I'm sorry. I think this is going to be taller than what I'm seeing predicted. We know the scale on the plans are wrong. From scale measurements I'm taking from the footer 53.5 on the plans, (which is 25' 6" long) it looks to me like the lift hill distance from beginning to top is closer to 375' as opposed to 340' long. That means the height would be between 310' - 315', depending on the actual distance. I used the ride electrical partial site plan area 1 to get my scale measurement of 53.5, and then lift hill which shows the beginning footer and top of hill on it. Anybody out there is welcome to check me on this, I'm not an engineer.

You're going to get Maverick all hyped up again lol

While this is certainly a possibility, I kind of feel like it is grasping at straws taking these numbers out as stats. I just feel that as we continue to see even more of these posters, there will be many, many numbers that could be taken out and figured to be stats. Also, Firehawk’s poster closely resembled its total riders, so I don’t think it is hinting at stats. All in all, this is still a good theory!

Some might believe that these are just generic teasers filled with nonsense that's meant to misdirect people, that all these "teasers" are really alluding to the general theme of "X-Base," "government testing," "etc." All of it playing into the theme you've seen in the blueprints. Pretty sure I cracked the code, though. The "O" is pronounced "Oh." After enough posters go up, you'll get... "O, O, O, Oh, O..... O, O, Oh, O..... O, O, O, Oh, O.... The Right Stuff.," Not only is that an incredible song by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch, but The Right Stuff is a space themed movie. Edit: Nevermind, The Right Stuff is owned by Warner Brothers so that's not it. Sorry, guys.

I think we've all waited long enough for some action from the park. No hurt in some excessive decoding lol I wouldn't take anything to heart, and I think we all know the gist of what we are getting anyway, so let's have fun coming up with theories about the teasers while we have the chance. Just a couple short weeks until the announcement I'm sure
  14. 8 points
I don't think many realize that it is the last of its kind in North America.

So this is new, at least to me. In the FOF plaza, they are announcing codes: blue, yellow, green and red. All end with "please report to hangar 18." Is this new? Also, on KMAA, the Zodiac signs say highest grade and trim brakes...highest KI coaster and trolling? [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

    No mcbr on Banshee

Diamondback and Banshee both have capacity at or above 1600 riders per hour. No way this coaster will have less than that. It will be a crowd eater.

Yoooo. I think I’ve decoded something FOR REAL. The “Tests Administered” Numbers might mean something. Possible ride stats ... I may even know what stats are being said. Here’s the stat from Invertigo 11,554,278 Or 11554278 5427 ft is only 28 ft off from my prediction of 5455 ft for the track length. From Flight of Fear 6,761,893 Or 6761893 189 seconds or 3 min and 9 seconds is about the same total ride time as Leviathan, a competitively similar B&M “giga” coaster. And for the most controversial ... From Firehawk ... 6,762,893 Or 6762893 289 ft is a height value that is within 5-7 ft of any reasonable estimate for the height of the coaster. I am still holding that the coaster will be called a 300 ft tall coaster but this potential stat is very interesting. Although, I’m hoping that number is a red herring and the only number that matters is the one at the end that says 3. Lol ... 3 total trains Make sense anyone?!

It doesn't have a launch, we are getting a chain lift. Nothing to be sad about that!
  25. 7 points
From these teasers, I'm kind of getting a science like type theme. I know they are there to throw people off, but that is definitely the general theme of these posters. I think that theme would fit will in X-Base.
  26. 7 points
What if we get a launched Giga? lol
  27. 7 points
We were all so upset that there wasn’t any teasers. lo and behold they had a very detailed plan all along!

I swear if the next poster has an R...

Oooh ooh, or, stick with me now... maybe this has nothing to do with the Giga and instead it’s telegraphing that next year recaR sdrawkcaB will make its triumphant return!!! A girl can hope.

Well, it was, at one point, the tallest roller coaster at KI. So, yes, it is obviously sinking.
  32. Viking Fury responds very poorly to rain. If it rains enough, the ship will hydroplane on the tires that drive the ride's swing. Not only will the ship not be able to make its full swing while this happens, it can even mess up the tires, which is an even worse off mechanical issue. It can take an entire 24 hours for the tires to dry up. In my time working at Viking Fury, we sometimes had to close down after cleaning up vomit because the hose we used made the tires too wet. Overall, the ride is just very fragile when it comes to rain. More often than not, it will close down when it rains.

