Disney World TR
Disney’s customer service is truly one of the many aspects that places them above and beyond any other company (and not just in the amusement/theme park industry). I have yet to find any other company or business that comes remotely close to the quality of customer service you will receive while on Disney’s property.

And what happens when everyone buys one these passes to bypass the line... well you just paid an extra $40 to wait in line my friend

First fully vertical wooden roller coaster!
I'm sure any insurance company will be more than happy to increase your premium, especially if they don't have to increase your coverage limits.

Imagine Winterfest
Considering most of the coasters will not operate in temperatures below 50 (the average temperature for the month of December is 31.6) and the fact that all of the coasters are undergoing winter rehab work at that time I highly doubt they would consider starting them up. I do remember one or two days in which the temperature got up into the 50's and a few weeks later a snow storm hit closing Winterfest for a night or two.

^Either way we are talking about the same seat(s)

Hardest Ride at KI to Operate
Not as long as you might think. The pumps used are quite impressive and quickly fill the trough.

Vortex Sinking
Actually I believe it refers to the car and row number, not specific seats. 5-1 = 5th car, 1st row.

Guess Who's Getting a Paint Job
I know of these "credentials" that you you speak of and so desperately want to know... All I will say is that AZ Kinda Guy's "credentials" that are being questioned are in fact ligit. I can assure you that if anyone on this forum knows what they are talking about regarding this topic (and many more), it would be him.

KI Haunt Hours
^Perfect example. Just because the park closes doesn't mean that all the employees get to go home right away. Most have to clean their areas for the next operating day, and can't leave until that is done. As for opening, the employees don't just show up at 9:59am for a 10:00 opening they are there 1-2 hours before the public takes over the park prepping for the day. Theses are examples of your average employee, not managers (obviously they would be there earlier and later)

If one of these things could happen at KI...
According to the CP website and KI website, both of these rides have the same cycle length (2min 30 sec) unless the cycle is otherwise inturrupted by a ride op or the computer system.

New Roller Coaster Idea for the future
Quote of the week right here... While the idea sounds good, I fear that this ride would suffer the same fate as IJST (BLSC) within a year or two.

Turn Boomerang Bay Into Halloween Haunt?
^My hot tub flows and drains water, is that a lazy river or river rapids ride? A lazy river is typically 2-3 feet deep and is lined with concrete walls. A river rapids ride (like thunder canyon and WWC)is a little deeper however much wider. The difference is like comparing the width of a hallway in your house to the width of a 2 car garage. Obvously in a lazy river bed there is a limited area in which people can go. This becomes more congested when you start adding halloween props and scare actors. I won't even get into fire codes and emergency exits, but I'm sure that would also be a factor. We're not taking it further then intended, we are answering your original question...

Turn Boomerang Bay Into Halloween Haunt?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,,,,,, So what's so different between our Lazy River & the one at Cedar Point? They use theirs for CornStalkers. Can't say that I've had the pleasure of drifting through CP's lazy river, or walking through it while drained as I have at KI. Well, I never did say ALL of HH, just some, if not most. I'm saying, like Cornstalkers could be moved over to BB, or maybe even more Haunts. I think GYK made some valid points and I think it's just too far out of the way from the rest of the haunts. It would be one thing if they could fit it all in BB. But you get back to the problem with guests walking through or past a closed area of the park (PS and picnic grove)and trying to make sure no guests wonder off in the closed area.

Turn Boomerang Bay Into Halloween Haunt?
First thing that pops into my head is when it rains, all of that water flowing in and into the lazy river and wave pools. Granted both have several drains, but there still remains a puddling problem and a slip and fall issue. Not to metion damage to the props and scenery

Hardest Ride at KI to Operate
^The original post was what ride is the most difficult to operate, not which ride is the hardest to work. If you want to talk about braving the elements, Skyflyer would again be at the top of my list. Very little shade and out in the sun all day long. In fact most of the flat rides offer very little shade for the employees unless the sun is directly overhead. WWC while yes they are out there walking on the moving platform in the sun, they also have other positions that sit in towers soak people with water cannons.

Hardest Ride at KI to Operate
It's down half the time, idiots jumping into the lockout areas (yes, it happens), complaints about wait time, "I thought this was Flight of Fear!", people who refuse to use the lockers then complain when they lose their stuff, people who ignore the posted signs about loose articles and loose their stuff... etc. So from what I'm getting from your statement is that the guests that ride are what is difficult to handle, not the operation of the ride.

Hardest Ride at KI to Operate
Monster is probably the one ride that you really have the most control over as a ride op. I would definatley put it at the top of the list as one of the more difficult rides to operate. The train(s) is/are not actually operated by ride operators. This is where your personal preference would kick in. I was never a fan of working The Beast or Racer. However, I did enojy working FOF, F/O (or Invertigo), Top Gun (Flight Deck). All have their own unique qualities. I did like working higher capacity rides, so working at AE was perfect for me where we worked to unload, load, and dispatch a train within one minute and ten seconds (and that was with one bar checker on each side with 3 trains operating; not the 4 bar checkers under 2 trains like what CF has in place now). I did forget about Skyflyer, this would probably be at the top followed by Monster

KI Opens for 39th season on April 30th, 2011
If you are going to make such a bold statement regarding the safety and maintenance of a ride (which could be viewed by the park as slander), you better have something to back it up other than how the ride looks. Unless you have the actual inspection in your hand or know of the grades that the park received on their inspections you really have no merit to make such a statement. The way I see it, passing is passing whether if it's by 1 point or by 20 points... What do you call a student who finishes med school at the bottom of the class with a 2.1 GPA? Doctor AZ Kinda Guy was not being a jerk...he was mearly pointing out that someone made a wild accusation that the park was doing the "bare minimum to pass state inspections" when they have no expertise to back that statement up other than what they can see from the walkway during their visits.

Was this patron by any chance talking to a Dippin' Dots guy?

Cold Weather Closures
As one of our managers used to say... "When guests come into the park, most of them check their brains at the front gate."

Cold Weather Closures
50 is the opening temperature too. I remember being ridiculed by a woman one morning because her younger daughter couldn't get on IJST right away. I explained the reason and she said I was lying because she claimed it had been open the previous week on time and it was colder than it was that particular morning. AE was the same opening temperature too.

Friday Crowds
I would think Friday's wouldn't be too bad since high school football games are going on at the same time. ...Now we just need a topic about Saturday crowds and the tri-fecta is complete.

Closed rides for haunt
I'll go with... The ride went down, it makes more sense to get a jump start on the off season maintenance then to try to correct the problem and risk it acting up again before the end of the season.

Should KI and Cedar Fair Discontinue Halloween Haunt?
