  1. Right, anyone using the dining plan is within the current rules. The computer system will not allow anyone to go outside of those rules. However, there are people using it to the extent that there could be changes forthcoming to the plan. There are people that go to the park just to eat and go so far as to go there and carry the food out. I have seen it myself. Tower Topics reported this week that KI had someone stationed outside the gate counting the people taking food out of the park. The indicates that the park/company is unhappy with the way the plan is working currently. This company is infamous for bait-and-switch and changing terms after purchase, so don't be shocked at anything they do.......
  2. To start with, have the equipment to keep the food warm. Those warming tables that they have only warm the bottom of the pans. Most of the food at the park is lukewarm or even cold. I just don't find anything unique that would make me want to wait to get the park to eat it. Most of the food there amounts to fast food items that can be purchased down the road at better quality. The menu at (at what should be) the "premier" sit down restaurant is a great example, Hamburgers, BLT, salad and a few other things with the one option of tater tots. Then there are locations like Coney Bar-b-que using lower priced ingredients instead of the best bar-b-que ingredients like brisket and ribs. This isn't going to be fine dining, but it should be better quality and more interesting menu that fast food places down the road. Parks like Hershey, BGW (although their food is severely overpriced) and Knoebels come to mind as far as parks that have a good variety of more unique items on the menu.
  3. They’ve backed themselves into a corner. Season passholders now expect this dining plan. Take it away and they lose customers Keep it, and they lose profit and are forced to offer lower quality food The plan is not generating as much profit for them because of the amount of times most past holders use it. There’s no other chain offering a dining plan like this. Hershey does have a dining plan, but it’s only for the summer. That seems to indicate it’s not a profitable business plan.
  4. IMO The dining plans are absolutely the reason for the low quality food. As these plans are overused they don’t end up making much money on the meals if anything at all. So they continue to cut quality and portions to combat that. That being said, Kings Island has absolutely some of the worst food quality and selection in the chain. The food has never been good there and they really didn’t increase their food quality much during that time When the parks actually were increasing food quality (that time is well over).
  5. Overall these stunt shows have not been well produced. They basically just play music and do stunts and there’s no coordination between the two. I don’t know what the dancers are for because they don’t do any significant choreography. I would rather see this amphitheater used in the evening for the bandstand show like they did in 2014.
  6. One thing I don’t care for is that the vehicles are grouped in two. You hear the same dialogue twice. Also they should just the first Maestro scene and Larry that follows. Larry talks before Maestro is finished.
  7. I am just amazed with the quality of ride that they produced. So these comments below are just comments. There were a few things that were better about the original ride. The theater performance scene was more grand. The talking face projection in the armor The talking gargoyle. I also agree more music would make it better, especially in the very beginning where the posters are. The maestro’s organ music throughout the ride would increase the mood.
  8. Are the gargoyles eyes supposed to light up and is the concave statue supposed yo have a turning face? I thought i saw those effects on the opening video.
  9. The ONLY reason to eat anything at the park is the one is on the season dining plan. The food is horrible. The prices are outrageous. If one uses the dining plan enough I guess they get their moneys worth paying about four or five dollars a meal. it’s not even worth that though. Any fast food restaurant outside of the park is better. But unfortunately, this is the direction. Six Flags has decided to go. Cheap meal plans low quality, food and gouging anyone that’s not on the meal plan. It doesn’t seem like a very good business plan to me. Giveaway bad food to everyone that’s on the meal plan and then overcharge anyone that is an occasional visitor to the point they will be sure not to eat there again.

As far as fireworks and drones go. I know they’re tradition but I would take all the rides being open from 930 till 10 over a five minute fireworks show anytime. It used to be just The Beast they close but now its several including multiple coasters. The fountains and lasers could stand on their own in a show if it was well done ( and the fountains worked)

Are they controlled by wiress? Is that the issue? The first year they had these fountains they used them reasonably well for the night show, and they were choreographed well timed with the music. In that show, they also used music with a strong beat that allowed choreography with the fountains. The current night show is just an absolute disaster in my opinion The music is awful and it’s just a bunch of drones flying around and fireworks shooting with no coordination to the music. There are some changes in the fountain when the music switches, but nothing I would call choreographed. They totally have wasted any potential this fountain had for a show.
  12. There is some production value to the show with some choreograhy etc. but not to the quality i would like to see in that theater. The show itself is a LOT of lady-in-a-box tricks. This is a nice theater and a great place to take a break for them heat (or cold) during a day. I wish during the summer, they would have summer-long, in-park productions like the theater originally hosted. Instead of the totally outsourced, park-to-park rotating shows they have been having recently. The Cirques being the exception. They were full-production and shows worthy of the theater.

Since the renovation, I don't believe that i have ever seen 100% the jets functioning properly at the same time. It was normally 2 or 3. But currently there appears to be a significant amount of them not working. I personally didn't mind the renovation and the changeover to the in-water jets, but it seems the system they used as replacement is problematic.
  14. These memberships are a scam to continue to get money out of people when they forget to stop their membership. With a season pass there’s no other action required. It ends at the end of the year. I would be very, very cautious to buy a Six Flags membership. The last time I had one there I actually had to stop my credit card to stop the billing when I wanted to cancel it. They made it absolutely impossible to cancel. They wanted you to input the transaction number on the original purchase in order to cancel. This company is known for bait switch and scamming customers. This is just another way for them to do that.
  15. KI had a lot more trees, 20 years ago. Cedar Fair unfortunately did not like to maintain trees. Anytime they cut one down they did not replace it and many times they did not even remove the stump. I agree if the park had more trees, it would be as nice as Kings Dominion I also agree another dark ride in the park would have been excellent. Something like the lost world complex at Kings Dominion.
