Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
I see. That is a completely different circumstance. I'd hope they could just do the right thing and roll your pass to the following year or refund your money given the circumstances. Of course the decision is totally up to you.

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
I don't know you are or what you do, but you work too hard to be giving charity to amusement parks! Guys once again I don't foresee this being an issue. Kings Island is smart enough to keep the passholders happy. I'm sure whatever situation arises they'll make it right.

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
I can't imagine losing a home and irreplaceable things like family photos. It has to be the worst physical thing that someone can lose. I can say now at least for me I'll consider pandemics we can't treat well as a new possibility in my mind. I was a kid when 9/11 happened, but I'd imagine and people can attest to this or not, but I'd imagine most Americans did not think of the possibility of terrorism happening to them. Now I see it as at least a possibility and I think I'll think similarly about a largely untreatable pandemic.

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
I've heard similar stories about the generation who lived through the Depression. They always would act as if there might not be a next meal because for many years there wasn't one for a while. Thankfully, I don't think this will reach the hardship levels of the Great Depression which itself became a way of life for over a decade. I was thinking about that generation myself when I made the post. Thanks for sharing!

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
That's an interesting topic to think about. Are you guys thinking this more in terms of government or everyday people? I think it's effects on everyday people may be more interesting. Will people that lived through it always keep a bigger store of supplies? Well they value small things they take for granted? People do tend to have short memories though. 9/11 irrevocably changed the world in some regards. I can't see a low flying plane without just for a bit thinking it might be hijacked. However, I'd say the unity and togetherness after that day dissapated relatively quickly unfortunately.

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
You're using common sense. They're not going to slam the gate and say, "We got you suckers! See you next year!" Everybody give the park a 'lil' credit!

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
If they wanted to, they could do it in a heartbeat. If they can arrest people out illegally in a level 3 snow emergency, a virus would not be much different. *I don't yet expect this to happen, but it is a possibility.

Coronavirus Impacting Theme Parks
In that scenario you likely wouldn't be safe going to any public place or your workplace. If Coronavirus got that bad in this area, amusement parks would not be on your mind. Just take it all in stride. I would not get too worried at this point.

Fun Spot looks into buying Indiana Beach
It was worth a shot. I wonder if it was a price issue, the condition the park was in, or that Indiana Beach just wasn't making the money Fun Spot was wanting. I wouldn't completely rule out a deal happening since someone would probably make one last offer before they sell everything off.

Fun Spot looks into buying Indiana Beach
If they are willing to just do an asset sell off, I can't imagine that the park itself will cost a ton of money. This would be wonderful if it happens. There's way too many parks closing out there and not enough opening!

Apex Parks Group adds Indiana Beach to their portfolio
I wish Ed Hart could swoop in. He's done an excellent job with saving and revitalizing Kentucky Kingdom.

Apex Parks Group adds Indiana Beach to their portfolio
Indiana Beach is one of the more enjoyable parks I've been to out of many. I've been there 3 times and it was always really fun and enjoyable. It has a totally unique feel and is very memorable. The greatest attribute of the park was the location. It was always cooler than other parks because of the wind off of the lake. The criss-crossing rides and shops packed underneath rides made for a very unique experience. Wild Hawg is a good coaster. Hoosier Hurricane is very good, and Cornball Express (the one time I was there when it was running) was great. This was the last place I could play Fascination. The loss of those tables is a tragedy in and of itself. Dr. Frankenstein's Castle was, next to Noah's Ark, the best walk through attraction in the country. I really hope someone steps up to buy it, but I know that the chances are not great.

Area 72
^ Congo Falls too. And like I said, Timberwolf if they want to go that route.

Area 72
I'm not trying to be a stick in the mud, but I don't think that Area 72 (formerly X-Base, and previously Fort Kinzel, and before that Fort Cooper), is a good place for potential park expansion. There is one way in and one way out bottleneck that creates a lot of congestion on the busiest days. If somehow it could be expanded to the length of The Racer, and connected with that second pathway its feasible, but still not ideal. If they want to expand, and it's been 20 years so maybe they don't, I would do it in Action Zone by better utilizing the existing space and removing Timberwolf.

Which Section Needs the Most Work?
I'd love a Black forest themed Action Zone with a renewed Oktoberfest. I'd like to see more emphasis on the theming of the areas in general with area specific foods, music and costumes.

Kings Island to announce 2020 operating calendar on January 16, 2020 at 3 P.M.
Gift horse? How is Kings Island giving a gift to us by having less operating hours than last year or (still) more than Cedar Point? Kings Island provides a park and we decide whether it's worth going to for x amount of money. I don't see anything wrong with expressing a little criticism, a paying customer has an amount of discretionary income and businesses have to compete for it.

Do you think OktoberFest will replace Action Zone?
This is something I've been wanting them to do for sometime. Will they do it? I seriously doubt it. If they ever did it i would imagine it would be a a part of a large renovation/expansion that would include getting rid of Timberwolf.

Racer 2019?
I have to imagine it would run better with Millennium Flyers than those track shredding three bench PTC's.

Dinn Corporation in West Chester Ohio
I don't know if you know this but just in case, the Gravity Group which was formed from the ashes of CCI which itself was formed from the ashes of the Dinn Corporation is currently located in West Chester.

Action Zone retheme
As someone who has wished this very thing would happen on these boards, you have my support.

Vortex Removal Updates
1. Tear it down and replace it with a dedicated prefab steel building. 2. Add classy looking graffiti on the side of the building for good measure a la Club Blood. 3. Make it a "premium" haunt.

Oktoberfest Discussion
If theming somehow became important again to the powers that be, I'd like to see all of what used to be known as Action Zone absorbed into Oktoberfest with a full retheme.

Vortex Is Leaving After This Fall Season
I'd love to see the station reused for some future coaster. The handicap accessibility issue did cross my mind. I don't know how the rules would apply in this case. I remember they had to widen the Shake Rattle and Roll line, on the other hand Cedar Point re-used the White Water Landing line and station for Maverick.

The Flat Ride Speculation Thread
I rode the new Zamperla Endeavor at Kentucky Kingdom. It is everything good about the Enterprise, but better. Better view (less nausea and more enjoyable) and legs dangle. I definitely would approve of one being installed at KI.

Vortex Is Leaving After This Fall Season
Since we do not know the fate of The Vortex station, (I'd love to see it re-used someday), I'd very much appreciate if someone could do a video like this for Vortex.
