International Street Future Update
Huge missed opportunity in the 2019 renovation. While the renovation is much better than the previous version (with notable exceptions), had they done some relatively simple things, the area would be much more cohesive. They could have used pavers to create visual curbs, like what Dominion has. They should have redone the pavers between the turnstyle building and the fountain. What is there looks busy and dated. They should have replaced the asphalt around the Eifel Tower and the arteries around it. Pavers would have been a better choice than concrete that they put around the grand merry go round that they placed last year. Tower Gardens should have been renovated with pavers. They should have added the gas lamps, or gas style lamps back in. They need more flowers. Those could have been hanging baskets on the lamp posts, the mulch areas inside the fence of the fountain. They need more lush landscape at the base of the tower. See KD. They should incorporate more country-specific items--for example, at the Spanish Building, they have the statuary. They should have Roman statuary near the Italian Building. Hopefully the 2039 renovation will address some of these issues.

What Replaces Xtreme Skyflyer?
I'm trying to visualize what lawn games would look like. Horseshoes? Croquette? If this was a popular area, how would you actually make the lawn live? Lots of average 190 pound people tramping, sitting and probably laying on the grass would kill it. Artificial turf would be too hot. Hardscape is a solution, but all of AZ, for the most part, is already hardscape. And with entertainment being cut, I don't think they would add more, especially to an area that has proved it doesn't attract live music well...I don't think small shows would do well there, either.

Animatronics On White Water Canyon?
I would rather see investment in KI&MVRR. They could get bang for the buck and tie theming into both attractions, but I wouldn't bank on it.

Has Kings Island Peaked?
I don't know if I would use the word "peaked" to describe Kings Island. I think "they" are focusing on what makes them the most money in the market: families. With selling so many season passes and all that go along with it, the company is happy to maintain rather than build. We are a much better park today than we were in 2005 and 2013. Some things have declined, like the redo of the Royal Fountain and the destruction of Vortex, but we have better new coasters, flats, maintenance and atmosphere. Things are typically cyclical, and when there are more non renewals and less new sales, they will react swifty with something major. I think like fine wine, Kings Island has aged/matured fairly well. Hopefully, there isn't a midlife crisis down the road....I'd hate to see the park get an expensive sports car, toupees and young girlfriend, metaphorically speaking.

Live Entertainment
I guess my point is: If they are happy with the numbers the park is producing, why spend the money? CP has hotels to fill (and basically an economy to support) so they likely have more robust entertainment to fill those rooms. Kings Island, on the other hand, has people who visit the park multiple times a year, buy add ons, and enjoy a solid park, with "just good enough" additions. I would personally love more enterainment: clown band, a train show, pop up shows, PTE-level season long shows in KIT. However, keeping the fireworks every night, having Grand Carnivale, Winterfest etc is a better use of entertainment dollars IMHO.

Live Entertainment
Because why should they? People buy their passes every year for KI. It's a regional tradition. They have built up this season pass base because of excellent operations, cheap passes, meal and drink plans. This is their bread and butter. So they don't need to spend the money. Put another way ...I bought a Purple 4 mattress a few years ago and love it. Most comfortable mattress I've ever had. They have since reinvented their product line. A friend bought a new Purple mattress and it's better than mine. But there is no reason at all for me to upgrade because it's working for me. In a like manner, my Purple 4 is the entertainment options at KI. CP has more entertainment than KI, so they have the new Purple mattress. KI isn't going to adjust their entertainment budget because of CP just like I'm not going to get an upgraded Purple because my friend got one, even though it's better.

Flight of Fear Light Package Upgrade for 2025
Amazing adaptive use of some of the old light strings from the world's second tallest Christmas tree. Or so I've heard tell of. Correction: since Six Flags killed WinterFest at KD, I guess we now can claim the record back.

Ride Wait Times 2025
Even Onion has not hit a stride yet. Via webcam, dispatches have been slow when I have watched. Of course, that's anecdotal as I'm not constantly watching.

Backlot Stunt Coaster Becomes Queen City Stunt Coaster
How much longer do you think this ride has left in service life? 20 years old, launch coaster and some strong track stress points. If it has about 10 years left, I don't see them investing much. If they plan on long term ride life, it would be awesome to see them invest in an idea such as yours. Reskin the cars, remove or dress up the Conex containers, landscape heavily and remove the junkyard theme. They could theme each train with those colors as a nod, what other Cincinnati/NKY easter eggs could they throw in?

2026 Wing Coaster
A few thoughts: splitting it could make a lot of sense if they got rid of TimberWolf. There's a ton of concrete that exists, so an aeronautic theme could be pulled off. The other side, as you mentioned, would be great as an Oktoberfest expansion, a haunted area, or a reintroduction of Adventure Village. That would tie in well with Adventure Port. Or, they could make the entire area Adventure Village again, similar to JungleX, with a multiple year phase in. Some are calling for this to be a DC Universe land as well.

Kings Island’s Newest Merchandise
The sinks...are they like the ones at Lowe's and Costco? Where there is barely any pressure and you have to squeeze your hands into about 2.5" of clearance?

Kings Island’s Newest Merchandise
Two questions: 1. How are the renovated planet/camp Snoopy restrooms? ( I am assuming they did both ends of the building 2.Are the omnipresent chicken strips generic Sysco frozen strips, about the size of a golf pencil again this year? Or are they fresh, never frozen hand breaded meat? Ok, I asked three. Sorry.

What Replaces Xtreme Skyflyer?
Gotcha, I didn't understand that you were routing it this way. It makes sense to use existing infrastructure and they could have the photo booth there as well. And it could bring a much needed cosmetic boost to that building. However, a wild mouse is a minor coaster, so I don't think they would put much effort into it.

What Replaces Xtreme Skyflyer?
They already have the coasters gift shop there. Banshee gift shop was turned into an arcade. Mystic Timbers has no gift shop, nor does Onion or The Beast ( pop up market is more like it).

Turned off, or broken?

Ride Wait Times 2025
Usually there is a wait for the front row for last ride of the night. But they will disband at 10pm that and tell people go to any open row. This is done to close the ride down quicker. it doesnt matter if you spent $800 on a FL or are one of the peasants.

Do they have 3 trains on Diamondback, mystic, Cincy junkyard coaster, The Beast, Banshee? Looks like The Racer is only two trains.

Backlot Stunt Coaster Becomes Queen City Stunt Coaster
Nice change! Hopefully this is the start of a major thematic overhaul. Police cars and storage crates don't seem to project a great image of the Queen City

Kings Island 2025 Food Reviews and Discussion
I don't see what the problem is with Coney Mall Skyline. If its a crowded day, premake a bunch of 3 ways and chilidogs. People who want cheese, chili etc on the side, just have to wait longer. The common items (meal plans) should be ready to hand out as soon as the transaction is complete.
