOLEnsumMatt
  23. I think the ride is a great fit for younger children and those who need an in between ride, I do agree the location of the ride is one of the worst in the park. I think it would be a good idea to relocate it elsewhere in the park, now for where, I don't entirely know but I think relocating it would allow for a new theme to be easily overlayed since you could start new with the theming. It's a small enough ride that it should be relatively easy to relocate and retheme.
  24. I drove past the park today, It looks like the lights are being converted to LED lights along with other walkway lights.
