  1. if you're an eighth too tall, do they check that? or are you just uncomfortable in the seat?
  2. Which behind The Racer though? Like by FoF or by the FX theatre? both could be interpreted as behind.
  3. If anything, I wish it would go a little longer, a couple more of the high swings, but that ride is definately one of the best flats ever. A better pure ride than TRTR, but with theming there is competition.
  4. Some people like the fact that it's in a bottle because they don't have to drink it all or throw it away before they get on the ride, and they can refill that if they want, or buy another one. Also, some people don't know you can go up to stands with a tap and get free cups of water.
  5. If I remember correctly, its a 40% discount on merch.
  6. yeah, mixed drinks are so much better than water... let me tell you... being even more dehydrated on those hot days...
  7. All they have to do is ship the boxes of "LaRosa's Pizza Sauce," just like they do for Kings Island. That's the only unique thing about the pizza. I believe it.
  8. Well, I learned something new about Subway today. Apparantly, the one at Kings Island isn't the only one that serves Coke. I had always thought it was, but it turns out that the one in Clifton also serves Coke. I hope that I'm wrong in remembering that it used to serve Pepsi, because that might mean that the entire Subway chain could be switching, and that would be a tragedy. Alas, I just wanted to say that.
  9. I just took you to mean that you didn't want to go because there would be lines-- Sorry.
  10. It just seems that you're shortsighted for only seeing that the park has chipped paint, or at least thats how i see it. perhaps my sight is short. But, did you not say that the restaurant should be themed to Scooby or TR? Scooby already has a gigantic presance in the park, and TR is on the other side of the park, so neither of those would work. It's not inconsistant. Inconsistancy would be overlap, or selling chinese food and hot dogs in the same place. So what, there's nothing like the Shrimp Shack around it... what relevance do the tower and the carousel have to each other? Conversely, why are SOB and The Beast on opposite sides of the park? It doesn't have to fit in to work. I think its great. Sorry if I singled you out even worse... Sorry about singleing you out in the first place, I guess.
  11. Isn't it nice to have some diversity, as far as the theming aspects go? I don't want the whole park themed to one thing. Its better to have some variant, and maybe, you know, just maybe, BGSS is a sign of things to come. Maybe the Viking fury will be rethemed into a shrimp boat or something. You don't know. Oktoberfest hasn't been decidedly german for a number of years, nothing is really that german over there anymore anyway, save for the clock on the festhaus and the viking fury. (were the vikings german, anyway?) I say go for it. The park is making a lot of steps in the right direction, except for adding spongebob, and if chipped paint is the worst thing right now, i think the park is doing an awesome job. Its too bad you're too shortsighted to see that.
  12. I hope you're sarcastic, greenghost, because every ride in the park was a walk on. And as far as closing the park today goes: you didn't go because of your beliefs. I respect that. But I had time to visit my family and still go to the park and have fun (or work) afterwards. There are plenty of non-denominational employees, and employees who don't celebrate easter, and people who can work late shifts after going to church or wherever. We all have the option of not working on any given day, and you had the option, as a guest, to not come. Why should it matter if other people had that option? Just because you think that people shouldn't go out and be entertained on easter sunday doesn't mean your views should be pushed on the rest of the world. That sounds pretty saddam-ish to me, for you to want the park to be closed because of a religious holiday... I don't see the park closing for any other kind of holiday, of any other religion. And yes, i just compared you to saddam, inraider.
  13. They won't sell enough at a cheaper price to make up for it. They sell enough at 2.75 so that it doesn't matter. It's great how you want a whole bunch of new things for the park, and you want it to compete with IOA and Universal, but you think that their pop price is too high. Well, I'd almost guarantee that their prices are higher than ours, so... Draw your own conclusion.
  14. PKI cannot be compared with Universal or IOA for a number of reasons, most of which SHOULD be obvious. For starters, Orlando is a MAJOR tourist destination, and Mason, Ohio isnt. Not to mention that everything in the park doesn't need to be repainted every night, and chipped paint is a fact of life. You simply can't compare the two, its like apples and oranges.
  15. Not everybody in the world is religious, and as far as I know, not all religions celebrate easter, so deal. Obviously some people don't care that its open, as they went. Just because it's a holiday doesn't mean you can't have fun at an amusement park.
  16. It was really uncrowded today. Like really. No crowd. At all. When I got to the park, I walked down to my stand, and right away found out I wouldn't be working, because there was nobody in the park. So, I walked on Delirium. What a ride. It is sooooo cool, and so unlike any other ride. before it gets to really swinging, its like the scrambler, how its pushing you against the edges and stuff, but once you get spinning, its insane the feeling you get at the top, and then how fast you're really going when youre at the bottom, plus the g-forces that are on you. It's really something else. And the only thing that made me nauseous was the thought of being nauseous. The ride itself is really really cool. Next, I went and rode SOB. Still rough as ever, and also louder than ever, but still a great ride. After that, I went home, as I didn't feel much like riding anything else. But it was a great day to ride rides. No line for anything.
  17. weird al was awesome back in may of 2000
  18. They could spend some money and take care of the bee problem, because it's really a problem. I bet first aid had a really fun day today.
  19. You can't say the Action Zone dippin dots stand, because there's two dippin dots carts in AZ. one back by top gun, sob, and skyflyer, and one in front of Delirium. The one in front of Delirium has the Sprite Remix stuff. Just thought i'd clarify.
  20. Did anybody go to the pretzel cart down by Congo today?
  21. I don't know how... But I heard it again today, that it happened yesterday.
  22. oh crap... I forgot about that cart. I thought we might have it in those refridgerators, but i've never worked it so I didn't know. Whoops.
  23. i got a really crappy score, like 710 or something...
  24. so does PCW for carowinds AND canada's wonderland? it doesnt make any sense. anyway...

I was scheduled to work 11-close today, so I got to the park around 10:10, on purpose. My girlfriend and I had planned to ride at least one ride before my shift started. We managed to ride SDATHC, waiting in line from the exit, and we got out of the ride at about 10:45. I walked down to my stand and clocked in. I didn't go on a cart today, I was a fake foreman (crew leader). I got to walk around checking on all the carts and taking them stuff. I also got to make pretzels, and I have a nice burn to show for it. The skin is actually blue. Anyway, I did that until about 4:45, when they told me to go home, because I was no longer needed. Great. I thought I was going to have to wait until close for my girlfriend, but it ended up that she got off early too, because I am her ride. We went down to rivertown from her area, and got in line for The Beast. We waited in line for about 5 minutes, and we were 1 train from getting on, and then it broke. The lapbars in certain areas of the train stopped going up, and they had to manually release them. We waited about 30 minutes for them to fix this, but it seemed like there was no end in sight, so we just left the line. After that, we went home. Things I picked up today: Delirium was closed from about 11 until mid-afternoon because (i heard) someone broke their arm. Anybody know anything? The Park was expecting around 30,000 people today. At around 12, there were only about 7,000. Drop Zone broke down at some point in the day. The purple thing that pulls the seats up was stopped halfway up the tower.
