Season Pass Fast Lane Plus has officially been marked as sold out for the season

I really, really hope the computer issues at the gate are fixed for tomorrow, or else, good googly moogly.

The admission system crashed several times at opening and they finally just let people walk through without scanning anything, just holding up your season pass as you entered.  Thank goodness the drink and meal plans still scanned successfully even though you weren’t officially scanned into the park.  There really was no excuse for the admission system crashing in my opinion as no real surprise that the park would be packed on season pass preview as in other year.  There were also issues with the cash cards not clearing and causing the micros registers to crash at many of the food places (causing lengthy register reboots).  Seems the same exact thing happened with micros registers crashing last year with season pass  preview day too.

I wonder if the park has a backup if all credit card systems go down since they are now cashless.

The new music on International Street was very pleasant (if perhaps a bit loud). Will this be the regular music for the year or were they trying something out for the passholder preview day?

The train had some upgrades, and some new friends!

In addition to the new paint job, refurbishment, and a fixed band organ it got a cool new sign! Established 1926! That makes it 96 years old, according to most peoples’ calculations!

I DIG the front gate sign! Reminds me of the stage set for CP’s 150th.

The Off The Rails show looks exiting!

Coney Confections got a fresh new look!

Over all, I’m loving how the park looks this year! Almost EVERYTHING has been touched by paint! Yeah yeah, Diamondback and Banshee could use it, but still! The park looks new!

One odd thing is that Tower Gardens was closed, and the flipped movie stones were removed. What does it mean? Probably not a ton. But if any part of the park needed a hug, that’s it.

You missed the other changes on the train route LOL.

• Removal of the old "station" for the haunt event and replaced with landscaping.
• Added trees along the route.
• Cleared out the area around Teddy and created a little scene with a lake and walking path (not that we can walk on it LOL), but unfortunately put a hole in Teddy's head LOL.

I was dismayed that they removed the trees in the AE plaza but understand why.  The grass looks nice and the redbud trees will fill in nicely, but that was always a nice cool area to walk through.

I noticed the hole as well.  Guess those new townsfolk must be pretty good shots with their muskets

Also where some of the new trees are along the route, they removed the "temporary station" that they used during the Haunt when they had a walkback through the WWC queue.

For the first time since 2011 Land Down Under by Men at Work has played in the park. What an amazing nod to Boomerang Bay.

The nostalgia is real

Looks to be a slow opening day.  Very light crowds. 

Was some seating removed at Showplace? First few rows look to be at least temporarily missing because of the stunt show setup, and up top, expanded handicap access where the "Reserved" part used to be on the left of the center entrance?

Anyone want to ride at 53 degrees?

Yes, at least 4 rows were removed.

Did they finally get rid of that hideaous chain link surrounded gravel clearing on the train ride?!!!!!!!     It was absolutely the biggest eyesore on the ride.

They did!!

Also, both arcades have been renovated with new games and new carpeting. 
 

Jazz and sax ERT also heard in Coney Mall.

They also got rid of the fake stump electric outlet mess.   
 

There are lots of new little evergreens on the train route. 
 

If those aren’t decked out with lights for Winterfest I’m going to be highly disappointed. 

Who else is looking forward to this?