It's because the B&M gigas have at least 5 blocks, two of which are stacked together via their super long brake runs at the end. Our giga will be the same. 1. Station 2. Lift Hill 3. 1st portion of brake run 4. 2nd portion of brake run 5. Transfer track Also I believe Banshee's brake run is capable of holding all three of its trains, meaning it has 5 blocks too.
  34. 6 points
Good eye. I think that can pretty much confirm 3 trains

So as far as the poster that was taken down and then put back up, I want to clarify something... at least to the best of my speculation and experience. It's very unlikely that there was a stat on there that was wrong or anything like that. At least that's not why it was taken down. If a ride has had 16,000,000 riders vs 11,000,000 riders it's irrelevant. They just wanted to have a big number there that is believable and looks aesthetically pleasing. Likely what happened was far less glorious than even that. When it comes to print media - whether it's a sign, billboard, or book, there are always several submissions by the graphics team (or person). Usually the "powers that be" choose which version they like and then suggest changes from there. It's VERY easy for the wrong version of the file to end up in the printer's hands. I work with a company that self-published a book. The version that was approved was not the same version they had on file. They printed thousands of the wrong thing - despite it being different from the sample. This company had to negotiate purchasing more books while also arranging for the destruction of the old ones. The difference is, KI has their own sign shop. The wrong version got printed so all they had to do was reprint it. I'd love to be wrong and for there to be a vast conspiracy, but I'm pretty confident that's what happened.

I think we will see Vortex sooner then later.

I'm hoping for Polaris to be the name. I think the park could have made some money if they sold two shirts with the same design but one said Orion and the other said Polaris and whichever sold the most would end up being the name for the new ride.
  39. 6 points
Although it is hard telling, assuming there isn't going to be too much space in between the words they are spelling, LARIS might use up the space between O and KI better than RION, which would leave an awkward amount of space. This is based on a lot of other assumptions, including whether it was the first O that appeared for Orion and if the letters are even going to spell the title at all. Also, what are the chances of the letters being placed scrambled for further decoding?
  40. 6 points
They are clearly spelling out Loki. He is a trickster... But Polaris has 7 letters. Not that I expect them to actually spell out the name of the coaster.
  41. 6 points
Sorry guys, I don't think we are looking at a launch here. The lift hill section of the blueprints basically shows the stuff needed for a chain lift.
  42. 6 points
It’s an O ? I wonder if is spelling out a roller coaster name besides polaris

So the “testing” that was included on the original Invertigo poster (I apologize if any of this is a repeat) seems to mostly center around what tests would be done on a patient to determine the source of dizziness. Which makes sense because the words above that also all relate to dizziness: syncope (fainting), oscillopsia (involuntary eye movements that can cause dizziness), and vestibular (the body system whose disruption causes dizziness). A “Romberg” test evaluates the subject’s proprioception, which is our sense of where the body is in space. It can be used to evaluate intoxication. The actual test is basically for the subject to stand with their eyes shut for a minute, and see if they sway or fall. The Fukuda-Unterberger test is also a test of the vestibular system which tests for sources of dizziness. In this test the subject closes their eyes and walks in place, and then the amount they have turned from their original facing is evaluated. An MRI is a scan using that big magnetic tube to take pictures inside the brain and body. Posturography is testing that evaluates changes in a person’s sense of balance. So, basically, all of these words together make a pretty cohesive description of testing that might be done to evaluate how dizzy a ride makes the test subjects. However, at least at first glance, the replacement poster has little if any cohesion or plot... I’ll be looking closer at it, but it makes it even more confusing to me that the first poster was switched for the second.

Ever since I discovered the posters had indeed been switched out yesterday, I’ve been trying to figure out a scenario in which it makes sense. I’ve failed to come up with anything particularly satisfactory. I just don’t feel like the specific details that were changed had deeper meaning that made it important enough to “get right.” I’ll admit I could be wrong. But if the second version of the posters was so much more “correct” in its information, why would the first posters even have been printed/mounted? Because they are so similar, how was the mistake, if it was simply a mistake, recognized and rectified so quickly? It also seems unlikely to me that the park would change them as trolling. I feel like if they were going to do that, the originals would be up more than a couple hours. Oh well, hopefully more posters or other information will be added soon that will, if not clear things up, at least give me a new mystery to distract me from this one. Because putting up posters and then replacing them a couple hours after their reveal with different but fundamentally equivalent ones is just plain strange.

Given the teaser posters involve coasters/attractions that have scientific and/or flying motifs, I would assume subsequent posters will require attractions that share the same somewhat similar qualities: Vortex - A giant robot arm gripping coaster track as the ride's logo? Yeah, seems science-y enough. The Bat - Given the ride's previous incarnation as a fighter jet, I'd assume they'd add it to the list. Banshee - Not scientific, yet it's still got the massive flying motif going for it. Delirium - Not a coaster, but this could tie into the "experimental programs" the teaser posters indicate. Drop Tower - See Delirium. This also works in terms of "experiments" featuring drops of various heights given the 315 foot tower height (albeit with the actual drop on the ride being 265 feet). This also assumes the sequence in the posters ends with 8.
